LOGINJulian's POV
" I am not doing it, Aunt Margot," I adamantly refused as we walked into my home, it was already a few minutes past 5pm, and all I can think about now is a shower, dinner, and sleep but my beloved godmother has decided to be a thorn in my flesh. For the past two weeks, she has been going on and on about this girl she wanted me to meet. She wouldn't stop singing her praises and comparing her to Izzy, which is part of the reason I do not want to agree to do this; she shouldn't be comparing Izzy to anyone. "I am not asking, Julian," She replied in a serious tone. Why wouldn't she just drop it? "You are trying to force a 32-year-old man to go on a date he isn't even interested in? A blind one at that," I stated, stopping in my tracks "Yes, that is exactly what I am doing, and he doesn't have an option," She responded with a knowing smile on her face, but her tone left no room for argument. "You are 32 already, Julian. If you don't want a wife, I want one for you, and this is your chance; you will never know if you don't try." "So you are trying to say that magically a lady you picked out yourself for me will turn out to be the wife I couldn't get for myself?" I questioned with raised eyebrows, I know she means well for me, but sometimes I really wish she would just stay out of my business. "You cannot know till you try," she shrugged. "And if I don't like her and she isn't even my type in any way?" I asked. "Would definitely be better than Izzy," She muttered under her breath. "Aunt Margot," I called out, not so shocked. She has never liked Isadora from the first day we became friends in preschool. She always refers to her as her father's spoiled princess, which I do not agree with. Isadora has her flaws, but that doesn't make her a bad person. "First of all, we both know Izzy and I do not have a romantic relationship; we are just friends, really close friends." ''Tell that to her," Mags muttered, making me roll my eyes. "Secondly, I will really appreciate it if you stop comparing Izzy with a woman we both don't know," I added. "You mean a woman you don't know cause I have known Sienna since she was just a child although she isn't really familiar with me but her Mum is my really close friend" She responded, the name hitting hard as I remembered the last woman I had met that had that name, Sienna Blake. Gold-digging girlfriend of Damon Cross, the only man who had ever stolen from me and almost got away with it. He was lucky, he only got house arrest, a compulsory mandate to pay back all he had previously taken with interest, and a restraining order; it could have been worse. She was always clinging to him like a second skin, fawning over everything he did like he was so amazing; she was probably the one who pushed him into stealing from me just to support her lifestyle. "And with everything I know about her, she is going to be a perfect match for you," She added, smiling from ear to ear. "But..." I wanted to oppose, but she caught me off immediately. "Before you try to decline once again, I am willing to give you details about her and then maybe a picture if that will make things better." She asked, already pulling her phone out from her purse. "It is supposed to be a blind date," I stated, which I am sure she knew already. "I know, but a picture and a few necessary details about her will not change much; it would even help you tonight when you meet her." "Tonight?" I repeated. "Oh yes, it's tonight and you only have two hours to get ready," She responded, laughing lightly. "I am not going on a date with a woman I don't know and with no time to even get ready," I refused. "I am sure you don't mean that," She clicked, walking past, swinging her purse. "I will be in my room, let me know before you leave, okay, and you better not keep the young lady waiting' She said in a sing-song voice as she got to the stairs, the amusement in her voice infuriating. She knew deep down I couldn't deny her request, no matter how badly I wanted to, and she has always used her hold over me to her advantage. Margot Lane has been the only mother figure I have had for over twenty years now, since she left, and the only parent I have ever considered since I turned 18 and disowned the man I once called father. "So much for a shower, dinner, and a good night's rest," I muttered under my breath, already texting my secretary to reschedule all my meetings before 9am tomorrow, I would have to sleep in. ~~~~ ' Venue: I chose your restaurant at the heart of the city, just so you will be more comfortable, and luckily it is not so far away from her house in case you decide to drop her off Time: 7pm This is all the information you need to know about her, Name: Sienna Elise Blake Age: 27 Occupation: Marketing executive at Oaklyn Marketing Group (OMG) Here is her picture just as promised. P.S.: Her mother said she hates to wait, so please be there on time. She might have a little attitude, but she will loosen up with time; she just needs to get comfortable. She doesn't handle strangers well, especially men. Also, her mother said she doesn't know your name, so do well to introduce yourself properly.' Mag's message read, but my eyes stopped at her name, reading it over and over again, it can't be just a coincidence, right? I quickly tapped on the picture, the face staring back at me confirming my suspicions. Damon couldn't get to me himself, and now he wants to use his girlfriend; this time, I wouldn't let him get away so easily. He will fully understand how I was able to build myself to this point without even one scandal of corruption or anything illegal. I will not fall prey to his schemes a second time, and for bringing Aunt Mag into this, they will have to pay dearly for it. My dear Aunt Mag has no idea what she has just done. Sienna is going to regret ever agreeing to any of this once I am done with her; she wants money, I would give her even more. A taste of the life she can only have in her dreams, and take it away immediately, I get her exactly where I want her. "Sienna Blake, hope you are prepared because I am about to take you for a long ride," I muttered to myself, smirking as I started my car heading for the restaurant.Julian's POVI had spent the last six hours convincing myself this was a terrible idea.Unfortunately for me, my feet had apparently made their own decision that even our damn rules couldn't stop me.Because standing in front of Sienna Blake's house at fucking four in the morning with absolutely no explanation for being here is probably the stupidest thing I had ever done."Julian?" Sienna whispered, her eyes shining wide with shock as she stared me down, but I also didn't miss the way her heart was beating so fast and her left hand tucked behind her back like she was hiding a weapon."If someone was actually here to attack you, this would have been your plan?" I couldn't help myself as I chuckled at the mere thought of her attacking someone."Are you fucking crazy?" she screeched, totally ignoring my attempt at making her laugh."Honestly, I think I am.""What the fuck do you even mean by that?" she exclaimed, staring at me like I had actually lost it."Can I at least come in before
Sienna's POVI take back my words, I fucking care. What the hell was I thinking? It is barely 2 in the morning and I can't get the image of Izzy and Julian out of my head. To worsen matters, he actually didn't try calling or texting, he just went completely silent like nothing happened. So funny how he chooses now to respect my wishes, stupid, stupid Julian. No Lila and now no Julian Thorne to get on my nerves and help me get my mind off not having Lila in my life for days now. What if he is back in bed with Izzy...like nothing ever even happened. After all, I did tell him to do whatever he wanted."No Sienna, this isn't you. You don't care, he can do whatever the fuck he wants to," I chanted to myself as I pushed myself up from my bed. I better get my mind busy as sleep has decided to be far from me.The fact that Grandma had, for some reason, decided to go on an impromptu trip and Brittany has an extra week to stay with me is sadly a part of my sleeplessness...as much as I don't wan
Sienna's POVFucking, fucking asshole....that is all Julian Thorne is and that is all he will ever be. How the fuck did I ever dream of being with him back then?I defend him and he just sits there and watches them talk trash about me....he is so going to regret all this mixed signals he is giving me."Miss Sienna." A knock on my office door interrupted my murderous thoughts."Yes Leah," I answered, already recognizing her voice before even seeing her face."Mr. Thorne wants to see you in his office now," she informed, her face telling me that she suspected something but couldn't ask about it and honestly I prefer it that way."Like right now?""Yes please," she beamed, always so happy."Okay, I am right behind you."She nodded, shutting the door back, leaving me to my thoughts once again. What audacity Julian has, he sends for me right after the stunt he pulls? He is so going to get it hot from me.I pushed myself up angrily from my seat, heading to the door with only one thought in
Julian's POVThe pain in Sienna's eyes did things I couldn't explain to myself, I don't know if it is just pure guilt of not returning the favour after she defended me or something else but whatever it is, I don't like it one bit."If that will be all, I would like to take my leave now," I said, keeping my voice blank as I avoided Sienna's accusing eyes. She didn't move an inch throughout everything even though I saw how much she wanted to, I could see how badly she was affected by the words of everyone and wanted to leave, even worse the fact I said nothing about it but she still didn't leave...she still defended me when she didn't see the need to and ignored everyone when she felt like it too but by the time everyone had said their minds we obviously had them stunned and speechless, they had nothing to fight with anymore."We will be in touch, Mr. Thorne." Marcus pushed up from his seat, his eyes holding so much disgust and anger as he eyed Sienna but she took no heed to him, still
Sienna's POV"Okay, but why weren't these questions asked during the meeting?" Julian asked, keeping his tone balanced to hide his discomfort with the situation but somehow I have come to know his little coping mechanisms, like the way he taps his fingers against his legs when he wants to maintain his composure, just like he is doing now.No one bothered to answer him, it was like his question didn't matter. They were going to go on with whatever they wanted to do whether Julian liked it or not...and from my current observations Julian is very uncomfortable with this situation."Also, the woman can leave, we only want to speak with you." The pot-bellied man from my left spoke up, eyeing me like I was beneath him and shouldn't even be found in the same room as him. It took everything in me not to give him a response he would never forget. My eyes moved to Julian, silently waiting to see what he would do, we may not be in love but he should definitely respect me."The lady stays, if you
Julian's POVI woke up with the craziest headache and I can't even pinpoint the exact cause, if it is work or the hassle of this whole fake dating or most likely the crazy stunt Izzy pulled last night.I can still feel her lips against mine and trust me, not in a good way, it was like something in our friendship cracked that moment and Izzy felt it too. She pulled away the moment she did it, like she also realized her mistake but it was too late...she has crossed the line. She left really early this morning, totally forgetting about our talk and I was still too stunned by last night's events to have tried stopping her or speaking to her."Sir, your 10 o'clock is here." Leah's voice broke my train of thought.I slowly glanced up to look at her, trying to remember when exactly she had walked in. "Sorry sir, I knocked several times but you didn't respond," she quickly said before I could even ask her anything."How long have you been standing here?" I questioned, pushing myself up on my
