Fenrik’s POV

“How dare you, Rhunar Vale! You didn’t even tell me you were getting engaged!”

Agatha’s voice cut through the afternoon like thunder as she stormed into Rhunar’s car workshop.

I stood by the door, leaning against the frame with my arms crossed. Yeah… I was going to watch this drama unfold.

Rhunar slid out from under a car, grease on his hands, a spanner in his grip. He didn’t look surprised. Just tired.

“What are you doing here, Agatha?” he asked, his voice flat.

“You didn’t come to see me at the hospital,” she said, stepping closer, her voice shaking. “You didn’t visit. You didn’t reply to a single message. I had to find out from someone else—that you’re engaged to Lya.”

He wiped his hands slowly with a cloth but said nothing. Just stood there, watching her like she was a stranger.

“I was busy,” he said simply.

Agatha’s face crumpled. “Busy?” she repeated. “With what? I’m your best friend, Rhunar! I didn’t expect this from you. I didn’t expect you to be… such a coward.”

He tensed, his jaw tightening.

“I told you, I have a lot going on,” Rhunar replied. “The pack, the town—Dad’s not here, and it’s all on me. Work. School. Training. I don’t have time for—”

“For what?” she cut in. “For the people who care about you? For me?”

Her voice cracked. “You’re changing, Rhunar. Everything about you is changing. You act like I don’t exist. You know how much I care about you, and you keep pushing me away. Why?”

She took a step closer, her voice dropping. “Why, Rhunar? You know how much you mean to me, and you—”

“Don’t bring that here,” he snapped suddenly, his voice sharp and cold. “This is my place of work. You don’t get to walk in and cause a scene.”

Agatha’s lips parted, stunned.

“Please leave,” he said, already walking toward his office. “I’m busy. And I think you should rest too, after everything that happened last week.”

He didn’t even look back.

He just closed the office door behind him like nothing had happened.

I stood frozen.

And then I saw it.

Tears.

She was crying.

Right there.

For that cold-hearted bastard.

It hurt. Not just her—but me too.

Because she was crying over someone who didn’t see her.

Didn’t choose her.

Didn’t deserve her.

She stood there a few seconds longer, swallowing hard, blinking fast.

I stepped forward, quietly.

But I didn’t say anything yet.

Because right then, I realized something:

He broke her.

He broke her.

And if I ever get the chance…

to prove to her that bastard doesn’t deserve her—I’ll take it.

“Agatha… are you okay?” I asked, my voice softer now, my chest tight as I looked down at her.

She didn’t answer.

She just dropped to her knees on the concrete floor, covering her face with her hands, her shoulders shaking. The tears fell fast, and the silence around her made it worse.

The other workers had stopped. They were all staring—openly.

I clenched my jaw.

“Hey!” I snapped, loud and sharp. “Get back to work! Do what you’re paid to do and stop staring!”

The men flinched. A few scrambled to pick up tools. The rest went back to pretending nothing was happening.

I looked at her again, kneeling on the ground like her whole world had just shattered.

And I couldn’t take it anymore.

I clenched my fists, turned, and marched straight into Rhunar’s office without thinking.

The door slammed open.

“How dare you!” I growled.

Rhunar stood from his desk, eyes narrowing. “What the hell are you doing in here, Fenrik?”

“Don’t play dumb,” I snapped. “You broke her.”

He raised an eyebrow, folding his arms across his chest. “Oh, look who’s trying to act like he cares. You think you’re her savior now?”

“Stop pretending you’re some great leader with responsibilities,” I spat. “You don’t even know how to be a decent friend.”

“I’m running Dad’s business,” he shot back. “Handling pack affairs. Doing something with my life. Unlike you—who only knows how to stir up trouble and ruin everything.”

“That girl outside?” I said, pointing toward the door, my voice rising. “She cared about you. She waited for you. And you ignored her! You could’ve sent flowers. A simple call. But no—you ghosted her and let her hear about your engagement from me!”

Rhunar scoffed. “Don’t tell me how to treat Agatha. I know her better than you ever will. She’s strong. She’ll bounce back.”

I slammed both hands down on his desk, hard. “You’re a terrible friend. You know how much she loves you—and you’re too much of a coward to admit that you don’t feel the same. So instead, you lead her on.”

Rhunar’s eyes flared. “Watch your mouth.”

“Oh, I’m just getting started,” I growled, leaning in. “You think being Daddy’s little heir makes you invincible? Let me remind you—this pack, this title, and that girl you left in tears… they’re not yours yet.”

He straightened, glaring. “You really think you can take them from me?”

I nodded slowly. “I used to joke about it. But not anymore. This time, I mean it. You’re not the Alpha you think you are. And I’m done standing in your shadow.”

Rhunar stepped closer, nose to nose with me now. “You can try. But I’ve got everyone on my side—Dad, the Beta, the pack… even Agatha. No matter what I do, she’ll always choose me.”

I looked him dead in the eyes.

“Then let’s see how long that lasts.”

Without waiting for a reply, I turned and stormed out of the office, slamming the door behind me. My blood was still boiling, but the second I stepped outside—I froze.

She was gone.

I scanned the workshop in a panic. “Where did she go?” I asked one of the workers nearby.

He looked up from the tire he was fixing. “She left, sir.”

Damn it.

I rushed outside, hoping to catch a glimpse of her on the street. Nothing. No sign of her.

But then… something caught my eye.

My car.

Someone was sitting inside.

I jogged over, heart thudding.

There she was—Agatha—sitting in the passenger seat like she’d been there the whole time. Her arms were folded, her face turned away, resting lightly against the window.

The tears were gone. Her eyes were calm now, like a storm that had passed.

I got into the driver’s seat slowly, glancing at her but not saying anything right away.

She spoke first, voice soft.

“Can you drive me to school? I have an exam.”

I nodded once, trying not to smile, trying not to make it a big deal. But I couldn’t help it.

“Yes, omega. Your personal driver, Fenrik the Chauffeur, reporting for duty,” I said with a grin. “Do you need anything else from me today, my Luna?”

The nickname slipped out without warning.

But it made her lips twitch.

Just for a second.

A tiny smile—barely there—but I saw it.

She quickly looked away, pretending I didn’t.

“Nothing,” she said. “Just… don’t play any loud music.”

“Yes, ma’am,” I said, already turning the key in the ignition.

She rolled the window down, letting the fresh air brush against her skin, her hair fluttering gently in the wind.

I picked a soft song—something calm—and let it play quietly through the speakers.

As we drove, I kept my eyes on the road.

But inside, I smiled.

Because for the first time…

She didn’t push me away.

Agatha’s POVI let out a long breath as I wrote the last answer on my paper. My fingers hurt because I had been writing too fast. But thank Goodness, I finished just in time. For once, nothing went wrong—no fainting, no wolf fights, and no drama.Well… except for one thing.Professor Dale had been staring at me the whole time like he wanted to burn a hole through my paper. His eyes felt heavy on me, like a bird watching its food. It made me very uncomfortable.I got up slowly, holding my answer sheet like it was something precious, and walked to his desk. He didn’t look at me at first. His red pen was busy moving on another student’s paper. But I could feel it coming. That moment.“You know,” he said quietly, still not looking at me, “having both Alpha brothers hanging around you doesn’t change your level.”There it was.He finally looked up at me. His eyes were cold. Not curious—just full of judgment.“You’re still just an omega, Miss Morrow,” he said in a low, sharp voice. “First, y

Agatha’s POV The moment I stepped through the college gates, everything around me felt dull. The sky looked grey, even though the sun was shining. The students around me laughed and rushed to their classes, but it all sounded far away. All I could hear was the same thought, again and again: He got engaged to Lya… and I didn’t even see it coming. One week ago, he was just ignoring my texts. Now he’s someone else’s future Alpha. A part of me still couldn’t believe it. Another part was already planning how to destroy it. It’s not over. Not yet. With Fenrik’s help, I knew I could stop that wedding. I didn’t care if the whole pack thought I was crazy. I would do anything—anything—to make Rhunar see that I was the one. Not just a friend. Not just some weak omega. I tightened my grip on my books and picked up my pace. Today was exam day. I had to focus. As I reached the classroom door, my heart was already pounding. Not from nerves, but because I was two minutes late. Just two. Pl

Third Person POV “The wind is blowing in my mind, something tells me I might die... hmm hmm…” Fenrik sang loudly, his fingers tapping the steering wheel to the beat. His voice filled the car like it was a concert hall. Agatha sat beside him, eyes squinting at her book, trying to read the same sentence for the third time. Her jaw clenched. “Seriously, Fenrik. Will you keep it down?” she said, not even looking up from her notes. “No, omega,” he said with a grin. “My car, my rules. And this—this is my favorite song. You gotta let it flow through your soul.” He kept humming even louder, clearly enjoying himself. Agatha sighed deeply. “Do you even realize how uncomfortable I am right now? I have an exam in less than twenty minutes, and here you are—driving like we’ve got all day, blasting this… emotional disaster of a song.” Fenrik raised an eyebrow. “Emotional disaster?” he asked with mock offense. “You clearly have no taste.” “Fenrik Vale, stop this childish behavior!” she snappe

Agatha’s POVThank goodness he didn’t accept my mom’s offer. Fenrik and his annoying behavior... always popping up where I don’t need him.Why is he here, anyway? It should be Rhunar taking care of me. He’s the one who’s supposed to protect me. But instead, he’s off… with his in-laws.Ugh. Did I really just think that? No. No way. Lya is not taking Rhunar from me.He’s mine.My destined mate. My forever mate. The Moon Goddess doesn’t make mistakes. She chose us to be together. That should mean something… right? If only Rhunar had accepted the bond. If he saw me as more than just a friend, none of this would’ve happened. I wouldn’t be stuck in this mess, I wouldn’t have kissed Fenrik, and there wouldn’t have been a fight at Lya’s birthday.“Honey, do you want me to help you up to your room?” my mom’s voice cut through my thoughts.“Yes, mom,” I said quietly, letting her offer her hand as we slowly made our way up the stairs.“Poor Fenrik,” she said, her tone soft. “I wonder how he’s

Fenrik’s POV“She’s not my boyfriend.”She said it fast—without even thinking. Like it didn’t mean anything. But to me… it did.I stayed quiet, letting the words settle in the air between us. My jaw tightened, but I didn’t let it show too much. I just looked away, pretending her words didn’t hit the one place I was trying to hide—my heart.Of course, I should’ve known. I wasn’t hers. Not yet. But damn, how I wished she was mine. I’d give anything just to hear her say my name like it meant something more.I remembered that kiss—not the one at the party, but the first one.
