“Pick up your things. We’re leaving,” Adonis said, appearing beside me so suddenly that I was startled.

“Well hello to you too,” I muttered and he rolled his eyes.

“I don’t have the time for your sass today.” He said, pulling me along with him towards the exit.

“Wait. I still have one class left,” I protested, trying to stop him and failing because he was ridiculously strong.

“French with Mr. Jon?” he asked without looking back. “He owes me. He'll cover for us”

He paused and turned to me, a wicked grin on his face.

“Now, if you don’t quit fighting me, I swear I’ll throw you over my shoulder and carry you out. Comport yourself, sweetheart. I’m trying to show you what life is supposed to feel like”
