Someone’s POV
Agatta couldn’t stop smiling as she watched her son behind the wheel. Angelo was driving the brand-new car he’d insisted they buy yesterday. Tonight, he suddenly begged her to eat out, claiming he wanted to try something new.
“You know…” she teased, narrowing her eyes with suspicion. “I’m starting to wonder if you did something wrong. Why are you acting so… different, Angelo?”
Angelo frowned, briefly glancing at her before flashing a smile.
“Huh? No. Nothing like that. I just realized we should… enjoy our time here in Hawaii while we can.”
Her brow arched, but she returned his smile.
“You’re right

Someone’s POVThe plane had just landed in Hawaii. Angelo followed his mother through the crowded terminal, but unease gnawed at his chest. They were supposed to be safe here, hidden until the right time. Yet nothing about this felt right. He couldn’t understand his mother’s actions anymore.“Angelo! Why did you take so long in the restroom? Come on, I already got us a taxi!” Agatta snapped, her voice sharp. He rushed to her side, forcing himself to hide the truth. He hadn’t been in the restroom just to freshen up—he had called Sebastian.“Where are we even going, Mom? We don’t know anyone here.”Agatta rolled her eyes, irritated. “Stop ask
I didn’t know what to feel after reading it.My father’s last will.I had no idea he had been preparing it already. But why did it feel like I had been betrayed? Like everything I worked hard for, every sacrifice I made for this family, was simply thrown away—discarded because of this testament. After everything I did, it still wasn’t enough for him. He was choosing charity over his own children.I should have deserved it. So why was he doing this to me?I turned my gaze to my father, unconscious in his hospital bed.“Why are you doing this to me, Dad? Did you even think about me?”
Eloise’s POVI went home earlier than planned after visiting the orphanage. Sebastian had called, saying he needed to take care of something urgent. But I couldn’t rest. Not with Ophelia’s threats hanging over my head. I still had no idea where I could get the money they demanded. And deep down, I knew I didn’t want to give them a single cent. So, instead of drowning in anxiety, I poured my time into designing again. Paris was calling me back soon, and I wanted to have something fresh—new sketches, new pieces, new inspiration. After hours of working, I decided to head into Sebastian’s office. His shelves were lined with books, and since I had barely found time to read i
Sebastian’s POVI could sense it miles away. I could see it in her eyes. The way she moved, the way her voice lingered with false sweetness. It was her—Agatta. She was the reason why my father was lying in a hospital bed, fighting for his life.“We’ll know the truth, Seb. Don’t worry.”Eloise’s voice was soft, steady, almost as if she could hear the storm raging inside my head.I turned to her. The sunlight streaming through the car window illuminated her face, casting her in a serenity I couldn’t touch. She smiled at me with those innocent eyes, and for a heartbeat, I felt my chest ache.“I know,” I said tightly. “But I also don’t know how I can accept the truth when it comes
Someone’s POVAgatta and Angelo rushed out of the hospital after learning the truth about Salazar’s condition.Angelo couldn’t help but notice the sudden shift in his mother’s demeanor. While they were driving, she was already on her phone, speaking in a hushed but urgent tone.“Yes. Prepare everything. We’ll leave tonight,” Agatta said. She ended the call, slipped her phone into her bag, and stared out the window, biting her lip. Her face betrayed the urgency she was trying to conceal.Angelo frowned. “You’re leaving, Mom?”Agatta glanced at him briefly. “We are.”His eyes widened. “What? Dad’s still in the hospital, Mom! Why are we leaving now?”Agatta waved her hand dismissively. “No more questions, Angelo. Your things are already packed. There’s nothing for you to worry about.”Angelo blinked in disbelief, staring at her. How can she think of leaving now, when Dad is fighting for his life? His jaw clenched. Then the question slipped out before he could stop it.“Did you do it, Mom
