There are so many strange eyes flashing red in the darkness, but only one catches my attention. A pair of yellow eyes.

My mother's scream cuts through the night, sharp, terrible and wrong. I'm ten years old again, hiding in the closet, watching through the crack in the door as wolves circle my parents.
