Axis pov

Axis ran his hands through his black and red streaked hair and glanced across the landscape with his single good eye. Being a nine-foot-tall Scottish unseelie fairy made venturing into the human realm a tedious chore. He would have refused but his best friend Keran, the unseelie king had asked him for the favor of collecting wildflowers from the American state of Montana. Why he wanted them he didn't know, nor had he asked. He had used his glamor to change his height to a more realistic six and a half feet, his hair to a deep auburn, and his one eye a shade of green. He kept his eyepatch, liking the way it made him look like the hardened warrior he was. He realized he had appeared in the middle of a cattle field. He scowled at the skittish beasts.
