Glinda POV

“K-kaivrian?” I asked, still unable to believe that he was truly there. Kaivrian was the definition of handsome, a guy I once thought was created by the goddess herself.

He had jet black curly hair that framed his face perfectly, a chiseled chin, perfectly pointed nose, a lip so perfect on his face, and then his eyes…his unique red eyes, deep and dangerous, like a secret you shouldn’t want to uncover but can’t resist chasing anyway.

“You just confessed your love for my brother, yet you can't take your eyes off me huh?” He teased, though his voice was slightly cold, just as it had been years ago.

However, there was something different about the way he was looking at me at that moment. There was something in his eyes. Lust? Hunger? I honestly couldn't tell.

My face burned red as I blinked and moved back. “I-i'm sor..

“Hush.” He placed his finger on my lips and goodness, my body reacted to such a small gesture. “I liked it.”

“Huh.”

“I enjoyed the kiss, Glinda, so don't apologize.” He voiced, tone barely above a whisper as he looked straight into my eyes with a gaze that burned.

But, as if he suddenly realized what he was doing, he took several steps back, studied me with burning intensity for a long while then walked away as if nothing happened.

As for me I stood there, still too stunned to move. Kaivrian just kissed me and he said he liked it!

Had I teleported to the wrong dimension?

Because that would be the only logical reason why the son who hated my very existence since the day I was brought to his house would say he enjoyed the kiss.

After standing there in awe for a while, I decided to go back to class after hearing the bell ring, indicating that the first period that I had just missed was over.

I wasn't too surprised when I got downstairs and discovered that the entire school had gathered around Kaivrian, happily welcoming him back to school…he used to be the entire school’s crush before he left and Ethan took over.

The girls were fawning, some trying to expose their boobs to him, others pressing their bodies against him in a seductive manner while he tried to avoid them all, he looked deeply irritated.

I almost laughed because I found it cute.

Ethan enjoyed the attention but Kaivrian had always despised it. One time a rumor even went out that he was gay and didn't find women attractive.

Anyways, I decided to use that distraction to walk away. I could slip into the class without anyone noticing me thanks to Kiavrian.

“Kaivrian, do you have a girlfriend now?” A girl asked and I stopped in my tracks.

For some reason, I found the question interesting and wanted to know too.

Kaivrian scoffed in irritation at her question and I knew that he was minutes away from strangling her and using her as a scapegoat to warn the others that he had not changed, that he was still as beastly as he was years ago.

Yes yes, I knew a lot about Kaivrian as much as I knew Ethan. I practically grew up with them.

I was right because Kaivrian’s hand shot out as he tried to grab her neck, but then, as if something told him I was there, he turned to face me, and our eyes locked.

“Yes, I have a girlfriend.” He suddenly said, after a while of intensely staring at me.

“Oh my goodness!”

“Really?!”

“Who is she?!”

“Is it Cressida?!”

His eyes flickered to the girls in front of him for only a second then back to me. “Instead of telling you, why don't I show you?” Saying this, he took a step towards me.

The crowd quieted as they watched him walk towards me.

At this point, my heart was racing like a galloping horse as I moved back until my back hit the locker behind me. “Hey sweetheart, why don't we make it official in front of everyone?” Kaivrian said the moment he came to me and the entire hall erupted in chaos as murmurs and shocked gasps filled the air.

“What are you doing?!” I whisper yelled, eyes wide as saucers as I looked up at him.

He cupped my chin. “Come on love, don't be shy. Didn't we just kiss?”

“Yes we did but…” More gasp reverberated through the hall, immediately interrupting me from speaking further.

I gasped for the hundredth time that day and almost choked on my spit when Kaivrian leaned in and kissed me. He kissed me in front of everyone!

“Save the long talks, princess. It's already official. The school has to know that it's my brother you love but I'm the one who stole your heart.” He said as he pulled out from the kiss that left my mouth open.

He slowly leaned in again and kissed my forehead, his lips pressing over my head longer than he should have. He tucked a strand of hair behind my ear, and then continued, “See you later princess. Got some school paperwork to fill.”

He winked at me then walked away from me, leaving me in shock and with ears and cheeks that burned so red.

“Glinda, is it true?” A girl's voice came, pulling me out of my trance. I tried to move back, totally forgetting that I was already glued to the locker.

Too many eyes were on me as more students started throwing questions at me, making me nervous.

“How did you get Kaivrian to fall in love with you?!”

“I thought he hated you?!”

“Did you seduce him?!”

“How does his lip taste?!”

“I-i…” I tried to speak, but my words failed me as I felt overwhelmed.  I couldn't stay there anymore so I pushed myself through the crowd and ran away for my life.

For the rest of the day, I didn't step out of the abandoned classroom where I was hiding as I was too nervous to go out.

In less than a few hours, I confessed to the love of my life, got rejected, kissed his brother, and apparently started dating him.

I used to be the ghost of the entire school, the omega no one wanted to associate with, the nerd with serious social anxiety, and now I have become popular.

My phone was blowing up in my pocket as the school’s group chat blasted with messages that I had to turn it off…for the first time in years, my name was mentioned there and I became the most trending topic.

I don't know how long I stayed in the abandoned classroom but when the last bell rang, I decided to run away, to run home and never return to the school. Perhaps I should fake my death.

I pulled the door open and tried to run off, but my head hit something hard…no, someone. Kaivrian.

“Hey, Kitten.” He uttered as he grabbed my hand and pulled me back into the classroom. My pulse quickened when he locked the door and I moved back.

“W-what are you doing? W-why are you…no, why did you do what you did earlier? Is this one of your pranks? Are you planning to bully me?”

“First of all, Kitten,” he muttered, his voice lower than usual, eyes still wild with the intensity from earlier, “if I wanted to bully you, I wouldn’t have kissed you in front of the entire school. I’ve done a lot of messed-up things, yeah… but that wasn’t one of them.”

Yeah sure. Messed up things like pushing me down the stairs because I was ‘walking too slow’ or shredding every piece of clothing I owned because I was breathing too loudly. I wish I could say this out loud, but I knew better than to get on Kaivrian's bad side.

“So here is the deal Glinda…,” he paused, studying me. “For the rest of senior year, I want you to date me. A fake date actually.”

“What?!”

“The thing is.” He leaned in closer, his breath warm against my ear, voice dropping to something raw and almost dangerous. “I’ve never gotten hard. Ever. My dick just didn’t work. Dead. Nothing. Doctors, pills, whatever…I tried it all. Nothing.”

His lips brushed the shell of my ear, then drifted lower. I stiffened, breath catching, but didn’t pull away.

Oh goddess, help me.

“Until that kiss on the rooftop. The second my mouth touched yours… fuck! My dick woke up. Like a switch flipped. I’ve been half-hard ever since just thinking about it.”

I swallowed hard, my body trembling as his hand slid down my waist before dropping between my thighs, just enough to brush the sensitive bud through my underwear.

He teased me there and my hips jerked involuntarily as a tiny unfamiliar sound slipped past my lips.

Kaivrian pulled back just far enough to look at my face…flushed, eyes wide, lips parted. He inhaled slowly, like he was savoring the scent of my arousal, then let out a low, satisfied hum.

My throat tightened, voice shaky. “What… What do I get out of this? If I actually agree with your insane fake-dating plan for the rest of the year?”

He smiled. Slow, predatory, but with something almost vulnerable flickering behind it. “You get Ethan.”

My heart slammed against my ribs.

“My brother,” he continued, watching my reaction like a hawk. “The one you’ve been mooning over since you arrived at the house. I’ll make him notice you. Guys want what other guys have. I’ll show you off, make it look like you’re mine. He’ll get jealous fast and by the end of high school, he’ll be the one chasing you.

His thumb traced a lazy circle over the damp spot on my underwear, and I shivered.

“And as a bonus, you’ll get something else,” he added, voice darker now. “Something you’ve never let yourself want. New feelings. Dirty ones. The kind that makes your thighs shake and your brain short-circuits. You felt it just now, didn’t you? That little spark when I barely touched you?” He leaned in again, lips hovering over mine.

“Don’t you want to know what more than a kiss feels like? What it will feel like to be pleasured?”

His eyes locked on mine, unblinking. “Say yes, kitten. When we’re done, you can walk away. I get to satisfy this sudden hunger my body has for you… And you get the experience too of course, but most importantly, you will have my brother all to yourself. It's a fair deal don't you think?”

Saying this, he pulled out and in a serious tone finished by saying, “There’s only one rule, Kitten. Never fall in love with me.”

  • Fake Dating The Dangerous Hockey Brother    Chapter 158

Glinda POVThe morning light came soft through the half-drawn curtains, gold and forgiving, the kind that made the previous night feel both distant and still warm under the skin. I woke first, cheek pressed to Ethan’s uninjured shoulder, the diamond studs cool against my lobe when I shifted. His breathing was even. The claw-mark ridges under my palm were only memory now, smooth enough that I could almost pretend the violence had never happened. Almost. We stayed like that for a long time. No rush. No lectures calling. The university schedule sat on the nightstand like an accusation neither of us wanted to answer. When he finally opened his eyes the gold at the edges caught the light the same way it had in the car the night before.“Skip,” I said.He didn’t ask what. He only nodded, thumb tracing the line of my hip under the sheet. “Beach house. The one my uncle never uses this time of year.”That was how it started. No grand declaration. Just the quiet decision to steal a day, then a

The black SUV hummed under us, the same vehicle that still felt too new, the same one he had given me the keys to on a birthday that now felt both recent and impossibly far away. When he parked and killed the engine the quiet settled heavy. Neither of us reached for the door right away.“I’m still scared,” I said into the dark.“I know.”“Of your father. Of the stranger. Of what Ronnie will do if you ever slip. Of what I might do if I keep choosing this.”He turned in the seat. The gold at the edges of his eyes caught the streetlight. “I’m scared too. Every day. But I’m still here if you are.”I got out first. He followed. Inside the house the new couch and the sealed floorboards still carried the ghost of blood and violence, but the air smelled only of the lemon cleaner he used and the faint spice of the takeout we had left unfinished days ago. He locked the door. I set

Glinda POVI told him the next evening. We were at his place again, the new couch still stiff under us, takeout containers open on the low table, the television muted on some documentary neither of us was watching. I had spent the day in lectures that felt farther away than usual, the poetry lines sliding off my attention while Ronnie’s voice kept replaying in my head. The disappointment. The quiet certainty that things like this always broke. The way she had looked at me like I was choosing the wrong kind of damage.Ethan sat with one arm along the back of the couch, not quite touching me, the way he still did when he wasn’t sure of the distance. I set my fork down and told him everything. The coffee I had brought. The blanket she had handed me. The way I started with the dinners and the nights and the theater, leaving out the exact shape of his mouth between my legs but not the fact that something had shifted. Then the rest…the blood, the claws, the blade, the ultimatum, the warni

Glinda POV “I’m not going anywhere tonight,” I said, the words quieter than I meant them to be. “You can sleep.”He didn’t answer right away. His fingers stayed laced with mine under the covers, the scrape of his calluses familiar now against my skin. He closed his eyes first and I watched the lines around them ease, the gold ring that sometimes showed when his control slipped fading back into ordinary brown. His breathing deepened slowly. I stayed awake a little longer, listening to the steady rhythm of it, counting the places on his torso where the bruises had gone from purple to yellow to almost nothing. The claw marks were only pale ridges now. The stab wound had closed clean. Two weeks had done that. Two weeks of dinners and careful nights and the word dating still tasting strange every time one of us said it out loud.Sleep took me eventually. When I woke the light through the curtains was soft gray, early enough that the city outside still sounded half-asleep. Ethan was alre

Glinda POVTwo weeks later the blood was gone from the floorboards, the couch had been replaced, and the claw marks on Ethan’s ribs had faded to pale pink lines he still covered with soft cotton shirts. The one-month ultimatum from his father sat like a stone at the edge of every quiet moment, but somehow the days between had softened around it. We had started calling it dating, careful, deliberate, the word still new enough that it felt strange on my tongue. He picked me up for dinner three times. I stayed the night twice, always on my side of the bed until sleep pulled us closer. We talked about ordinary things: the new job I was considering, the way the city smelled after rain, the ridiculous number of books he kept stacked on the floor of the guest room. We did not talk about the hooded figure or the blade or the territory waiting for him. Not yet.He had chosen the theater on purpose…the luxurious one with the gold floors and the balcony seats that no one ever used after nine.

Glinda POVWhen Ethan called me I rushed to his house. The line had been bad, his voice rough, broken on the single plea of “P-please come”…and then it cut out. I didn’t think and just grabbed my keys, the new ones that still felt strange in my hand, and drove the black SUV the short distance with my heart hammering hard enough to hurt. I pushed the door open the moment I arrived, and the smell hit me first, blood, sweat, the sharp copper edge of violence, and underneath it something wilder, like wet earth and pine after a storm. The living room looked like a fight had torn through it—furniture splintered, a dark smear on the floorboards, the couch shoved half out of place. Ethan sat on the edge of the ruined couch, shirtless, a gauze pad taped high on the left side of his ribs, another over a cut above his eye. Bruises were already blooming across his chest and shoulder. His lip was split. When he looked up, his eyes were too bright, too raw.“Glinda.” My name came out like it co
