The heavenly smell of pancakes filled the air but I knew it was nothing but a dream. A dream that felt so real but still felt too good to be true. Talking about dreams. Shit! I shouldn't be sleeping, it's a school day! I jerked out of my bed and checked the time on my phone. Shit! It's past 7am already. Wait. It's a Saturday? Phew! That means I get to catch a few more hours of sleep. I returned to sleep.

“Hey Love” I heard a husky voice say.

“Huh?” I replied, still sleepy. Wait. What?!? There's a man in my room. Am I getting robbed? I jumped out of bed in pure survival mode.

“Woah, woah, woah! Easy there Jet Li” Adonis said laughing, his hands raised in the air. A mockery of the threat I am to him.

“What...how...why are you in my house?” I asked.

“Now Love, did you have too much to drink last night?” He asked and I gasped.

“Did you sleep with me? You... You dog!!!” I screamed, throwing a pillow at him. He caught it mid air without even thinking or blinking.

“What?!?” He asked, obviously amused.

“Why are you shirtless?” I asked.

“Girl, get your ass out and come have breakfast. I have no idea what you're going on about.” He said.

“And while at it, you should pop a mint after brushing. You don't smell so good” He added walking out. I gasped and threw another pillow at him.

“I hate you!!!” I screamed. My mouth smells fresh like a bouquet of flowers in the morning. I don't know what he's talking about.

I brushed my teeth, washed my face and packed my hair in a ponytail and came out to see Adonis and Dylan eating pancakes. Adonis was having oats and Dylan had his with maple syrup.

“Dylan said you like yours with strawberries and grapes so here you go.” Adonis said while he pulled out a chair for me. I muttered a thank you as I sat.

“I have a morning shift Cait. I'll be back by noon. Nice boyfriend you've got” Dylan said getting up.

“He's not my boyfriend” I replied.

“Good, now I get to keep him. I could get used to breakfasts like this one” He said, grabbing his jacket. Adonis grinned like he had won a trophy.

“Bye guys” He said as he made to leave.

“Bye” Adonis and I said in unison and he left.

“You should put your shirt on” I said, stuffing my mouth with pancakes. They were so yummy. Like those your grandma would make.

“What? Does it make you want to sleep with me?” He asked with a smirk on his face.

“Eww, no. Why would I want to sleep with a whore?” I replied.

“A whore? That's rich considering the fact that you were the one throwing yourself at me last night after barely two shots” He said, a smirk still plastered on his gorgeous face. I nearly choked on my food. I started coughing.

“Shit!” He said and dashed to go get some water.

“Here” He said, handing me a glass of water which I downed in a matter of seconds.

“I would never do that” I croaked.

“You should stop talking” He replied, rubbing my back. The feeling of him touching my body drives me crazy.

“I'm fine” I said getting up and turning to leave before he pulled me to himself.

“Tutor me please” He whispered against my ear. My legs suddenly turned to cooked spaghetti and I wrapped my hands around his neck for support.

“I want you to teach me numbers.” He whispered, nibbling on my earlobe.

“I'll teach you a number of things too. Every single thing you asked for last night and more…only if you let me of course.” He added.

“What…what did I ask?” My croaked voice managed to ask.

“Want me to show you?” He asked. His voice dangerously low. I nodded, before I could think.

His strong arms lifted me off the ground and I wrapped my legs around his waist. He moved like I weighed nothing. A strong man. That's so sexy.

He laid me carefully on the bed.His eyes had darkened with desire.

I wanted him. I wanted him so bad. He dropped slow, teasing kisses on my neck, on my ears, nibbling on the lobe. I felt his hand creep under my shirt and I gasped, arching my back. He wrapped the hand around my waist and pulled me closer. I moaned softly, digging my nails into his back.

Then suddenly, he pulled back.

He stood beside the bed, his lips curled in a sinful smirk.

"Tell me" He whispered, voice low and lethal

“Who's the whore now?”

  • Falling for the principal's son   CHAPTER 27: Decisions

I watched Adonis storm into the library, his eyes scanning the room like he was searching for something he had already decided to destroy. Students fell silent as he passed their tables, his presence heavy, his jaw clenched so tight it looked painful. Then his eyes landed on me.He walked toward me with long, angry strides. I had never seen him like this before...not joking, not smiling, not even trying to hide the fire burning in his eyes.“We need to talk,” he said sternly.Every pair of eyes in the library turned to us.My hands trembled as I packed my books quietly, avoiding the stares, avoiding the questions I knew were already forming in people’s minds. I followed him out without a word. He barely gave me an option.Halfway down the hallway, Adonis suddenly kicked a trash can across the floor. The loud crash echoed through the empty corridor, making me flinch.“He does not get to do this. Not to you!” he snapped, running his hands through his hair. “It’s one thing when he threat

  • Falling for the principal's son   CHAPTER 26: Pain

CHAPTER 26The weekend I once longed for, I suddenly couldn't wait for the end of it. It was just Saturday but it felt like the weekend had been stretched into seven days already with my phone constantly buzzing with messages from Adonis, every one of them completely ignored. I stayed in my room all day, cleaning and rearranging my bookshelf. I took a long bath and came to watch a movie but every romantic scene just reminded me of him.The way the male character held her. The way she looked at him. All of it. Urgh!I went out to grab some cereal since I was not in the mood for actual food.“Hey, you okay?” Dylan asked as soon as I stepped out. His voice laced with concern and his eyes heavy with worry. “Yeah, I'm fine” I lied.“Did Adonis do something?” He asked.“No. He didn't. I'm just tired” I answered. He nodded and went back to his laptop. He knew I was lying but he also knew I just needed some time to myself. My phone buzzed again and again and again and I picked it up, frus

  • Falling for the principal's son   CHAPTER 25: Torn

“Caitlin Graham, your presence is needed at the principal's office.”The voice crackled through the intercom, sharp and unavoidable. It sounded like judgment.I felt my heart dropped straight into my stomach. It was the final class of the week, the last period before freedom, before I could escape this building and its suffocating hallways for two whole days. I had been counting the minutes, already planning what I’d do once I got home. A long shower. A quiet evening. Maybe even a movie. But just like that, everything came crashing down. The room went silent for half a second before the whispers started.I felt eyes on me instantly. Some curious. Some judgmental. A few amused. A couple of quiet laughs followed, and my cheeks burned as I slowly gathered my things. My hands felt clumsy, like they had been treated with melted butter and I had to pick up glass balls. So this was it.The rumors had finally reached him.I kept my head down as I walked out of the classroom, pretending not to

  • Falling for the principal's son   CHAPTER 24: Rumors and whispers.

All of a sudden, it felt like eyes were on me with every single move I made.In the library, people pretended to read while secretly glancing in my direction. In class, whispers followed me from one desk to the next. Even in the cafeteria, where everyone was usually too busy arguing over fries or gossiping about tests, I could feel the stares.Everywhere.It was suffocating. At first, I tried to convince myself I was just being paranoid. That maybe I was imagining the looks, the giggles, the way conversations suddenly went quiet whenever I passed by. But then I heard it.“Did you see the video?”“That’s her.”“Wow, she really pulled Adonis?”My stomach dropped.A video of Adonis and I having a picnic on the field had leaked. Not just to one or two people but to practically the whole school. Someone had filmed us laughing, sitting close, sharing food like we were some sort of couple in a rom-com.And now everyone had opinions. Some people were saying we were officially in a relationship

  • Falling for the principal's son   CHAPTER 23: Suspicions

Chapter 23“I’m so sorry for how I’ve been lately,” I said, my fingers nervously twisting the hem of my pajama top. “I’m sorry I’ve been spending more time with Adonis and it’s...”“It’s fine,” Ash said, cutting me off before I could finish. She pulled me into a quick, tight hug like none of it even mattered. Her hair smelled like coconut oil and perfume. The same way it always did.But something in my chest still felt heavy.“So,” she continued, pulling away and flopping onto my bed like she owned the place, “what have you and the principal’s son been up to lately? Sneaking into school at night to bump genitals?”I froze. My mouth opened, but no sound came out.“Huh? Wh… what do you mean?” I finally asked.Ash didn’t even look at me. Her attention was fully on her phone, thumbs flying across the screen. A grin spread across her face, followed by a little giggle.“Ash?” I called. She glanced up. “What?”“Nothing,” I said quickly, turning back to my open notebook. But my mind wasn’t on

  • Falling for the principal's son   CHAPTER 22: Timeouts, texts and threats.

“Andddd timeout!!” Adonis yelled, his voice echoing across the empty court as the ball rolled to a lazy stop near the bleachers.I looked up from where I was sitting on the cold wooden floor, my back pressed against the wall, knees tucked to my chest. He jogged toward me, sweat darkening the collar of his shirt, his curls sticking to his forehead. He was grinning -wide, careless, free. He’d been like this a lot lately.Happier.Ever since he started sneaking off to practice at night, he’d been lighter somehow. Like something heavy had finally loosened its grip on him. Two weeks ago, he’d been tense, snapping at little things, constantly worrying about whether he was good enough, fast enough, strong enough. Now, he laughed more. He smiled without forcing it.And maybe...just maybe it was because this place felt like it belonged to him again.“Good job!” I said, clapping my hands together as I stood up, smiling back at him.He slowed to a stop right in front of me, breathing hard, hand
