Chp 13 Pt. 3 Scout Leader

I feel like I haven’t seen Maliyah in days since she started working with the scouts. I know the scouts have been sent out on a mission about five days ago but Maliyah still has been keeping herself busy with school work and training.

She’s been doing well in her studies now that she has this scout job to focus on. Maliyah knows that if her grades slip she will no longer be allowed to help. Today Maliyah and I were suppose to be training but I have other plans.

“Hey mom, I’m ready for training.”

“Go change into something casual.”

“Why?”

“We aren’t training today. We are going somewhere else.”

She gives me a quizzical look before heading upstairs to change. I lead her outside and have her get in my old Jeep. I know we can afford better cars but this was the Jeep my parents purchased from Thierry and I can’t bring myself to get rid of it.
