Falling in Love with my Enemy

General POV

"Jer, are you going somewhere"? Magnus asked as he saw Jeremy all set to go out in his white tee with black jeans and jacket. He was kind of in hurry. Grabbing his bike keys he totally ignored Magnus, who was sitting on the couch working on his laptop. 

He stopped on his tracks, clenching his fists. 

"It’s Jeremy for you. I haven’t allowed you to call me Jer. And how many times I have told you, whatever I do, wherever I go, it’s none of your business. You may have bought the company, taking the highest bid to show off your wealth, but mind you Magnus Prescott, you cannot buy me. I am not one of the show pieces decorating your palace. So next time, don’t mind my business. Yeah?” Jeremy turned to leave but his wrist was grabbed. He faced a smiling Magnus. 

Magnus removed a fringe of hair almost stuck in his eyes, fixed his jacket before looking into his eyes. 

"Jer, baby, I never took you as a piece of decoration. Or something that I bought, because honestly baby, no piece of money can ever buy my Jeremy Royce Prescott. You are so expensive baby.

And yes I have all the rights to meddle in your business because you are my lawfully wedded husband. Even if we want it this way or not, still we are married baby. This is something I can’t do anything about. But yes, I love taking care of you; I love being concerned about you. I love you, Jeremy". He was looking at him warmly. 

Only if Jeremy's heart wasn’t stone cold. He stubbornly shook himself off his grip. It didn’t matter if Magnus was telling truth. Still. He didn’t want to believe it or admit it. 

"Whatever. If you want to poke your nose in my matters, welcome to hell". With that he pushed him away a bit and left their home. 

Magnus heard his sports bike coming to life before the sound fades away. Magnus sighed before messaging his men to take care of his husband as he would be wasted in alcohol soon. He knew Jeremy has gone to pick Olivier and then crash the bar till late. Not that he ever stopped him, but there was a little hole in his chest that burnt always when Jeremy would leave him for his ex.  

It was 1 in the night and Magnus was still waiting for his men to inform him about Jeremy, when he finally got a location from one of his men. He grabbed his keys and fled off. The bar was a top notch in the area, not much far away. He entered the bar and saw one of the bodyguards nodding his head in Jeremy's direction who was clearly wasted drunk. Why was he alone? His brows frowned a bit. Wasn’t Jeremy with Olivier? Where was he? 

He looked around only to find the famous shorty making out with his NOW BOYFRIEND. He clucked his tongue in disapproval. It was the reason he always forbade Jeremy to date Olivier because he caught him lot many times before, but Jeremy didn’t believe him ever. So this time Magnus made sure to shoot the video to show it to his husband when he will be sober. 

Not even bothering to spare a glance towards Olivier, he picked Jeremy in his arms and left the bar. He was worried and upset but mostly in pain. He loved him, a lot. Since the beginning. But today, he wasn’t even his friend.

Magnus POV

"Magnus, the staff has asked the previous Moon of the campus to help with the juniors". Jeremy came in the engineering cafeteria and sat down with a huff beside me. 

"So what’s the matter"? I racked his hair as he placed his head on my shoulder. I was sitting with my friends about some Hazing activity. And they knew now I couldn’t focus on anything but Jeremy. He is my friend since long. And maybe, just maybe I love him too. But i never told him. I don’t want to lose my friend. So i buried my feelings deep within me. 

"You know i get bored, Mag". He mumbled and I smiled. I know him. 

"Do you want me to go with you"? I said and his mood instantly lit up.

"You are the best Mag. So I will pick you at 4 after your last lecture and then we will go together okay? Bye Mag. I love you". He quickly ran smiling wide and I laughed too. He is a little kid sometimes. 

I turned to face my friends and lowered my gaze. I know what they are looking. And I simply have no answer to it. It’s been years they are asking me to confess my feelings rather than sulking and getting hurt over how popular Dr. Jeremy Royce is. Yes he is studying medical. 

He is perfect. He has the smoothest pale white skin and height. He is drop dead gorgeous, so handsome. A straight ‘A’ student. Multitalented. He is always helpful. And that makes everyone fall for him. Even I do.

My friends say I am hot too. I am Bi. I like girls, boys, everyone. But no string attached. My heart only yearns for Jeremy. 

"What"? I tried to sound confident in front of Lam. 

"Nothing much. It’s just the new candidate for the Moon of Faculty is Jeremy’s junior from high school. And he had a huge crush on his senior. Apparently Jeremy is unaware till now. But…" Lam said and my heart shattered. 

Jeremy did tell me once about a nerd junior who liked him. And he was looking for him. What if this time Jeremy replied his love? I was feeling uneasy. Even panicked at the thought. 

"Magnus, at least tell him once. You can’t hold your feelings in a fear of rejection. May be he likes you too". This time Park stood up and left the cafeteria for his next class. 

Well I have also a class. But I am no more attending. I am waiting for 4pm for Jeremy to pick me up. I will tell him everything today. 

I promised myself.

General POV

Jer was on time. His car honked and no one needed to turn. By now everyone is familiar with the Black Bentley parked at the Engineering Parking lot. 

"Hop in Head Hazer". Jer winked and Magnus laughed. They reached the main hall in no time. Students were practicing. The hall was echoing with claps, singing competitions. Dance practices. 

Jeremy was the last year Moon of his Medical Faculty and the campus too. Magnus was the runner up. Still he was very popular among his seniors and juniors. The hot sexy terrifying Head Hazer. 

They both took the seats after a brief introduction and AWWWSSS OOOOOOSSS. 

Jeremy was called for pictures on request, while Magnus was having good time with the rest of two members in the Doctors Gang, Beam and Kit. Jeremy's classmates and friends. And it took a lot of hard work for Magnus to make Jeremy realize that Beam and Kit were boyfriends. 

"You are laughing here. Useless". Jeremy was sulking when he slumped on the chair beside him. 

"Well the Previous Moon is still so in demand that no one cares about the new moons". Magnus ruffled his hair. 

"Hey Jer, look". Suddenly Kit shook his shoulder and he lazily followed his pointed finger.

A boy was dancing in the middle of all competitors. He was white. Like Jer. But he was short. Most probably he would reach his chest as Jeremy was no doubts 183cm. And Magnus was too missing just a couple centimeters. The petite boy had glasses on. He was cute, innocent. 

Jeremy didn’t realize he was standing, watching him without even blinking. 

Magnus didn’t understand why he was behaving like this. He turned to Beam who was smirking. 

"He is the junior from high school and he had a crush on Jeremy. But one day he overheard us where Jeremy straight out declined us that he was into Men. That was the last day of high school. And Jeremy didn’t see his junior again until now". Beam pointed with his chin.

"Jeremy likes him"? Magnus asked him trying to control the pain in his heart. Oh god please Beam flat out rejects. But no. 

"Yes he does. He was confused about his feelings. He thought we would judge him being gay. Stupid Jer. Kit lets go cheer for our Junior". Beam pulled Kit with him to the center. 

No one noticed a broken Magnus leaving the hall silently. 

He was in the bar, taking a seat at the counter. He lost the count of shots he took. Lam looked over his wasted friend. Well not wasted because Magnus had a high Alcohol tolerance level. 

"How long are you gonna mop Magnus". Park held the glass in his hand, and for once he didn’t fight back. 

"He is in love with his junior, Lam". Some tears slipped his eyes. Lam felt a pang in his heart. 

Magnus was said to have a heart of stone. Nothing and no one could melt him except that doctor. Only Dr. Jeremy got to see the soft side of Magnus Prescott. And now unknowingly he was the cause Magnus was crying. 

"Lam. Please take me to the dorm". He stood up followed by Lam and Park. They both took him in their car to his dorm.

"Need anything Magnus". Lam asked but he excused. 

"Lam. Call my sick tomorrow. I want to stay alone for a while. Please. Also if Jeremy asks, tell him I went home". He requested his friends and pulled the duvet not even bothering to change. 

"Magnus at least take a bath. You reek of alcohol. You will feel bad in the morning". Park tried. He knew Magnus would feel uncomfortable. 

"I will take a bath later. Thank you guys. I owe you". He closed his eyes turning off the table lamps. Lam and Park looked at each other and left the room locking the door behind.

Magnus sat up once he heard the door locked. He let the tears lose. Lam was right. He was late. He was coward. He lost Jeremy before even declaring his feelings just because he was scared of rejection. 

"Damn, Magnus you idiot". He screamed in his pillow. His voice muffled. Just then he heard his phone buzzing. 

The screen was blinking JER CALLING. He didn’t know how long the phone rang until it was silent and dark, just like his heart. He switched off the phone, took the cigarette case and lighter and went to the balcony. He wanted to be alone.

Jeremy POV

"What the hell". I exclaimed in shock. It was like my tenth call in a row to Magnus. It rang for the first time, left unattended by him and since then it was directed to his voice box. And it never, I repeat, never happened that Magnus didn’t attend my call. I was worried the moment I turned back to break the news to Forth that I found my junior back. 

It was a real emotional time when I declared my feelings in front of everyone for Olivier, proposing him to be my boyfriend. And now I want my friend, Magnus to be with me. But he was nowhere to be found.

Even his phone was not reachable. 

"Jer what is it"? Beam asked me and I was short of words. 

"Jeremy… Is there any problem"? This time my cutie pie asked and I couldn’t help but smile.

"It’s nothing, Olie. Let’s have our dinner". I mentally slapped myself and made a mental note to visit Magnus in the morning. 

The dinner went longer than expected. But I was happy with Olie. Still there was a part of me that was empty. I wished to have Magnus too with me, celebrating.

I parked my car at my spot in Engineering Parking trying to reach Magnus but again it was put on voice box. 

I was about to step out when my phone chimed. I hurried to see but it was Olie.

"Hello Olie". I smiled taking the call.

"Jeremy, I am at your faculty for lunch. Where are you"? He whined and I sighed.

"I will be there soon, Olie". Guess I can’t go see Magnus today. The time was running out and I had to eat lunch with my pumpkin. 

The day ended boringly. I dropped Olie to his dorm before heading for Magnus's room. 

I had the key to his room so I was praying he is there or else I would have to wait for him. 

Taking the elevator to the 6th floor i was standing at the front of his door.

These were first more than 18 hours without seeing or talking to him. And now my chest was pounding as my Heart was beating frantically and uneasily. 

I clicked the key in the keyhole and turned the knob to find it open. 

"Phew". I was relieved. I stepped in but...

"Magggg".
