It had been a week since Daisy and Vincenzo returned to Italy. They went back to their normal work routine. That afternoon, Daisy sat at her desk, hunched over a report Vincenzo had asked her to complete before the end of the day. Her fingers flew over the keyboard. She was grateful for the intensity of the task, the little distraction from the heat still lingering between her thighs whenever she thought of that night in the hotel. It had branded itself into her like a permanent scar, deliciously raw and unforgettable.

A gentle tap at the door to her office cubicle interrupted her concentration, followed by the soft, almost apologetic voice of the receptionist. “Miss Daisy? There’s someone here to see you. He said his name is Marco. He’s waiting in the parking lot.”

Daisy’s head snapped up, her fingers freezing mid-air above the keys. Marco?

She turned toward the bathroom, wanting to flee this uncomfortable tension. But before she could even reach the doorknob, he was there, behind her, his body was like a wall. One hand slammed the bathroom door shut with a resounding thud, the other pressed firmly beside her head on the wall, trapping her, caging her. She was completely trapped, caught between his hard body and the cold, unyielding wall. “Vincenzo…” she whispered, her voice barely a breath, a plea. “You’re mine, Daisy,” he said, his voice a low growl. “And I don’t like it when others get close to what’s mine. I hate sharing.” His words were a primal declaration, a stark claim of ownership. “I… I didn’t do anything.” she protested. “No, but you just don’t seem to get it.” His breath was hot against her ear, sending shivers down her spine, raising goosebumps on her skin. “You don’t get that you’re mine.” His breath was hot against her ear. Her heart was pounding. He leaned in closer, his lips brushing her e

It had been almost two weeks since Daisy landed in New York with her boss, and every day since then had been a masterclass in resisting temptation. A living, breathing, brooding temptation who happened to go by the name Vincenzo Marino. She’d survived. Barely. And if she had to survive two more days, she was definitely packing a medal for it. Today, however, she was determined to do something for herself. Lunch with Marco. Not the one from the office, but Marco, her long-lost friend from college who had unexpectedly resurfaced in the form of a successful restaurant owner. Daisy hummed quietly as she sat in front of the mirror in their hotel suite, carefully applying a light pink shade of lipstick. Her dress… a pale blue, cinched at the waist, made her feel both elegant and comfortable. She glanced at the time on her phone. Just a few more minutes before she had to leave. Her thoughts drifted briefly to Vincenzo. She hadn’t seen him all morning. Not since she’d casually mentio

Left alone at the table, Daisy leaned back and soaked in the ambient energy of the room. Then, suddenly, a voice, a deeply familiar voice, sounded from behind.“Daisy?”She turned, eyes widening. A tall guy with boyish features, still possessing a charmingly familiar smile, stood a few tables away, looking directly at her.“Marco?” she gasped, standing up. “Oh my God, is that really you?”Marco chuckled, his smile widening as he stepped forward to hug her, a warm, comforting embrace. “In the flesh, Daisy. It’s been so long.”“What are you doing here?” she asked, unable to stop smiling.“I own the place. Just here tonight to check in with the staff, make sure everything runs smoothly. Super random.”“Wow,” Daisy breathed, genuinely impressed. “It’s been years. I thought you just… vanished.”“I didn’t mean to disappear. I got transferred for family reasons, and then I lost my phone so I couldn’t contact anyone. Life just got complicated, you know how it is.”“I was so worried something

New York City. The name itself felt like a promise. The jarring, sound of suitcase wheels rolling over the polished airport tile announced their arrival. Daisy stepped out of JFK’s terminal alongside Vincenzo, the brisk air of New York brushing against her skin. The city was alive… horns blared in the distance, the screech of subway trains hummed beneath them, and people weaved through the crowds with purpose, as if each of them were perpetually late for something incredibly important. It was, after all, truly the city that never slept.Their driver, a tall man in a black coat with a discreet earpiece nestled in his ear, approached, taking their luggage and opening the back door of a sleek, black Cadillac SUV. Vincenzo gave a curt nod and climbed in without a word, his phone already in hand. Daisy hesitated for a second, stealing one more glance at the skyline before sliding into the seat beside him.As they drove through Manhattan, Daisy’s eyes were glued to the window. Every turn br

Daisy’s POV “Relax,” he chuckled, a cruel, mocking sound. “I’m not gonna hit you. Not here, in front of all these people.” My chest tightened, a familiar knot of fear and anger rising deep within me.He leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a low, venomous whisper. “I was right about you all along, wasn’t I? You’re a cheap slut. Just like her.”He didn’t need to say who “her” was. I knew. My mother.“But you’re also stupid,” he continued. “Thinking any of this would last? That the Don actually gives a damn about you? You’re a pawn. A pretty distraction. That’s all you are to him.”I clenched my fists so tightly my nails dug into my palms, but I didn’t utter a single word. I simply stared at him, refusing to give him the satisfaction of a reaction.“Now,” he said, finally stepping back and smoothly straightening the lapels of his expensive suit, his demeanor shifting back to one of arrogant authority. “Be a good little slut and arrange a meeting for me. Vincenzo and I have business.
