University was more difficult than she had predicted. Revenge was now the least of her problems. It turned out that getting accepted into one of England’s most prestigious universities was the easy part. She had to socialise, keep up with the university work and traditions.

Clara stepped onto the grass outside the main university building intending to take a shortcut to her next lecture and every student in the vicinity turned to stare at her. She could tell from the look on their faces that she had done something wrong.

“No walking on the grass,” someone called out. "It's a tradition."

Clara hastily walked back onto the path and rushed to her next lecture with a red face.

“How was I supposed to know that I wasn’t supposed to step onto the grass in that area?” she complained quietly to Caiden.

“There was a nice clear sign telling you not to,” Caiden reminded her.
