Chapter 77: A Harrowing Secret

Orvyn's POV

"How is she?" I asked Emilia.

She went round the bed in Olive's former room with a bowl of greenish concoctions in her hand. The same mixture she'd been feeding Queen Latifah for the past three days. Her face had totally healed from the pummeling Olive pelted on it, but she still lay unconscious.

Olive and Princess Adelaide sat on either side of the bed, holding their mother's hand, physically distressed. Conrad and I stood side by side at the foot of the bed, comforting our mates when necessary in few words and subtle touches.

She dropped the half-filled bowl on the nightstand beside the bed, heaving deeply, dark circles under her eyes. "She's a fighter. She'll come out of it when she wants to."

Olive, who had understandably turned pale over the period turned to Emilia, "Are you trying to tell me you don't know when she'll open her eyes?" She climbed out of the bed and gripped Emilia's shoulder's, frightening the older woman. "Tell me, when will my mother be fully healed
