Sarra’s POV

“I can’t do it,” I said, crossing my arms.

He leaned beside me, his arms folded. “You say that like it’s a bad thing.”

“I can’t fake-date you,” I said again, “Elena would never forgive me, Ronan. She’s already pissed that those photos exist. If I suddenly ‘date’ you, she’ll think I’m doing it on purpose to humiliate her.”

He tilted his head. “And are you?”

I scowled. “No!”

He grinned. “Then who cares what she thinks?”

I stared up at him. “You don’t get it. She’s my best friend. I can’t betray her like that. I already feel like I have.”

He rolled his eyes. “You didn’t betray anyone. You got caught in a mess. I’m just offering you a way out.”

“By tying myself to you?” I shot back. “No, thank you.”

He sighed, rubbing his neck. “Suit yourself, princess. But don’t come crying when they start calling you my rebound girl instead.”

I wanted to punch him. Instead, I grabbed my purse, and ignored him, as I left his house.

  • Fake Dating the Hollywood Billionaire    Chapter 11 – Night Air

Ronan’s POV“What the hell is going on here?” Clara asked again, her eye brows furrowed in concern. Or was it curiosity? All three of us froze. Ethan’s hand was still half-raised from the punch he’d thrown, my lip was bleeding, and Sarra stood between us, breathing hard.Ethan dropped his arm like a kid caught stealing. “It’s nothing,” he said quickly, forcing a smile. “Just a guy thing.”Clara’s eyes narrowed. “A guy thing? You were yelling loud enough to wake the dead.”“It’s fine,” he said again. “We were just… talking business.”Her gaze swept over us, sharp as glass. “Business? You hit each other over business now?”Sarra tried to smile, but it didn’t reach her eyes. “It got a little heated. That’s all.”Clara looked from her to me, then down at my mouth. “Your lip’s bleeding, Ronan.”I wiped it with the back of my hand. “Occupational hazard.”“Of what, exactly?” she asked.Ethan stepped in before I could answer. “He’s just being dramatic. Right, bro?”I met his look but said not

  • Fake Dating the Hollywood Billionaire    Chapter 10 – Some blows

Ronan’s POVI’d been looking for her for twenty minutes.Sarra had said she was going to the bathroom, but that was fifteen songs ago, and the charity dinner was already winding down. People were laughing, music spilling from the speakers, the usual fake Hollywood smiles stretching too wide. I’d smiled enough for a lifetime. Now I just wanted to find her.I slipped away from the crowd, ignoring the flashes of cameras near the garden. The upstairs hallway was dim, quieter. I was halfway up when I heard voices, hers and Ethan’s.I stopped at the landing.“…was a mistake,” Ethan was saying, his tone rough. “You think I don’t know that?”I moved closer, just enough to see them through the half-open door at the end of the hall. Sarra stood with her back to the wall, arms folded tight across her chest. Ethan was in front of her, too close, blocking her way out.“Ethan, stop,” she said.He didn’t. “You can’t tell me you don’t still feel something. I know you do.”I felt my jaw clench. Sarra

Sarra’s POVHis hand on my wrist made me feel butterflies in my belly. .“Ethan, let go,” I said quietly. I didnt want anyone to see us together, but he looked like he didn't care.“We need to talk.” he repeated. I tried to pull free, but his grip only tightened. “Please,” he said. “Just five minutes.”Something in his tone made me stop. I hated that it he still affected me this way. That a part of still held out for him. I folded my arms and tried to look tough. “You’ve got three.”He exhaled, running a hand through his hair. “I shouldn’t have yelled last night.”“That’s what you came to say?”“And I shouldn’t have said those things about Ronan. Or about you.”I snorted. “Save it. I think that covers it.”He stepped closer. “Look, say the word and I'll get a divorce.”“What the hell is wrong with you?” I tried to walk past him, but he caught my arm again.“Sarra, listen to me. This marriage..” He stopped, swallowing. “I don’t know what I was thinking.”I eyed him. “What are you sayin

Sarra’s POVThe next morning, I woke up with a pounding headache and a knot in my stomach. All night, I’d replayed the bathroom scene in my head. I thought about Ethan's hands on my waist, how he'd looked at me. I wondered if he still loved me, and If I was going crazy. When I walked into the kitchen, Ethan and Clara were there.I thought they’d have left for their honeymoon by now, but there they were. Clara in a cream robe, scrolling through her phone, and Ethan in a white T-shirt, making coffee like it was a normal Sunday. Her mother was chatting with them, cheerful as ever. “Oh, Sarra! Good morning, sweetheart. You look pale. Did you drink too much wine last night?”I forced a smile. “Maybe just a little.”Ethan looked up at me. His eyes met mine for half a second, unreadable, then dropped to his mug. Clara didn’t notice.Of course she didn’t.Ronan walked in a moment later, barefoot, hair a mess, looking entirely too good for someone who’d been up half the night fighting with his

Ronan’s POVEthan’s voice cracked through the room like a gunshot.“What the fuck is this?”Sarra stumbled back, her lips still flushed, her eyes wide. I didn’t move. I was still half between her and the counter, my hands clenched at my sides.“Ethan,” I said evenly, “you’re married. Maybe you should remember that before storming into bathrooms.”His face darkened. “Don’t start with me.” He jabbed a finger toward me. “You’re screwing my ex?”“Repeat that,” I said quietly.Ethan hesitated, then smirked. “You heard me.”I took one step forward. “Say it again.”He did. Louder this time. “You’re screwing my ex-girlfriend in my wife's parents’ house—”I swung before he finished. Sarra darted between us just in time. “Stop it!” My fist stopped an inch from Ethan’s face. I dropped it, but barely.“Move,” I said to her.“No.” She turned to Ethan, her voice shaking. “You don’t get to do this.”He blinked, caught off guard. “Excuse me?”“You don’t get to walk in here and play the jealous ex whe
