Chap-84*Crush The Crush!*

Arlene’s POV:

A Few Months Ago:

I have just celebrated my birthday, and my life has turned upside down. I was told by my mother that I have to stop resisting Uncle Charles and that he can pursue me behind closed doors now that I am of legal age.

It just angered me. How could a mother do this to her daughter? While I was suffering, I have found out that Daxon was not going to let Serena live in peace. He aimed to torture her after getting her pregnant. I had to find a way to stop this marriage somehow. But how would I do that? my mom wouldn’t let us talk and by this time, they have created such a false narrative around me that I bet Serena wouldn’t believe me even if I tell her anything.

I was scared of the day Serena will see the true colors of these hideous people. She will be traumatized but better without them. And I aimed to do that. I aimed to help my sister survive even if I have to lose my life in exchange for it.

I stared at the incoming call from Daxon and clenched my jaw.
