Ch 15: My father wants to meet you
Xasha was a prince. Technically, he's the king's younger brother's great-grandson. His mother had relinquished her title as a princess and married Xasha's father before he was born. So it is more accurate to say that Xasha had royal blood in him, but he was not a prince.

The sound of leather boots tapping against a hard work floor echoed in a long and empty hallway. Xasha kept looking at the walls that were covered in expensive-looking weapons, artifacts, and paintings. The King by his side introduced him to the more important pieces and ignored the rest. For the past two months, Xasha and Megan had been living in the imperial courtyard. The courtyard was not a palace, far from it actually. Well-dressed men and women descended those carriages and made their way inside the courtyard. These were all important guests from all over the continent, rich, powerful people, all putting on their most expensive clothes and riding in the most expensive carriages. Having the most beautiful date on their arm, this was a competition. There were even carriages on the backs of Giant Birds. They flew in and landed in style.
