Someone’s POV – Years Ago

Young Sebastian stepped out of his father’s black car. He was only five years old then, far too young to fully grasp what was happening.

“Come on. Let’s go inside,” said Salazar Whitmore, Sebastian’s father.

Sebastian looked up at the building before him. It was much smaller than their mansion, and on top of it hung a large sign.

“Angel’s Orphanage,” he whispered.

Even with his young mind, he already had an idea of what an orphanage was. But why was he here? Why did his daddy bring him?

His gaze shifted to the playground where several children were laughing and playing. A small smile tugged at his lips. He had his own playground at home, but there was something heartwarming about seeing kids so full of joy.

“Sebastian!”

He looked up again. His father was already at the entrance, brow furrowed. Sebastian quickly followed him inside.

Even indoors, the place was filled with children. Some older than him, others his age. But what really caught his eye were the tw

Sebastian’s POVI couldn’t help but smile as I drove toward WMH. Every now and then, I’d glance at Eloise, who sat quietly in the passenger seat. Our hands were intertwined. She looked so beautiful, even in her simplicity. I couldn’t stop myself from occasionally bringing her hand to my lips and kissing it while I drove.“Aren’t your arms getting tired?” she asked.I looked at her—and she was smiling from ear to ear. It felt so good to see her smiling more often now.“Not at all,” I answered. “I think I’d rather lose feeling in my arms than let go of your hand.”She laughed softly and leaned her head against the window.“You’re ridiculous,” she whispered.“Only for you,” I replied without hesitation.A comfortable silence settled between us. I kept my eyes on the road, but I was also keenly aware of the warmth of her fingers laced with mine. That small touch was enough to ground me, to remind me that she was here. That we were okay now. When we reached the hospital parking lot, I help

Eloise’ POVThe plane had just touched down at the airport. The trip yesterday lasted almost fifteen hours. My limbs were already stiff, but I hardly noticed because of the man beside me.I smiled when I saw Sebastian’s eyes still closed. He really came with me back to the Philippines.I know I’m still keeping a few things from him. But it feels good—comforting—to know that now, our feelings for each other are finally clear. For the first time in my life, someone chose me… simply because I was me.Moments later, the pilot announced that we could begin to disembark. I tapped Sebastian’s cheek gently to wake him.He groaned and slowly opened his eyes.“We’re here,” I whispered.Sebastian smiled immediately, his eyes fixed on me.“If this is a dream, I don’t want to wake up.”I blinked, needing a second to process what he’d said—then I smiled and lightly smacked his arm.“You’re unbelievable! Stop sweet-talking and get up—we’re leaving!”He chuckled, the sound deep and warm.I turned awa

Sebastian’s POVI had just finished filing the case against Mildred. My lawyer told me the kidnapping charges here in Paris would proceed. She would be jailed for a few more days while arrangements for her transfer to the Philippines were being finalized.I never wanted this to happen. But I had no choice.Mildred would continue to be a threat to Eloise if I didn’t have her locked up.“Everything is ready, Mr. Whitmore,” Marcus said.He had flown in to join me in Paris and help handle the aftermath of everything that had happened. We had just stepped out of the station where Mildred was now being held and were walking toward the car in the parking lot.“Let me know when you’re heading back to the Philippines,” he added.I nodded. “Okay. I’ll call you. You can head back ahead of me.”“Yes, sir—”We both stopped walking as we neared the car.Marcus looked down at the phone in his hand.“I’ll just take this call, sir.”I nodded and waited beside the car.“Yes? Okay. I’ll inform him.”My

Eloise’s POVI sat in front of the empty chair. In front of me was a glass partition where I could see the person I was about to speak to on the other side of the room.I couldn’t stay still, having already sat there for several minutes. I tried to stop myself from overthinking. What if I break down when I see her? What if I lose it?I took a deep breath. I should relax.Even though I didn’t know what might happen, I needed to face her.A few moments later, the door on the other side of the room opened.I watched the woman in an orange suit enter. She was handcuffed, and a police officer followed behind her.She immediately smirked the moment she saw me through the glass. The officer guided her to sit across from me.“Wow… You came, huh?” she said, amused.I took another deep breath. I could still hear the loud pounding of my chest.“Why… Why did you do this, Mildred?” I asked. Her brows immediately furrowed. She placed her hands on the table and glared at me.“How many times do I hav

  • Falling In Love with my Cold Billionaire Husband   Chapter 88: Fall again

Eloise’s POVThe first thing I felt was the weight in my chest. Not pain—though there was a dull ache in my arms—but heaviness. As if my heart had been wrung out, then shoved back into my chest, bruised and sore.I opened my eyes slowly.Sterile white ceiling. Faint hum of machines. The scent of antiseptic.Hospital.A soft beeping beside me matched the rhythm of my pulse. I turned my head. There was an IV attached to my hand, my wrist wrapped in gauze. And then—“Eloise?”I blinked.Colette.She was sitting on the recliner, eyes wide and red-rimmed, her blazer wrinkled, her hair slightly out of place. She looked like she hadn’t slept.“You’re awake!” she whispered, standing up quickly and leaning over the bed. “Oh, my God—thank God.”My throat felt dry. “Water…”She reached for a cup and helped me sip through a straw. The cold water hit my throat like ice. I winced.“Do you remember what happened?” she asked gently.I nodded slowly. “The studio. Mildred. I…”Colette’s expression turn
