Parker's POV
Pain. That was the first thing I felt as soon as I woke up that morning. My soft king-sized bed did little or nothing to ease the many aches I was having all over my body.
The ache was due to the fact that I had gotten into a fight again, the third within the week and had to sleep in the police cell uncomfortable bed till my mom came to bail me out. I couldn't help it, it was all a part of me.
I couldn't stand and watch people throw insults at my family just because we were victims of circumstance. What befell us wasn't our fault. My dad just needed something, anything else that could better our lives.
I couldn't and wouldn't blame him for that because he never knew we would get swindled. Even though we lost everything back in the states, we were not deterred because if there was one thing we had, it was hope. Hope that everything will get better and hope that one day, we would recover all we'd lost.
I blinked slowly, trying to get my eyes used to the early morning sunlight that streamed through the curtains. It was a brand new day, another day to avoid everything and everyone well except one girl, Amanda.
Ever since I got to Stars High, Amanda intrigued me like no one else. The look of innocence and fierceness I saw in her was what drew me to her that fine morning. Though she might like to act all innocent and gentle but I could see a raging fire within her that would come out one day.
No matter how much I tried to get her off my mind, she still kept coming back and when she did, it just seemed like she was a new entity, someone I'd never seen before.
I yawned, stretching languidly on my bed but that proved to be a mistake because with it came with several aches. I groaned, rising up to sit on my bed.
The weather was a bit cool and I loved it. Ever since I got here, LA weather has been a mixture of hot and cold. I never slept with a shirt on, never ever no matter how cold the weather was. Instead, I would cover myself with a blanket so thick I would end up discarding it.
Times without number, my mom had complained that I would catch a cold but I would never listen because I was damn too stubborn.
Amanda. That name filled my mind yet again. I didn't know if it was love I felt for her but one thing was sure, I was attracted to her. Come to think of it, who wouldn't? She was the star girl, loved by all well except Ian and his friends but I knew they were just jealous and the only way they could show her was by bullying her.
That was something I wouldn't stand for. I would never stand back and watch them hurt her in anyway. Sometimes, when I looked at her, I just wanted to hold her like a baby and protect her from the outside world.
"What are you doing to me Amanda?"
I sighed, rubbing my eyes to get out the remaining sleep. It was another school day and another day to face the teachers who all thought I was a bully.
"Parker, wake up. It's time for school." My mum yelled.
Being an only child, she took care of me so well and it was only a miracle I wasn't a spoilt brat like some of the other kids I've seen. Dad was out as usual, trying to fix the many leaks we had in our lives. What happened to us broke him, I can tell and it was just our unity that made him strong.
"I'm up mom." I said.
I sighed yet again, rising to my feet. I needed to get to school on time if I didn't want to be late. The distance from my house to the school was a bit far and the earlier I got there, the better for me.
I took my bath, welcoming the icy cold water that cascaded down my body. It was a relief from the aches I was feeling. There was just something about cold water that just had the ability to calm you down.
I dressed up quickly before stepping out of my room. I've never been one to bother so much on what I wore. As far as I was comfortable, I was fine with that.
"Hi Mom, good morning." I said, kissing my mother on the cheek.
She was currently sat at the dining table, sipping a hot cup of coffee. Try as I may, I couldn't quite understand how she drank coffee without milk or sugar. It was all black.
"Good morning love. Did you sleep well?" She smiled.
Her hair, the color of a setting sun was tied in a loose ponytail. My mother was a beautiful woman and it was no secret that I got most of my looks from her. I got my height from my dad and both combination had girls chasing after me, girls who thought they loved me when it was just a mere infatuation.
"Yes mom, I did. Dad's out?" I asked.
I dished out a healthy portion of pancake on my plate, coming over to sit on the chair opposite her. I dug in, reveling in the taste and pleasure it brought.
"Yeah, he is." She said.
She was scrolling through her phone, no doubt looking through the recent trends across the country. Since we moved to LA she was lucky to have seen a job working as a writer for one of the biggest news agency in the state.
Writing was something that came to my mom effortlessly. She did it with so much dexterity that at times, I begin to wonder if she was human.
"Darling, when you're heading home later today, I need you to branch the Mart for some tomatoes. I want to make some spaghetti later." She smiled, looking up from her phone.
She knew spaghetti and meatballs were my favorite. I could actually eat that a whole week without getting tired, it was just something I loved.
"Sure Mom." I said, rising up to my feet.
I washed my plate immediately because I knew how much my mom hates seeing dirty plates in the sink.
"Be good and please Parker for the love of God, stay out of trouble. I don't want to bail you again, yesterday was a nightmare on it's own." She sighed.
She knew all about my fights and when she came to bail me from the police station yesterday, I've never felt so relieved. My Mom covered up for me when my Dad took notice of the wounds where they were visible.
"Mom, you know I don't go about looking for trouble." I chuckled, grabbing my bag.
She rolled her eyes before moving her attention back to what she was reading on her phone. I kissed her head, smiling before walking out of the house.
It was another day and I really hoped everything went well especially with me and the girl I was beginning to fall in love with.
''Thank you.'' Parker said.Amanda who had been in the middle of waking up and sleeping yawned as she opened her eyes. She had just had the best sex ever and she knew that in time to come, she would never forget any of this. Parker made her feel like a woman, a woman who was dignified and not like those other women men used, stories she had heard from her friends.''For what?'' Amanda asked.''For starters, for doing this with me. I know you can easily get your pick from all the numerous men out there but you chose me. That means something to me.'' Parker smiled. He moved closer to her, taking her warm hands in his. He couldn't quite believe he had a beautiful woman in his bed. It all seemed like a dream but Parker knew it was no dream, it was real. As real as it could get.''You don't have to thank me. I love to be with you just as you are to me so no need to thank me. All we have to figure out now is how to manage this without letting anyone else know about it.'' Amanda said.Parker
"How do you feel baby?"Amanda asked. It's been a few days since Parker was attacked and to say he made a speedy recovery would be an understatement, it was amazing. At the beginning, when it first happened, Amanda had her doubts whether he would recover but at the end, he not only surprised her but everyone who knew.Jamie and Amanda both knew that it was his strength that saved him but at the same time, Parker was so strong on his own that nothing could actually hurt him."I'm okay baby, you don't need to worry about me. I told you to stop asking about me, I'm more concerned about you. Tell me darling, how do you feel?" Parker asked. That was just one thing about him. Even though he was in pains, he would still make sure she was alright. That was the kind of man she loved and Amanda was quite glad she got him."Asides being scared that you might not make it, I'm okay over all." She smiled.Parker leaned closer to her, giving her a warm kiss on her lips. This was the best moment for t
‘’The Dremis’s have sought for outside help.’’ Aliyah began. If Lucas was surprised to hear this, he hid it well. For a group not so grounded as the Dremis’s, he had a feeling that they might likely have sought outside help. Now, it was happening and he didn’t know what to make of it. ‘’Wow! Really, wow!’’ Lucas said.‘’I know, that was my initial expression when he told me this.’’ Aliyah said. With those words, she had committed herself and she knew it was best for her to tell him everything at that moment because he would never stop until he found out what she really meant by those words.‘’Diabla, what do you mean?’’ Lucas asked.Aliyah sighed, taking a deep breath. She didn’t want to be seen as a traitor. Even though she was the head and could do as she pleases, her loyalty still remained with her group and she would rather die than compromise that.‘’I lied when i told you i went to see the accident victim.’’ Aliyah said.‘’I knew you were lying but I just didn’t know where you
Lucas was getting ready to leave his office when he received a call from Aliyah. He had been expecting her call and he was quite glad when he saw her name flash on his screen. Ever since his first kidnap, he had also been very careful on how he moved about. He didn't want to do anything that would cause her pain or put himself in a position that wasn't good at all. He needed to be careful now because a baby, his child, was also in the picture.Lucassmiled broadly and picked it up. He heared gushes from her as she thanks him for the dress. He knew she was going to do this but still, he was surprised at how enthusiastic she sounded. This just told him that she actually appreciated the gift and within him, he planned to give her more gifts as the day went by.''Hey baby, I see you like your new dress.'' he smiled.''Aliyah, I not only like it, I love it. Thank you so much.'' Aliyah gushed. She had always been a sucker for pretty dresses and anytime anyone gifted her one, she never faile
"Oh my gosh! No no no. It's not going through." Aliyah said. She had been trying to mind link Lucas ever since but the damn server was being distrusted by something or someone. It was very frustrating to say the least."Oh my gosh! What's going on? Where's Lucas?" Aliyah asked, pacing about. She gripped her phone in her hands, pacing about with tears streaming down her eyes. If anything were to ever happen to Lucas, Aliyah knew she'd never forgive herself nor him because she had warned him not to go anywhere but his stubbornness and insistence to go had caused him a whole lot."What's happening?" She asked.Patrick rushed in at that moment, panthing in her normal form. Aliyah had called her when she couldn't get a hold of Lucas because in that moment, she knew it was only Patrick that could calm her down."You still haven't gotten a hold of him?" Patrick asked, morphing back to her normal form."No and the worst part of it all is that the mind link seems to be scrambled somehow." Aliy
"Babe, I need to get to another town this evening. I need to pick up something from my office there." Lucas said. It was early in the morning, with the birds singing in the air and the morning animals chirping in the forests round about them. It was also the day of the anniversary, the day when both Aliyah and Lucas would be in their strongest form. "You realize what day it is today right?" Aliyah asked. Lucas knew but still, he knew he had to take the trip. It was very important not only to him but to the entire company and he wouldn't trade it for anything else. "This is important to me Aliyah, you've got to understand." He said Aliyah didn't know what was more important than staying home when he clearly knew that going out on a anniversary day was not a good decision. "Can't it wait till the following day?" Aliyah asked. "It honestly can't. If I could, I wouldn't bother going today." Lucas said. Aliyah thought about it and judging from the look in his eyes, she knew it had
