Eden sat in her room, dreading to step outside. He was still at home, and she couldn’t risk having a clash with him right now.She got off the bed and went to the bathroom for a quick shower, and when she was done, she put on joggers and a T-shirt. The first time Kyrell saw Eden, he knew he liked her and wanted to be with her, but it was impossible because now, she was already pregnant with Jace’s child. It was, in fact, the main reason he didn’t attend the wedding. Kyrell paced the hospital’s waiting room while Eden fought for her life in the ER. He still couldn’t believe what he had just witnessed in Jace’s house. For a moment he wondered what had happened to his friend to make him so evil, but then it occurred to him that it was in Jace’s nature to have no empathy.“Kyrell?” The nurse’s voice snapped him out of his reverie.“The doctor would like to see you in his office."“After you.” Kyrell said as he followed behind the nurse.As he walked to the doctor’s office, he prayed fervently that nothing life-threatening was going on with Eden or the child.“Thank you for coming, Mr. Kyrell. Jace walked into the Silver Crest Hotel and headed straight for the reception.
