Sienna's POV

"You cannot be serious" I chuckled shaking my head. Why would he even think of this?

"I wish I wasn't" He murmured, his eyes watching me like I was some kind of entertainment and it didn't look like the good type.

"Why will you even suggest this? You don't know me and I definitely don't know you, this is totally absurd" I exclaimed folding my arms across my chest as I spoke.

" You are yet to state the actual problem here," He said smugly leaning further into the couch.

"Really, that is not a problem to you?" I questioned.

"Of course not, people who don't know themselves date all the time"

"That's totally different from what you are suggesting" I exclaimed throwing my hands at his outrageous suggestion.

"How so?" He asked staring at me like some child just trying to throw a tantrum.

"You said it is going to be fake right, nothing attached?" I confirmed.

"Yes, why? You want something more?" He taunted making me roll my eyes.

"You wish" I snickered, although sadly a part of me didn't mind it.

"Exactly my point" He piped up at my little response.

"Your point?" I repeated confused.

"Yes, you are not stating what the exact problem is"

"Okay then, please enlighten me, what do you think the problem is?" I asked watching him as he adjusted himself on the sofa.

"I don't think. I actually know what the problem is and on a normal day I would have found it quite demeaning but since it is coming from you I am pretty much less concerned" He responded.

"You sound really sure, mind telling me what it is" I probed further.

"We both know what it is already"

He leaned back, crossing his arm across his chest before continuing,

"I have always known you to be a lady who loves a good life" I know better than to assume he just complimented me.

"You know the type that prefers men who love to flaunt their money at every given opportunity, grant your every desire, support your excesses"

"Excuse me?" I snapped offended, I just knew it was no compliment.

"Why would you even say that? You barely know me and yet you are already making such assumptions about me" I yelled.

"Well I am not wrong, why else are you so opposed to the idea of dating me" He defended.

"Fake Dating you mean"

"That's not the point and you know it" He shot back.

"It is" I pointed out but the look in his eyes told me exactly what he was thinking.

"You really think my hesitation is because of you, don't you?"

"Of course, it is not like I am asking you to even marry me, just act like we are in a relationship for some time and then you could just pop up one day and act like we have broken up" He shrugged casually.

"Look at the good side, your mother won't try to hook you up with men" He added the tone in his voice giving me a very bad feeling about this.

"You don't think my mother was the one who arranged this?" I asked already having the answer to my question.

"I never said that" He shrugged but it was very much obvious.

"I just find it really coincidental that you just had to be the woman of the night, knowing fully well the man you claim is now your ex-one who worked for me, or don't you think so?"He taunted. He was trying to get a reaction out of me and it is working so well.

"Or perhaps you were expecting someone more influential and you met me and now you can't wait to bolt out of here and forget this night ever happened" He continued smirking at me. He isn't even making any sense right now and I doubt he knows it.

"You know what fine, I will do it but we will do it on my terms" I snapped determined to prove his sorry ass wrong.

His eyes darkened as he stared at me like I just proposed a challenge to him.

"Your terms?" He chuckled.

"And what are they?"

"They are more like rules and we would have to sign a contract to bind it," I said.

"I am a businessman, Sienna, I don't do business without putting it down on paper for documentation"He responded offended.

"Just to be sure, we are on the same page" I nodded.

"This should be the part where I call in my secretary to take down all you all about to say but this has to be confidential, only the both of us must know about it, so I guess I will draft out the contract myself," He said, standing up and walking towards the mahogany table at the end of the room.

"Only the both of us?". There is no way I can keep this from Lila she would know something is wrong.

"You have a problem with keeping your mouth shut, birdie?". His shoulders flexed as he reached for a stack of papers on the shelf.

"Don't call me that and No I don't, I just thought I could tell at least one person I trust about it" I answered rolling my eyes at the name he used.

"Who may that be? Damon, I presume"

"Rule one Mr. Julian Thorne, No talking about my ex EVER" I spat getting agitated over his attitude.

"I don't know what he may have done to you and honestly I don't care but I suggest you sort whatever it is out with him and stop acting like I am here because of him. No matter what happens do not mention his name for any reason, are we clear?" I added making sure my voice gave off how serious I was.

He muttered under his breath before speaking up, "Clear"

"Better"

"Since you are so eager to start stating your rules, might as well finish what you have already started, because I would like to state my rules too"

"Your rules?"

"Yes Blake, aren't we stating our rules and what we can work it?" He asked, his tone indicating his question was a rhetorical one. First Birdie and now using my last name with so much authority, this man has got to be kidding me. I am yet to fully agree to this arrangement and I already feel like it is going to be a very horrible idea.

"You know what, Fine" I breathed. This may be a horrible idea but it will mean no more random dates for the next few months and that is a lot to me.

Sienna's POV"Welcome back, Miss Blake. Welcome back, Mr. Thorne," Julian's driver said as he opened the door for us, while two other men loaded our bags into the trunk of the car."Thank you," I beamed, but Julian just nodded, his face blank. He had been this way all morning; he had only said a few words to me, and that was because of my panic. He had suggested we drive back, but that would have meant long hours on the road, so I pushed until he agreed to us taking a plane back.He stayed by my side throughout, ensuring I felt safe. I had lost it, but not as much as I would have if he wasn't there. He held my hands, singing to me like he had done before, but this time I was more aware of what was happening. Although, with how things are going, I doubt he would ever want me to mention it.My phone buzzed in my purse, snapping me back to reality. Lila's picture popped up on my screen, making me smile."Hey," I greeted softly as I picked up."My girl is back!" she squealed excitedly. My

  • Fake Dating My Ex’s Boss   Thirty four

Julian’s POV “We can stop if you really don’t want to talk about it,” she said softly, sitting up a little.I hated talking about Ethan, but not as much as I hate talking about our father.“It’s fine; you asked about Ethan and I, I can manage that.” I breathed, moving my eyes back to the city below us. Sienna’s deep gaze remained fixed on me like she was trying to see through me.“Our father... let’s just say he was one messed up man.” I continued, that day replaying in my head like it was yesterday.“He had the money to send us both to college without even blinking; he didn’t need any scholarship to assist, but no, he just decided not to. Even when Ethan and I got our scholarships, he blatantly refused to cover up the rest of Ethan’s bill the scholarship couldn’t cover. He outright asked Ethan to fight me for my spot, and Ethan did. Ethan was our dad’s favorite despite everything, so he believed our father would give in and just help Ethan at some point, but oh boy was I wrong.

Julian’s POVFlashback (15 years ago)“You have to back out, Julian. That scholarship spot is mine,” Ethan sneered as he walked into my room, headphones around his neck, hands in his pockets, like he simply came to borrow something and not ask me to forfeit the one thing that might be my only chance at a better life.“If you didn't come here to say anything reasonable, you might as well leave,” I said calmly, not even looking up from the book I was reading."This doesn't sound serious to you?" “If it did, you would know.”“You better not test me, dear brother, or things will get really ugly,” he threatened. His voice was serious, but this time, I didn’t care. I couldn’t afford to care, not when my whole future depended on this.“Do your worst, Ethan.”He really did his worst... he got me out of the house earlier than I planned, which would have left me homeless if not for Aunt Margot.*** End of Flashback ***“Would you like me to get you anything, Sir?” the housekeeper ask

Sienna's POVJulian's body went rigid against mine, his face morphing into one of sheer anger."Sienna, let's go," Julian instructed, grabbing my hand, not too tight, but I could feel his urgency."Come on, why are you in a hurry, dear brother?"Brother? He has a brother?I pulled back to carefully access his face; his eyes were already on me."I will explain later," he whispered, already knowing what I was thinking."Sienna, right?" Julian's brother spoke up, walking closer to where Julian and I stood. Julian quickly pushed me behind him protectively."Watch it, Ethan," Julian spat pure anger and hatred in his voice. That got me confused. How are they brothers yet acting like sworn enemies? What could have happened between them?"Or what? Too scared she might want me instead?" Ethan taunted, his words shocking me.Is this why Julian didn't want me to come? He was scared I would want his brother? How stupid... I am not even his in the first place."I am not scared of anything," Julia

Julian’s POV "If you actually want this meeting to hold I advice you don't use that term again" I warned trying to contain the anger that was brewing in my heart."Come on,don't be like that. We are brothers aren't we?" Ethan chuckled walking closer to me,a mischievous hlint in his eyes that fueled my anger even more. I should have declined this meeting or even sent someone in my place."Why did you insist we meet here,Ethan?" He chuckled, making himself comfortable on the chair in front of his desk.“We have business to discuss, Julian. Have you forgotten?”“Business that couldn’t be discussed over the phone? I am a busy man. I don't have time for your silly games,” I kept my voice blank as I spoke. There is no need to let him get what he wants.“I see you have a new plaything.” The excitement in his voice made me very uncomfortable.“Is that the business you want to discuss? I don’t see how my personal life is any of your business."Ethan has a very bad history when it comes t

Sienna's POV I watched the roads pass by, the city lights illuminating the beautiful city. A car had arrived in no less than fifteen minutes after I had called Leah and now we were on our way to wherever Julian was.Something in me kept pulling at me trying to tell me that this was a bad idea but I have already come this far might as well complete the journey plus pissing Julian off is so much fun."We have arrived, Miss Blake"The driver informed as the car slowed down coming to an abrupt stop. A large building stood beautifully at the side of the road, it was entirely made of glass which made it stand out amongst the other large buildings here. Of course Julian would have his meetings in places that scream money, I doubt he knows what the world simply even means."Thank you" I appreciated as I stepped forward from the car bracing myself as I took in the large building in front of me.How the hell am I supposed to find Julian here?I straightened the creases that had formed on my d
