Chap 73: I started working on the plan.

On the way to the hospital, I called Nick to ask about Alan's health. Nick said that Alan was not only severely injured physically but mentally as well. Before Nick took Alan to the hospital, I figured that too. How could a five-year-old child endure that? I went through the same thing as Alan, so I know very well how horrible that feeling can be. To this day, it still haunts me. This will probably be challenging for Alan, Clyde, and me.

I raised my hand to rub my temples, my voice becoming heavy:

"Nick, help me find the best psychiatrist here to treat Alan when he's released from the hospital."

Nick quickly replied politely: "Yes ma'am."

After that, I continued to call Steven, and in less than a minute, I heard his familiar, warm voice ringing in my ears.

"I was going to call you, too. Is Alan OK?"

"You have read the news already. Maybe Alan needs both physical and psychological treatment."
