Chap-90*Not Anymore*

Max looked irritated at my arrival because he wanted Arlene to be left alone. He must have gotten the instructions from Daxon and knew already that I would defend Arlene.

"Walk away, Serena!" Max voiced, making sure they didn’t break the circle and keep Arlene trapped.

"And why would I do that?" I asked, taking steps to reach them. The others shared a glance and smirked, probably wanting to bully me as well.

"And why not? This isn’t the sister you would want to protect. Did you forget how she used to make your life a living hell?" Max tried his best to pin me against her, but I have lived her life, so I am aware of everything.

I noticed Arlene standing up and rushing to the corner, looking angry and probably frustrated with herself for not having a wolf.

"She is not the one at fault," I said, "My sister is innocent. Whoever told you all these stories is the real culprit," I was not shying away from defending her anymore.
