In the next few days, Christopher came to visit me on time.

I enjoyed his kindness to me with peace of mind, and sometimes I even had to hold his hand to fall asleep. Every time I woke up to the empty room, I would sigh silently.

A week later, Christopher was making my favorite mashed potatoes in the kitchen.

I stared at him for a while and said softly, "My cold is gone."

His head was lowered as he peeled the potatoes. "Okay."

The mashed potatoes were served soon, but I didn't have the appetite to eat them. I poked my food around silently and asked, "You... Will you come tomorrow?"

Christopher handed some food to me and said, "Yes."

I stopped eating and sat upright, as if I had made a decision. I asked, "Have you found what you are looking for?"

Christopher didn't expect me to ask that, and a trace of surprise flashed in his eyes.

I endured my sorrow and didn't dare to look at him.
