It had gotten dark, and whilst Lois’s newborn cried in a tiny melodic wail, the sound filled the mountain meadow. It was a beautiful noise of softness and urgency—high-pitched, delicate, yet piercing. It traveled a distance, tugging at the heartstrings of a farmer and his daughter, who had wandered into the mountain that evening in search of wild ginseng.

They had just gathered their last roots and were about to leave when the cry sliced through the silence. Both halted, frozen. They looked at one another.

“Father… did you hear that?” the girl whispered, her eyes wide.

The farmer stiffened, shoulders tense. “I heard. A newborn’s cry. But no one would come so far out of the city to abandon a baby here. This could be a lure. A trick to drag fools like us into danger.” He bent down and started gathering his tools, trying to shut the sound from his ears. “Ignore it. We never heard it.”

But the symphonic wails persisted—vulnerable, insistent, echoing against the walls of the mountain. The sound was too real, too raw, not the mimic of evil.

The girl’s brows drew together, her voice sharp with urgency. “Father! That doesn’t sound like a trick. That is a child. Helpless. What if it draws wolves? What if it dies before dawn?!”

Her father’s jaw tightened, his body heavy with reluctance.

“Are you truly this heartless?” she burst out, her voice trembling. “I am a midwifery apprentice—I know the cry of a newborn. This baby was just born, I can tell. If you won’t go, I will. I cannot ignore it!” Without another word she lifted her skirts and bolted toward the cries.

“Wait—!” the farmer growled, cursing under his breath before running after her. He would not let his daughter face danger alone.

The cries grew louder as they neared, and then they saw her—Lois. She lay unconscious in the grass, her body pale, her gown soaked, her belly still swollen. Beside her, a fragile infant cried with all the strength his tiny lungs could give, demanding the world’s attention.

The farmer and his daughter froze, their jaws dropping in disbelief.

The girl gasped, falling to her knees. “Oh heavens…” She scooped the newborn into her arms, rocking him gently. The moment her warmth touched him, his cries stilled into soft whimpers. With steady hands, she tied the cord and wrapped him in her shawl before pressing him close to her chest.

“Father—she’s alive!” she exclaimed after checking Lois’s pulse. Her voice shook with both fear and relief. “We must help her now!”

“Carry her, Father! Quickly!”

The farmer stumbled back. “How? She—she still carries more inside her! I… I don’t know how many—” His voice cracked as he stared at Lois’s beauty, her fragile yet commanding presence, her body fighting death on the forest floor. “How could a woman like this, so… so radiant, be left here? With so many children?” His mind raced with disbelief. “Could she be… a mountain spirit?”

He brushed the hair from Lois’s neck, searching for the sacred wolf mark. But there was none. She was human—too human.

“Father!” his daughter snapped, breaking through his stupor. “You used to carry three sacks of rice on your shoulder without breaking a sweat. She weighs less than one! Move!”

He jolted at her words, and finally, without hesitation, he bent and lifted Lois into his arms bridal-style. Her head lolled against his chest, her breath faint but present. Together, they hurried from the mountain, urgency pushing their steps.

They laid her gently on the grain cart, and the farmer whipped the horse into motion. The night deepened around them, shadows crawling across the road as they raced toward the town.

When they reached their home, the family rushed to greet them, but the farmer ignored their questions, barreling inside with Lois in his arms. He laid her on a bed, his wife and younger children staring in shock.

His daughter was already at work. She fetched her acupuncture kit and swiftly pierced points across Lois’s body with precise hands. Almost at once, Lois stirred, groaning, her eyes flickering open in a blur.

And then came the cry: “Push!”

Her daughter pressed on her belly gently. The contractions surged, tearing a groan from Lois’s lips. Her body arched with agony as she obeyed, pushing with the last of her strength.

A wail cut through the room—another life entering the world. A breathtakingly beautiful girl.

It did not end there. For two hours Lois labored, fainting in and out of consciousness as the midwifery apprentice guided her. One after another, the babies came—four bouncing, strong boys, and two impossibly gorgeous girls. Sextuplets.

When the last was born, Lois collapsed into darkness, utterly spent.

Above the roof, the heavens responded. The full moon bloomed bright and fiery blue, casting silver fire across the sky. Shooting stars fell in torrents, and then—the King’s Star appeared, blazing proud and unmistakable. It was said to shine only when a ruler was born.

The farmer and his daughter stared at the celestial omen, then looked back at the six sleeping newborns nestled against their fainted mother. Their hearts thundered.

“A royal sextuplets…?” they whispered together, voices trembling in awe.

Far away, in his archery field, Alpha Karl stood beneath the same moon. His guards and knights surrounded him in tense silence as the King’s Star burned above.

“Your Majesty!” Wolfe declared, his voice rising with both awe and fear. “This is the day Lady Lois Marrok was destined to deliver. The King’s Star has appeared in the sky, with the fiery blue moon. The heir of Hale Kingdom has been born!”

Karl’s face twisted, his jaw clenched with venom. “She is no Lady. She is my slave. A traitor who abducted my royal heir. A sinner I loathe with every fiber of my being!” His voice thundered, reverberating across the fields. “Search far and wide, scour every city, every mountain. Bring me back my heir!”

His fury crackled like lightning, and his men trembled beneath it.

“Naismith,” Karl growled, eyes narrowing on the trembling officer, “into the dungeon with him! He failed to bring her back!”

The guards seized Naismith. He did not protest. He knew his failure.

Wolfe stepped forward, sweat on his brow. “Your Majesty—the ministers are gathered at the Assembly. They are protesting loudly.”

Karl’s eyes darkened, glowing with raw rage. The ministers—always pressing, always whispering, always mocking him. A cursed king, unfit to produce an heir. Their voices gnawed at his pride.

“To the Assembly,” Karl muttered, his voice low, dangerous.

Wolfe barked the command, and the entourage followed Karl into the grand hall.

Outside, the ministers chanted in fury:

“We’ve never seen such disgrace in the history of Hale! What scandal, if other kingdoms hear that a lowly slave abducted the royal heir of Hale Kingdom?”

“Whirl the world, Your Majesty, and bring back the royal cub of Hale!”

The chant grew louder, heavier, pounding like war drums against Karl’s ears.

“Whirl the world, Your Majesty, and bring back the royal cub of Hale!”

“Whirl the world, Your Majesty, and bring back the royal cub of Hale!”

The words echoed, again and again, rising into a demand that threatened to shatter the night.

"All medications, meals, and drinks served to the royal sextuplets are strictly checked before consumption," Lois stated, her voice clear and ringing with conviction. "I would not dare feed them an unauthorized intake from an unknown or common source."A heavy silence descended upon the interrogation hall. All eyes were fixed on her—her steady gaze, her unshakeable confidence.Sandra managed a slight smirk of contempt. She was furious that Lois had slipped through her trap again; the failure was a burning itch she couldn't scratch. She just has to be pushed out of the palace, Sandra decided. Then I can decide what to do to her next."However, Your Majesty," Sandra began, her voice dripping with venom, "she is a sinner who has committed so many sins, and there was no trial, no punishment, or even a death sentence. Such a sinner is not worthy of being the royal sextuplets' governess. Is your judgment delayed, denied, or adjourned...""I said you should not talk about this again, Sandra!

“It's okay. You can talk,” Alpha Karl said, his voice measured but strained.Sandra took a deep, theatrical breath and began, her voice earnest.“Your Majesty, I have always been deeply concerned with the safety of the royal sextuplets. Even if I cannot have a child of my own, I feel it is my custom to watch over your children. And today, one of my maids who also works at the North Palace discovered something truly disturbing—something that could gravely hurt the sextuplets.”Sandra paused, carefully watching Alpha Karl. She was gratified when his head snapped up, his gaze fixing on her. She had his attention.Clearing her throat, she continued with practiced distress: “My maid found that Lois has been using an unprescribed drug from outside the palace for the sextuplets.”She stopped again, letting the words hang in the air. Alpha Karl's gaze was instantly bright, his jaw rigid, and his fists clenched into hard, white knots.“She gives them an unprescribed decoction? What is that dam

CHAPTER 35Back at the King's Library in the West Palace, the siblings were restlessly rummaging through books while waiting for Wolfe, who had promised to return quickly.“He said he'd be back in an hour. Why isn't he here yet?” Cahir griped, slamming a book shut.“Maybe we haven’t been here for a full hour yet,” Coen offered, trying to be optimistic.“We’ve been here for almost two hours,” Conall corrected, his voice tight with worry. “He’s probably busy with something important. What do we do about this?”“I... I don't know,” Conall replied, running a hand through his hair.Coen, ever the strategist, spoke up, “Why don't we try looking for him? Or maybe anyone who can take us back to the North Palace?”“Alright,” Conn agreed after a moment's consideration. “You and Cahir should go. The rest of us will wait here. But don’t go too far, and if you don’t find him fast, come straight back.”“Is that a good idea? What if they get lost in the palace?” Connan fretted.“Fine,” Connal interj

"You cannot break me, Karl!" Lois muffled, her mouth gagged with his broad palm and her hair dragged from behind like a horse's tail.Like he was going to rip it all off her scalp, she couldn't breathe properly. His cock was too huge, reaching a halt inside her vagina, beating a wall that was about to be broken. It was painful, it was steady, it was hot and oddly felt good.He softened his thrusting pace and leaned his hugely built chest on her back, nibbling on the back of her neck, so hard trailing his tongue through the cord that leads to her spine, through her ass down to her vagina. Her whole body is distributing electric shock, making her heart thud, all down to you. She could not deny she wasn't having butterflies in her stomach; she wants to grab him and hug his broad body tightly. Her lips were so hungry for his tongue; she wanted to kiss and lick his soft lips, she wanted to touch that beard badly and run her hands through his blonde hair. But she is a slave; she dares not d

Lois was escorted to the North Palace and brought to its grand library. Her heart was pounding as she opened the large golden doors and saw Jacinta seated and reading softly to the children. The sextuplets’ heads were bent forward as they listened. The moment they saw her, they rose immediately.Lois dropped to her knees, gathering them into her arms, her lips covering their faces with kisses. Her heart thundered in her chest, and her hands trembled. She began to sob.Jacinta understood her heartbreak and, for once, didn’t stop her. For the first time in three weeks, she allowed Lois a long and emotional reunion.“I’m so glad you’re here,” Jacinta said softly, her own voice shaking with emotion.Lois finally let go. Her eyes fell on the children’s outfits—beautiful, costly silk embroidered with the royal crest. Their hair had been styled into curls, their feet slipped into leather slippers, and their postures were upright.Conall reached for her face and touched her cheek gently. “Wh

Alpha Karl and his personal guard, Wolfe, arrived at one of the residences on the north side of the palace. The estate was vast and sophisticated, divided into quarters for royal families and another for the palace workers. This particular castle had only recently been remodeled—lavish, modern, and majestic. It had originally been built for Great Hale’s Royal Heir, but Alpha Karl had ordered that the sextuplets be brought here. Ten rooms had been prepared for them, spacious and gilded. The castle’s exterior gleamed under the pale light, walls carved from pure white stone, etched with delicate patterns and crowned with intricate decorations. The sight tugged at Karl’s chest, drawing out memories of Aloe—memories he both despised and cherished.Guards stood firmly at their posts outside, motionless as statues. Karl entered the castle, his heavy steps echoing against marble floors. The opulence that greeted him was fit for kings—chandeliers of crystal hanging high, their light scattering
