LENNY'S POV

The small lamp on my desk flickered, casting long shadows against the walls. My heart wasn’t just beating; it was thundering. It felt like it was trying to break through my ribs.

Marcus sat in my chair, his large frame looking out of place in the small dorm room. He held the small, black bag I had hidden carefully. Between his thick fingers was the silver master key. The key that was supposed to be my secret.

"Where did you get that?" I whispered, my voice barely made it out.
