DAVE’S POV

The two weeks passed by so quickly. I quietly looked at Neah sleeping in her seat. We were already on the plane back to Albany. I couldn't help but sigh. I felt sad because we would no longer be living under the same roof. No one would be there to welcome me home after a long, exhausting day. I also wouldn't be able to spend every day and every night with Neah anymore.

I couldn't fall asleep even though it was already late at night. I simply watched Neah and Kaiden. I wished Cassandr

NEAH’S POVI heard what Kaiden said to Dave too. He wanted Dave to live with us, and I was caught off guard when Liam arrived, it looked like he had heard Kaiden's words as well. I quietly stood by the kitchen doorway.Liam walked over to Kaiden and picked him up. Just by the look on his face, I could tell he was angry.“Daddy Liam?” Kaiden uttered, as if he wasn't even happy to see him. Even I was confused. During our stay in France, I had grown close to Dave again, but we still weren't in a relationship. He only wanted to fix what we once had, and I still hadn't agreed to that.“What have you been telling the child? Are you teaching him what to say?” Liam angrily confronted Dave. Dave stood up as well to face him.“I never told him that, and can you please not get angry in front of the child?” Dave was more concerned about Kaiden's feelings, while Liam's anger over what he had heard from Kaiden had completely taken over.“That’s enough. If the two of you are planning to fight, don't

I wished Cassandra had made the project last a month instead, but no matter how long our project had been, it still wouldn't have been enough for me.I wanted to spend the rest of my life living in the same house with them. I wanted to watch Kaiden grow up with me by his side.My gaze settled on Kaiden, he had chosen to sleep beside me again, and he was sleeping soundly. I needed to talk to Chairman Sy as soon as possible so I could finally focus on fixing my relationship with Neah. For the past few days, I had

  • Falling for My Ex-husband Again   Chapter 78

DAVE’S POVMy heart was overflowing with happiness while I was with Neah and Kaiden. I had forgotten about my life in Albany, my problems, and all the stress. I just wanted to enjoy every single day with the two of them.My heart fluttered every time Kaiden called me Daddy. Even if he wasn't my biological son, even if we didn't share the same blood, I was happy to stand as his father.Neah continued working at the de Valois mansion. She only had one more piece of jewelry left to finish before she was done. Even though I no longer had anything to do, I still stayed by her side. I sat facing my iPad while reading the reports that had been sent to my email. The day passed quickly. Neah climbed into the car looking exhausted. As soon as I got in as well, I took her hands and carefully massaged them.“Do your hands hurt already?” I asked while continuing to massage them.I looked at her when she leaned her head against my shoulder. Her eyes were already closed. It felt so good to be with m

  • Falling for My Ex-husband Again   Chapter 77

NEAH’S POVIt was already nighttime, but we still hadn't gone back to the hotel. We just kept walking without knowing where our feet would take us. Dave was still carrying Kaiden. I glanced at my hand that Dave was holding. I didn't want him to hold my hand, but he never let go, so I just let him. We looked like a family simply enjoying our time in this country. The three of us were quiet, and it seemed Kaiden had already run out of energy because we'd been sightseeing for half the day.We had already eaten dinner, and since we didn't know where else to go, we simply kept walking. I knew all of this would eventually come to an end, and I couldn't stop myself from feeling sad.A dull ache settled in my heart knowing that we'd be leaving this country once our work was finished. I stared at Dave. He and Kaiden were walking ahead of me, yet he still hadn't let go of my hand. My dream had always been simple, to have our own family and for him to have time for us. But the family we dreamed

  • Falling for My Ex-husband Again   Chapter 76

DAVE’S POVAfter we finished eating, we headed straight to the Eiffel Tower. I was still carrying Kaiden even though my arms were already starting to ache. I'd only been spending time with him for a week, yet my arms already hurt from carrying him. How much more for Neah, who had been carrying Kaiden since he was a newborn?I couldn't help but regret everything that had happened between us. Ever since I lost her, it felt like everything I had achieved in life had also lost its meaning. What was the point of wealth and power if I was all alone?I let out a sigh as I remembered my last conversation with Chairman Sy. He wanted to push through with the arranged marriage between Cassandra and me. Cassandra refused to talk to her father because she had already agreed to the marriage they were planning for us.I couldn't marry her because I knew I would never be able to make her happy. She wasn't the woman my heart belonged to because Neah was still the only one I loved. When I was on the ve

  • Falling for My Ex-husband Again   Chapter 75

DAVE’S POVOnce we were all ready, we left the hotel. I was the one carrying Kaiden, and I was enjoying every single moment of it. I wished time would slow down, but I couldn't control that. I wasn't sure how long I would get to be this happy while I was with them. Once Neah finished her work, we'd be going back to Albany, something I wasn't ready to do yet.I wanted to spend more time with them and give both of them all the time I could. It felt like I needed to make it up to them, even though I wasn't Kaiden's father. Until now, I was still hoping, even if it was just the slightest chance, that I was his father. We got into the car, the three of us sitting together in the backseat. I sat in the middle because Kaiden loved looking out the window. I glanced at Neah, but she was doing the same thing, staring outside. When we arrived at the restaurant, I got out first before carrying Kaiden. I wished things could always be like this. We looked like a happy family simply enjoying our tim

NEAH’S POVRain hammered against the windows as I stared blankly at my phone screen. DAVE’S POVI wrapped up the meeting as quickly as I could. Glancing at the time, I knew I could still make it to mine and Neah’s anniversary celebration.
