Chapter 53- Saddest Moment

Vera Anderson's POV

I went out of Royce's office feeling devastated. Everything seems dark like I was inside a tunnel where I could see no light, even just a dim light. I hurriedly ran to the elevator with tears dripping from my eyes. Ah, this is going to be my last time here. From now on, I promise to forget Royce and start a new life. The story between Royce and me is now over. And I don't want to remember anything from him. And even though I am carrying his child, still I don't know him. He is nothing but a worthless coward!

"I hate you, Royce...I promise, you will never see me again!", I said to myself while wiping my tears away. When I heard the ding sound of the elevator, I hurriedly got off.
