Aria sat on the edge of the bed, her arms wrapped tightly around her knees. The grand room felt suffocating, despite its elegance. Her tears soaked into the satin fabric of her dress as silent sobs wracked her body.

This wasn’t revenge.

This was defeat.

She had come here with a plan, to make Marco suffer, to make him feel even a fraction of the pain he caused her. But somewhere along the line, everything had spiraled out of control. She hadn’t just walked into the lion’s den, she had chained herself to it.

Now she was Damian De Luca's wife. Legally, permanently, publicly.

The very thought sent a wave of dread through her chest. Was this how she was going to live now? Trapped in a loveless marriage with a man who despised her very existence?

She sniffled, shaking her head. This was a mistake. A horrible, life-ruining mistake.

Her mind flashed back to Fiona’s voice the day before she came here.

"Aria, please think this through. Revenge isn't worth destroying your life.

Aria stormed into the bedroom, slamming the door behind her so hard the sound echoed through the entire mansion. Her hands trembled uncontrollably as she reached for the closet, yanking out clothes with tear-filled eyes, her breaths coming in broken sobs. Each dress she pulled out reminded her of a memory with Damian. Each shirt folded with love now felt like a lie stitched together by betrayal. Her suitcase lay open on the bed, waiting to carry away the pieces of her shattered life. She wiped her face with the back of her hand, but the tears wouldn’t stop. “I gave you everything,” she whispered to herself as she shoved another handful of clothes into the bag. “My heart, my trust… and you tore it apart.” The door creaked open behind her, and she froze for a moment before hearing his voice. “Aria…” Damian's voice was soft, hesitant, like he didn’t know what to say. She didn’t turn. “Don’t,” she said in a sharp breath, snatching another drawer open. “Don’t say a word.” He

Aria stood frozen. His words—yes—kept ringing in her ears like an explosion that never stopped. Her knees weakened beneath her, her lips parted but no words came. It was as if all the air had been sucked out of the room. Her heart pounded violently in her chest. Her vision blurred. She couldn’t breathe. She took a step back from Damian, shaking her head slowly, her body trembling. “No… no, no, no…” she whispered, her voice breaking, barely audible. She clutched her chest. Each breath grew shallower. Ragged. Desperate. Then, suddenly, she gasped, staggering backward. “Aria!” Fiona rushed forward. “Aria, you’re having a panic attack—hey! Someone get water!” she screamed, kneeling beside her. Aria’s hands clutched at her own chest as she collapsed to her knees, her breaths rapid and choking, her entire body shaking uncontrollably. Damian stepped forward immediately, panic in his voice. “Aria—” “Stay away from me!” she cried, her voice sharp, shattered. She shoved his hand awa

Aria began walking, slow, steady, purposeful, toward Lyla. Lyla’s heart pounded in her chest. She could see the storm brewing in Aria’s eyes, the kind that could no longer be silenced by tears or gentle words. Her throat tightened as Aria stopped directly in front of her. "You," Aria spat, her voice trembling with fury. "Ever since you came into this house, you’ve been inching your way closer to Damian. Don’t you get disgusted by yourself?" Lyla’s lips parted, but no words came. "You’re so shameless," Aria continued, her voice rising. "You’re lusting after your own uncle, do you even hear how sick that sounds? You’re cheap, Lyla. So cheap." Lyla’s face flushed with rage, shame, and embarrassment. Her hands clenched into fists at her sides. “Aria—” she started to speak, but Aria snapped. “Shut up!” Aria barked, loud and sharp, making everyone flinch. “Just be quiet, Lyla. Not a word from you.” Damian stepped forward, his voice low. “Aria, please—” “Enough!” Aria shout

Aria stepped out of the bathroom, a soft towel wrapped around her damp body, her skin glowing from the steamy shower. Damian followed shortly behind, his towel slung low around his hips, droplets of water trailing down his toned chest. They both chuckled as she handed him a smaller towel and began patting down his hair with gentle care. "You're spoiling me," he murmured, leaning into her touch. "And I’ll keep doing it," she smiled. "Your hair always looks better when I dry it." He grinned and took the towel from her, returning the gesture by gently rubbing her hair, his fingers occasionally grazing her scalp in a way that made her eyes flutter shut. The moment felt soft, intimate, like they had all the time in the world. Soon, they were dressed, both of them lingering at the mirror, stealing glances and kisses. Aria stood by the closet, brushing her hair when she turned and said, “I want to go shopping today.” Damian walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist

Aria woke slowly, the morning sun peeking through the cream-colored curtains, casting a golden glow over the room. Her lashes fluttered as she adjusted to the light, her body still warm and sore from the night before. A soft breath escaped her lips when she realized she was lying completely bare beneath the sheets… and so was the man beside her. Damian. He lay on his back, chest rising and falling steadily, the sheet barely covering the lower half of his body. His arm was stretched across her waist, possessive even in sleep. The warmth of his skin pressed against her side, and the memory of the way he’d touched her, kissed her, filled her, made her cheeks flush. Aria propped herself up slightly, resting her head on her hand as she admired him. He looked peaceful, vulnerable even, nothing like the ruthless man the world knew. Here, in their bed, he was just hers. She leaned down and kissed his shoulder gently, then let her lips trail to his chest. He stirred. “Mmm,” Damian’s

Aria lay back against the pillows, her damp hair fanned out like dark silk around her head. Her skin still glistened slightly from their shared shower, and her eyes, half-lidded with desire, were fixed on Damian as he moved toward her. He’d never seen her look more beautiful. Damian climbed into the bed slowly, his eyes drinking her in as if trying to commit every curve, every inch, to memory. The warm, dim light of the bedside lamp created soft shadows over her bare skin, highlighting the flutter of her chest as she breathed. “Come here,” she whispered, voice thick with need. He hovered above her, bracing himself on his arms, not touching her just yet. He stared into her eyes. “Are you sure you want this tonight?” “I’ve always wanted you,” she said softly, reaching up to run her fingers down his chest. “But tonight… I need you, more than ever.” Damian lowered his head and captured her lips again, this time with more urgency. Their kiss deepened quickly, becoming a slow-burning
