LOGINSienna's POV
"You cannot be serious" I chuckled shaking my head. Why would he even think of this? "I wish I wasn't" He murmured, his eyes watching me like I was some kind of entertainment and it didn't look like the good type. "Why will you even suggest this? You don't know me and I definitely don't know you, this is totally absurd" I exclaimed folding my arms across my chest as I spoke. " You are yet to state the actual problem here," He said smugly leaning further into the couch. "Really, that is not a problem to you?" I questioned. "Of course not, people who don't know themselves date all the time" "That's totally different from what you are suggesting" I exclaimed throwing my hands at his outrageous suggestion. "How so?" He asked staring at me like some child just trying to throw a tantrum. "You said it is going to be fake right, nothing attached?" I confirmed. "Yes, why? You want something more?" He taunted making me roll my eyes. "You wish" I snickered, although sadly a part of me didn't mind it. "Exactly my point" He piped up at my little response. "Your point?" I repeated confused. "Yes, you are not stating what the exact problem is" "Okay then, please enlighten me, what do you think the problem is?" I asked watching him as he adjusted himself on the sofa. "I don't think. I actually know what the problem is and on a normal day I would have found it quite demeaning but since it is coming from you I am pretty much less concerned" He responded. "You sound really sure, mind telling me what it is" I probed further. "We both know what it is already" He leaned back, crossing his arm across his chest before continuing, "I have always known you to be a lady who loves a good life" I know better than to assume he just complimented me. "You know the type that prefers men who love to flaunt their money at every given opportunity, grant your every desire, support your excesses" "Excuse me?" I snapped offended, I just knew it was no compliment. "Why would you even say that? You barely know me and yet you are already making such assumptions about me" I yelled. "Well I am not wrong, why else are you so opposed to the idea of dating me" He defended. "Fake Dating you mean" "That's not the point and you know it" He shot back. "It is" I pointed out but the look in his eyes told me exactly what he was thinking. "You really think my hesitation is because of you, don't you?" "Of course, it is not like I am asking you to even marry me, just act like we are in a relationship for some time and then you could just pop up one day and act like we have broken up" He shrugged casually. "Look at the good side, your mother won't try to hook you up with men" He added the tone in his voice giving me a very bad feeling about this. "You don't think my mother was the one who arranged this?" I asked already having the answer to my question. "I never said that" He shrugged but it was very much obvious. "I just find it really coincidental that you just had to be the woman of the night, knowing fully well the man you claim is now your ex-one who worked for me, or don't you think so?"He taunted. He was trying to get a reaction out of me and it is working so well. "Or perhaps you were expecting someone more influential and you met me and now you can't wait to bolt out of here and forget this night ever happened" He continued smirking at me. He isn't even making any sense right now and I doubt he knows it. "You know what fine, I will do it but we will do it on my terms" I snapped determined to prove his sorry ass wrong. His eyes darkened as he stared at me like I just proposed a challenge to him. "Your terms?" He chuckled. "And what are they?" "They are more like rules and we would have to sign a contract to bind it," I said. "I am a businessman, Sienna, I don't do business without putting it down on paper for documentation"He responded offended. "Just to be sure, we are on the same page" I nodded. "This should be the part where I call in my secretary to take down all you all about to say but this has to be confidential, only the both of us must know about it, so I guess I will draft out the contract myself," He said, standing up and walking towards the mahogany table at the end of the room. "Only the both of us?". There is no way I can keep this from Lila she would know something is wrong. "You have a problem with keeping your mouth shut, birdie?". His shoulders flexed as he reached for a stack of papers on the shelf. "Don't call me that and No I don't, I just thought I could tell at least one person I trust about it" I answered rolling my eyes at the name he used. "Who may that be? Damon, I presume" "Rule one Mr. Julian Thorne, No talking about my ex EVER" I spat getting agitated over his attitude. "I don't know what he may have done to you and honestly I don't care but I suggest you sort whatever it is out with him and stop acting like I am here because of him. No matter what happens do not mention his name for any reason, are we clear?" I added making sure my voice gave off how serious I was. He muttered under his breath before speaking up, "Clear" "Better" "Since you are so eager to start stating your rules, might as well finish what you have already started, because I would like to state my rules too" "Your rules?" "Yes Blake, aren't we stating our rules and what we can work it?" He asked, his tone indicating his question was a rhetorical one. First Birdie and now using my last name with so much authority, this man has got to be kidding me. I am yet to fully agree to this arrangement and I already feel like it is going to be a very horrible idea. "You know what, Fine" I breathed. This may be a horrible idea but it will mean no more random dates for the next few months and that is a lot to me.Julian's POVI don't know how on earth someone has been leaking vital information about this company without anyone finding out, and from my findings, this has been happening right under my nose for over a year now, and I am just finding out. I am not sure how things got this far, but what I know is that I am so going to fucking kill somebody."We had a spy in the company that has been leaking vital company information to Ethan's company," the words sounded bitter to me, like I am in some kind of sick dream I can't seem to wake up from."What?...how come?" Sienna exclaimed, her eyes widening in shock.I don't know why, but a part of me felt it was okay to tell her, which doesn't make any sense to me when I couldn't even tell my most trusted employee, Leah...something about the way she watched me when she asked the question made me feel...safe?"I don't know, before I even got here this morning, I was already ambushed with mails and calls, and then I arrived at work to find out that mo
Julian's POV"Mags, I don't...." I tried to come up with a lie, but she wasn't having it."I am not asking, Julian, you can't be in a relationship with someone for how many months now and I have not met her, and what even makes it more absurd is the fact that I am the reason you both met and now you are hoarding her."Hoarding her? More like preventing a temporary person from coming close to my home and my life."It is not like that, Mags, Sienna is a really busy woman, it is even hard to get some time with her myself." I lied, keeping my face straight, but Mags' eyes told me she already knew exactly what I was trying to do.I guess lying to a woman who has known and taken care of you since diapers is a lot harder than it looks."You better not come home for dinner without her, Julian," she stated, not even leaving any room for negotiation. How the fuck do I get Sienna to come over for dinner without giving her the wrong signals....nice one, Mags. ****
Sienna's POVThe words from last night wouldn't stop haunting me, I can literally hear them in my head in a baritone voice of some unhinged killer...and the fact that I can't even think of who it is from makes it even scarier.I don't want to let my mind wander to who it might be....it won't end up well for me, I already know that."Bye, Mum," Brittany murmured, rushing out before I could even respond to her like she couldn't bear to spend another second in the same car with me.They say children easily forgive, but this feels so much more than a little childish grudge and I fear what this would mean for our relationship that is barely hanging by a thread. What makes this worse is the fact that none of the ways I have tried to work on my trauma worked. It's like I am losing grip of my child and I can only sit and watch....it feels like a different type of death that I can't even explain.****The company was eerily quiet today...it's not like it is always noisy or anything, but there
Julian's POVAnd once again... I fucked up.It's like I can't just do anything right for a complete day when it comes to her. I should really stop letting my anger control my actions or I will sabotage everything.I need to do this right... it is the only way to achieve my goal at the end of these six months."I am fine, Izzy, heading home now," I answered as I headed towards the elevator. It was already pitch black outside, just a few minutes over 9 p.m., and I finally decided to go home."By this time?" she screeched over the phone, her high-pitched voice spiking the dull ache in my head."Why are you sounding like you are not used to how I work anymore?" I spat, trying to cover up my irritation at her drama."I can never get used to it because I don't even understand why you do so in the first place. It makes no sense to me. You practically own the place and it is not like the company is still coming up from scratch that we can say probably needs close follow-up. Your company is li
Sienna's POV"Brittany, time for bed," I said as I walked into the living room where she sat watching cartoons."Please, Mum, just a few minutes more, the show is almost over," she pleaded, her eyes still glued to the screen."Bed, now.""Mum...""Now, Brittany," I snapped angrily. The last thing I need after the day I had is for her to throw a tantrum."You know, Mum, I can't believe I still have to spend an extra week with you. I wish Grandma would just come get me, I don't want to stay here anymore," she yelled, storming out of the sitting room angrily, leaving me to face the cold weight of her words. If I say that didn't hurt so much, then I am a very dirty liar because that felt like being stabbed over and over again by my child. My baby doesn't want to be with me.... I am now so bad that she can literally say it to my face how much she hates being near me. Why me? Why does it have to always be me? Haven't I suffered enough?I felt the wetness on my cheeks before I even realized
Sienna's POV'Hey, please I know I was a real bitch to you but please call me, I am miserable without you'My message sat read in Lila and I's chat. I had sent this message over an hour ago and she had read it almost immediately but she didn't say anything. Not even an attempt at typing and yes I have been watching it.A part of me is angry she just ghosted me this way and then the other part of me understands her anger. We never kept things to ourselves and now I am becoming an expert at it. I know I would have even reacted worse if it were me, I guess that is part of what makes it hurt more.I sighed for the umpteenth time this evening as I dropped my phone back on my desk. It is already 4:40pm and all I can think about is running home and crawling into my bed for the rest of the night...but no, I still have this fucked up dinner with Ethan and cancelling on him will warrant questions I don't even want to think of answering.I have got to have a change of shoes at least...two more h
