19. Remind Me Of Why I Hate The Rich

“Excuse me?” I asked, arching my brows at what Liam’s dad had asked. I definitely didn’t expect him to ask me something so straight forward, reminding me of my actual background.

“You heard me right. Your probably poor self has never eaten something like this, have you?” he uttered.

“Dad.” Liam cautioned, giving him a stoic glare. For a second, I actually wondered why he was defending me. I hadn’t been good to him most of the times. Did he mean what he just said or this was all part of the act?

“It’s ok, Lee.” I told Liam, still playing the girl friend role. My hands moved to his, pretending to sooth it to calm him down.

“Tell us about your parent’s profession,” Lady Racheal, who was his mum asked. Sighting her merely, one could have no doubt that she was of high societal status from how she always posed. Neck, so elegant. Even her clothes were coated in diamonds which looked authentic.
