Chapter 16

POV Zeke

I grabbed Willa's hand and drug her back to the lunchroom while I thought about what had just happened. I wasn't paying attention when I left the bathroom and let Ivan get the jump on me. It was my fault but I was sure that I would have been able to get out of it.

I was surprised when Willa jumped in to help me. I wasn't expecting that from her and I was a bit touched that she was loyal to me. When he grabbed her and threatened her, I saw red. I may not be the strongest brother but I'm still her brother. She's still my baby sister. NO ONE hurts her! I would happily kill someone before allowing that to happen.

As we walked into the lunchroom door, I stopped and looked her over.

"Are you okay? Did he hurt you? Let me see your arm where he grabbed you." I said frantically.

She looked at me in shock as I gently took her arm and looked it over. I cringed when I saw the red mark that was sure to bruise on her.
