LOGINSienna's POV
"You cannot be serious" I chuckled shaking my head. Why would he even think of this? "I wish I wasn't" He murmured, his eyes watching me like I was some kind of entertainment and it didn't look like the good type. "Why will you even suggest this? You don't know me and I definitely don't know you, this is totally absurd" I exclaimed folding my arms across my chest as I spoke. " You are yet to state the actual problem here," He said smugly leaning further into the couch. "Really, that is not a problem to you?" I questioned. "Of course not, people who don't know themselves date all the time" "That's totally different from what you are suggesting" I exclaimed throwing my hands at his outrageous suggestion. "How so?" He asked staring at me like some child just trying to throw a tantrum. "You said it is going to be fake right, nothing attached?" I confirmed. "Yes, why? You want something more?" He taunted making me roll my eyes. "You wish" I snickered, although sadly a part of me didn't mind it. "Exactly my point" He piped up at my little response. "Your point?" I repeated confused. "Yes, you are not stating what the exact problem is" "Okay then, please enlighten me, what do you think the problem is?" I asked watching him as he adjusted himself on the sofa. "I don't think. I actually know what the problem is and on a normal day I would have found it quite demeaning but since it is coming from you I am pretty much less concerned" He responded. "You sound really sure, mind telling me what it is" I probed further. "We both know what it is already" He leaned back, crossing his arm across his chest before continuing, "I have always known you to be a lady who loves a good life" I know better than to assume he just complimented me. "You know the type that prefers men who love to flaunt their money at every given opportunity, grant your every desire, support your excesses" "Excuse me?" I snapped offended, I just knew it was no compliment. "Why would you even say that? You barely know me and yet you are already making such assumptions about me" I yelled. "Well I am not wrong, why else are you so opposed to the idea of dating me" He defended. "Fake Dating you mean" "That's not the point and you know it" He shot back. "It is" I pointed out but the look in his eyes told me exactly what he was thinking. "You really think my hesitation is because of you, don't you?" "Of course, it is not like I am asking you to even marry me, just act like we are in a relationship for some time and then you could just pop up one day and act like we have broken up" He shrugged casually. "Look at the good side, your mother won't try to hook you up with men" He added the tone in his voice giving me a very bad feeling about this. "You don't think my mother was the one who arranged this?" I asked already having the answer to my question. "I never said that" He shrugged but it was very much obvious. "I just find it really coincidental that you just had to be the woman of the night, knowing fully well the man you claim is now your ex-one who worked for me, or don't you think so?"He taunted. He was trying to get a reaction out of me and it is working so well. "Or perhaps you were expecting someone more influential and you met me and now you can't wait to bolt out of here and forget this night ever happened" He continued smirking at me. He isn't even making any sense right now and I doubt he knows it. "You know what fine, I will do it but we will do it on my terms" I snapped determined to prove his sorry ass wrong. His eyes darkened as he stared at me like I just proposed a challenge to him. "Your terms?" He chuckled. "And what are they?" "They are more like rules and we would have to sign a contract to bind it," I said. "I am a businessman, Sienna, I don't do business without putting it down on paper for documentation"He responded offended. "Just to be sure, we are on the same page" I nodded. "This should be the part where I call in my secretary to take down all you all about to say but this has to be confidential, only the both of us must know about it, so I guess I will draft out the contract myself," He said, standing up and walking towards the mahogany table at the end of the room. "Only the both of us?". There is no way I can keep this from Lila she would know something is wrong. "You have a problem with keeping your mouth shut, birdie?". His shoulders flexed as he reached for a stack of papers on the shelf. "Don't call me that and No I don't, I just thought I could tell at least one person I trust about it" I answered rolling my eyes at the name he used. "Who may that be? Damon, I presume" "Rule one Mr. Julian Thorne, No talking about my ex EVER" I spat getting agitated over his attitude. "I don't know what he may have done to you and honestly I don't care but I suggest you sort whatever it is out with him and stop acting like I am here because of him. No matter what happens do not mention his name for any reason, are we clear?" I added making sure my voice gave off how serious I was. He muttered under his breath before speaking up, "Clear" "Better" "Since you are so eager to start stating your rules, might as well finish what you have already started, because I would like to state my rules too" "Your rules?" "Yes Blake, aren't we stating our rules and what we can work it?" He asked, his tone indicating his question was a rhetorical one. First Birdie and now using my last name with so much authority, this man has got to be kidding me. I am yet to fully agree to this arrangement and I already feel like it is going to be a very horrible idea. "You know what, Fine" I breathed. This may be a horrible idea but it will mean no more random dates for the next few months and that is a lot to me.Julian's POVI had spent the last six hours convincing myself this was a terrible idea.Unfortunately for me, my feet had apparently made their own decision that even our damn rules couldn't stop me.Because standing in front of Sienna Blake's house at fucking four in the morning with absolutely no explanation for being here is probably the stupidest thing I had ever done."Julian?" Sienna whispered, her eyes shining wide with shock as she stared me down, but I also didn't miss the way her heart was beating so fast and her left hand tucked behind her back like she was hiding a weapon."If someone was actually here to attack you, this would have been your plan?" I couldn't help myself as I chuckled at the mere thought of her attacking someone."Are you fucking crazy?" she screeched, totally ignoring my attempt at making her laugh."Honestly, I think I am.""What the fuck do you even mean by that?" she exclaimed, staring at me like I had actually lost it."Can I at least come in before
Sienna's POVI take back my words, I fucking care. What the hell was I thinking? It is barely 2 in the morning and I can't get the image of Izzy and Julian out of my head. To worsen matters, he actually didn't try calling or texting, he just went completely silent like nothing happened. So funny how he chooses now to respect my wishes, stupid, stupid Julian. No Lila and now no Julian Thorne to get on my nerves and help me get my mind off not having Lila in my life for days now. What if he is back in bed with Izzy...like nothing ever even happened. After all, I did tell him to do whatever he wanted."No Sienna, this isn't you. You don't care, he can do whatever the fuck he wants to," I chanted to myself as I pushed myself up from my bed. I better get my mind busy as sleep has decided to be far from me.The fact that Grandma had, for some reason, decided to go on an impromptu trip and Brittany has an extra week to stay with me is sadly a part of my sleeplessness...as much as I don't wan
Sienna's POVFucking, fucking asshole....that is all Julian Thorne is and that is all he will ever be. How the fuck did I ever dream of being with him back then?I defend him and he just sits there and watches them talk trash about me....he is so going to regret all this mixed signals he is giving me."Miss Sienna." A knock on my office door interrupted my murderous thoughts."Yes Leah," I answered, already recognizing her voice before even seeing her face."Mr. Thorne wants to see you in his office now," she informed, her face telling me that she suspected something but couldn't ask about it and honestly I prefer it that way."Like right now?""Yes please," she beamed, always so happy."Okay, I am right behind you."She nodded, shutting the door back, leaving me to my thoughts once again. What audacity Julian has, he sends for me right after the stunt he pulls? He is so going to get it hot from me.I pushed myself up angrily from my seat, heading to the door with only one thought in
Julian's POVThe pain in Sienna's eyes did things I couldn't explain to myself, I don't know if it is just pure guilt of not returning the favour after she defended me or something else but whatever it is, I don't like it one bit."If that will be all, I would like to take my leave now," I said, keeping my voice blank as I avoided Sienna's accusing eyes. She didn't move an inch throughout everything even though I saw how much she wanted to, I could see how badly she was affected by the words of everyone and wanted to leave, even worse the fact I said nothing about it but she still didn't leave...she still defended me when she didn't see the need to and ignored everyone when she felt like it too but by the time everyone had said their minds we obviously had them stunned and speechless, they had nothing to fight with anymore."We will be in touch, Mr. Thorne." Marcus pushed up from his seat, his eyes holding so much disgust and anger as he eyed Sienna but she took no heed to him, still
Sienna's POV"Okay, but why weren't these questions asked during the meeting?" Julian asked, keeping his tone balanced to hide his discomfort with the situation but somehow I have come to know his little coping mechanisms, like the way he taps his fingers against his legs when he wants to maintain his composure, just like he is doing now.No one bothered to answer him, it was like his question didn't matter. They were going to go on with whatever they wanted to do whether Julian liked it or not...and from my current observations Julian is very uncomfortable with this situation."Also, the woman can leave, we only want to speak with you." The pot-bellied man from my left spoke up, eyeing me like I was beneath him and shouldn't even be found in the same room as him. It took everything in me not to give him a response he would never forget. My eyes moved to Julian, silently waiting to see what he would do, we may not be in love but he should definitely respect me."The lady stays, if you
Julian's POVI woke up with the craziest headache and I can't even pinpoint the exact cause, if it is work or the hassle of this whole fake dating or most likely the crazy stunt Izzy pulled last night.I can still feel her lips against mine and trust me, not in a good way, it was like something in our friendship cracked that moment and Izzy felt it too. She pulled away the moment she did it, like she also realized her mistake but it was too late...she has crossed the line. She left really early this morning, totally forgetting about our talk and I was still too stunned by last night's events to have tried stopping her or speaking to her."Sir, your 10 o'clock is here." Leah's voice broke my train of thought.I slowly glanced up to look at her, trying to remember when exactly she had walked in. "Sorry sir, I knocked several times but you didn't respond," she quickly said before I could even ask her anything."How long have you been standing here?" I questioned, pushing myself up on my
