Chapter 6

Kael walked into the room, a bit shocked.

But like always, his face didn’t show it.

He paused at the doorway, cold eyes sweeping the space that reeked of heat and desperation. Then his gaze landed on Zeil who was on the floor, half-curled, clothes clinging to flushed skin, hands pressed between trembling thighs.

It didn’t take a genius to know what this was but Keal remained expressionless.

Kael’s eyes didn’t soften. He leaned on one foot and let out a slow whistle, dry and empty. “Oh wow,” he said sarcastically. “Here goes the almighty Alpha. Wanking and touching himself in his room”.

Zeil froze.

Still in shock. Still trembling.

His wolf whimpered inside, confused, humiliated, desperate. His eyes locked on Kael, wide and filled with fear not the kind that begged for safety, but the kind that begged for secrecy.

Kael took another step in.

Zeil’s hand remained in place, cupping himself in shame, trying to hold back the scent that filled the entire room. The sharp tang of suppressed heat. The sweet ache of an omega's scent gone wild.

And that was the moment.

That was when it hit Kael.

Zeil wasn’t an alpha.

He was an omega.

Pretending.

Zeil’s breath caught.

He knew.

Kael knew.

And just like that, the thoughts stormed through Zeil’s head. What should I do? What should I say? Should I report to Father? No—no, no. He’ll kill me. He’ll skin me alive. Everything revolving around Doomsday will become of me.

He stared at Kael like a child caught with a broken plate. Like someone whose whole life just shattered in one loud silence.

His wolf curled inside him, small and afraid.

Kael’s eyes swept across the room, lingering on the thin stick still between his lips just a blade of grass with two tiny leaves dangling. A ridiculous thing to hold during a moment like this guess what, but somehow, that tiny leaf seemed to mock Zeil’s whole life.

His face burned hotter, if that was even possible.

Still crouched low, still trying to cover his body.

Kael raised an eyebrow. “Well,” he said, tone light like none of this mattered, “guess everything looks... good here.” He turned to leave.

Zeil panicked, His fingers shot forward and gripped the hem of Kael’s shirt.

It wasn’t a strong grip. It wasn’t even a firm one. But it stopped Kael in his tracks like lightning had hit him.

The touch…It was soft. Feather-light. Like being touched by wind. Like being touched by something sacred. Something forbidden.

He turned slowly.

And there, still on the floor, was Zeil's face tilted up, eyes glistening, lips parted. A flush on his cheeks, skin glowing like warm moonlight. His back arched just slightly, the line of it glowing faintly. His scent, once bitter from rage, now dripped with sweetness and vulnerability. His eye balls looked like a helpless creature caught in the moonlight.

He tried to close his legs, but his body disobeyed. His wolf whimpered again, begging for something Zeil refused to name. His whole body ached.

Keal pulsed, he couldn’t move.

Couldn’t speak.

The heat rolled from Zeil in waves.

The scent of his omega heat. The scent that should never have existed in this house. In this pack. In this world where male omegas were legends. Myths. Sins.

Zeil opened his mouth to speak.

But Kael beat him to it.

“C’mon, dude,” Kael said sharply, dragging his shirt from Zeil’s fingers. “I heard noises in here. I thought someone was attacking you. That’s the only reason I came in. I don’t care what you do with your own damn hand.”

Zeil blinked, stunned by his cold tone.

Kael nodded toward the bed. “I hope you forgive me. But now that I’ve confirmed you’re just fine and... very busy,” he added with a smirk, “I’ll go back to keeping watch like the proper guard I was forced to be.”

He turned again, but paused.

“I didn’t know you were sick.”

Zeil frowned with a bit of confusion too.

Sick?

Kael pointed toward the edge of the bed using the thin stick between his fingers. “Your pills are laying there like forgotten candy. Looks like you haven’t been taking them. On top of that, you train like a damn machine”.

He gestured lazily as he placed the grass stick back in his mouth. “Keep that up and your body’s going to fall apart.”

Zeil followed his gaze, eyes widening when he saw the forgotten silver case peeking from under the sheet.

That’s when it happened.

Something in Zeil’s face shifted.

Like someone flicked a switch.

His lips parted in surprise, then sealed shut. His wolf seemed to vanish for a moment. That dazed omega scent dimmed immediately.

Kael felt the change immediately. His shirt slipped from Zeil’s hand.

The magic broke.

And Zeil just stared at him.

Expression unreadable. Still seated. Still sweating. But calmer now but with his face flushed a beautiful, humiliating red.

Kael gave a dry laugh. “Well, guess His Royal Highness will kindly release my clothes now so I can get back to being the ‘proper guard’ you wanted me to be.”

No response.

Zeil just let go.

His eyes didn’t follow Kael this time.

But Kael still watched him as he walked out. Watched the way Zeil curled into himself again. How his breathing slowed, but not in peace.

The door clicked shut.

Kael stood outside for a second.

He let out a long breath and leaned against the wall.

Inside, Zeil didn’t move.

Didn’t speak, didn’t cry.

He was frozen again. His body still pulsed with the echoes of Kael’s scent. The memory of his voice, deep and taunting. The way his eyes had devoured him, even for a second. The tension in his chest curled tighter, then lower into his stomach, into his thighs.

His hands curled into fists, the heat still hadn’t faded.

If anything, it worsened.

Zeil’s back arched involuntarily. His thighs slid apart. He gasped, one hand flying to his mouth to stifle the whimper that escaped him. Slick trickled again. His shirt stuck to his chest, nipples hard, hair damp with sweat.

He wanted to scream.

His wolf was howling inside, clawing at his ribs, demanding release. Demanding to be taken. To be filled.

“No,” he whispered. “No. No, not like this.”

At that moment it seemed like the pills went into effect immediately. He didn't feel any urge or sexual tension or anything of such but then his face turned dead red, his eyes burning like brimstone , anger erupted like a volcano that had been preparing to erupt for years.

Kael’s voice rang again in his mind. Wanking and touching himself….

Shame and anger tangled like vines inside him.

He writhed on the floor, panting, thighs twitching. His fingers dug into the mattress as his hips bucked involuntarily. He bit his lip, drawing blood.

‘He must die’ The thought came fast. Brutal.

Kael had seen him like this. Vulnerable. exposed. He could ruin everything. If he told the Alpha... if anyone else found out...

Zeil sat up slowly, chest rising and falling in broken rhythm.

“He has to die,” he whispered.

His voice was cold now. Flat.

“Kael must die. There isn’t a two way thing about it.”

The words left his lips with certainty, But his mind was in chaos.

Kael knew.

He knew the truth now.

Zeil’s secret, the one that not even the stars were allowed to hear. The one only Vera and Father knew.

But now… Kael knew too.

And if Kael knew, it was only a matter of time.

His wolf whimpered again.

Then suddenly, a voice roared through his head.

“Zeil.”

The voice echoed in his mind like thunder.

“Within ten breaths ,I want to see you. Immediately.”

His father's voice.

Alpha WindClaw, the mind link vanished, but Zeil was already trembling for a different reason now.

Not from anger or heat or anything but from what he had just decided.

What his wolf had accepted.

What he now believed.

Kael had to die.

He looked down at himself, shirt half-hanging, skin glistening, the sheets on the bed torn from tossing, the silver pill case still open, three capsules lying like broken promises.

Ten breaths?

His knees shook.

How could he go?

What would he say?

What if father already knew?

What if Keal had told the old man what he had seen.

“Damn” he said in a pitch -high tune.

No. He couldn’t go.

But he had to.

Because the Alpha had spoken.

And disobeying him meant worse than being caught.

It meant death.

Zeil stood.

Somehow.

He washed his face, though it was trembling.

Threw on a fresh shirt, though it clung to his too-warm body.

Swallowed the last pill in the box, even though the last two had already taken complete effect coupled to anger driving out all heat and sexual tension away.

Then, before he stepped out of the room, he looked once more at the door.

The one Kael had just walked through.

His hand lingered on the wood.

Then he whispered to himself.

“…What now?”

And walked out into the hall. Toward the voice of his father.

Toward his fate.

The silence between Zeil and Kael throbbed like a wound that refused to close. Their eyes locked, storms locked in storms, and Zeil’s breath trembled between words he could not speak. His wolf clawed at his chest, aching for something that frightened him.And then the door slammed open so hard the hinges squealed.“Breakfast for the half-dead prince!” Lopi sang, balancing a tray in one hand and swinging the door wide with the other. His grin was as wide as the sun, his hair sticking in every possible direction. “Hot soup, bread, and humiliation served fresh!”Zeil froze, caught between the frame and Kael’s closeness. His cheeks flamed as if caught in crime.“Oh, oh, ohhhh,” Lopi crooned, eyes narrowing with fake suspicion. He set the tray down and leaned against the wall, crossing his arms. “What is this? What did I interrupt? A duel? A dramatic staring contest? Or” He paused, lowering his voice in mock scandal, “...something more scandalous?”Zeil’s face burned. “Lopi, shut your mout

The room was dim, filled with the soft glow of a single lamp which was suddenly blown off by the morning wind. The bird's hand already began to sing their early morning songs. Zeil’s breath came shallow but steady, his body trembling as though torn between sickness and strength. He turned his face toward Kael, who stood like a sentinel in the corner, quiet, unmoving.Zeil’s lips parted, his voice low, uncertain. “You don’t have to stand there all day again? Kael’s eyes did not shift. “Yes, I do.”Zeil frowned, trying to push himself upright. His body ached, sharp pain slicing through his chest, but pride forced him up anyway. His hands gripped the edge of the bed, knuckles pale.Kael moved before he could steady himself, his steps silent but swift. His hand came down, strong and warm, pressing against Zeil’s shoulder. “Lie down.”“I’m not fragile,” Zeil said harshly, but the words quivered, breaking under the weight of weakness.Kael’s hand did not move. His voice was quiet, deep, li

The chamber was silent except for the faint hiss of the brazier. Shadows bent across the stone walls, firelight flickering in restless waves. The Great Alpha sat tall on the oak chair, his hands resting heavy on the armrests. His eyes were sharp, dark as midnight, fixed on the fish pond as if he had been waiting for hours for a particular fish to show itself. At last, the door opened Healer Lena entered quietly. Her robes brushed against the floor, her steps measured, calm, almost like the rhythm of breath itself. She bowed, both hands folded neatly in front of her.“My lord Alpha,” she said softly. The Lord Alpha tilted his head just slightly, his stare unmoving. “You came.”“I came the moment you called,” she answered, her voice even.He gestured faintly toward the space near the fish pond “Stand here.”She did. The flames washed her face with amber glow, painting her features with warmth she did not feel. The Alpha’s gaze was too sharp, too heavy for comfort. For a moment, there

The morning sun was already at its peak, spilling gold over the rooftops of the WindClaw Kingdom. The training ground was alive with movement. Dozens of wolves, both in human form and shifted, were sparring hard. Fists slammed into training posts, claws scraped the dirt, bodies locked and broke apart in wrestling moves. The air was thick with sweat, effort, and the sharp scent of determination. Every strike, every throw was meant to keep the Kingdom strong. No one here could afford to be weak.In the middle of all that noise, a few voices rose above the rest.“Where’s the Young Lord Alpha?” one warrior grunted as he wiped his brow.Another shrugged. “Haven’t seen him in three days. Not here, not anywhere around the training yard.”“That’s strange,” the first said. “He’s always the first one to start training, swinging like he’s about to go to war.”A third voice joined in, low and mocking. “Maybe he’s lost his stamina. Imagine someone like him leading us into battle.”A few chuckled at

The silence in the council hall stayed heavy, like a blanket no one wanted to lift. Elder Kyros’s chair creaked as he slowly stood. His tall frame was outlined by the faint torchlight on the stone walls. He didn’t look at anyone—just kept his gaze on the wide doors ahead as if they were calling to him.He walked slowly, every step echoing across the floor. When he reached the doors, he stopped, turned slightly toward the Lord Alpha, and gave a deep, respectful bow.“My Lord Alpha,” he said softly, voice calm but carrying far in the quiet room. Then without another word, he stepped out into the night. The big doors closed behind him with a low thud, and the hall went still again.Only Elder Rion and the Lord Alpha remained.Neither spoke. The torches flickered, making shadows dance along the high ceiling. Outside, the night was at its deepest, the kind of dark that made even the moonlight hesitate.Back at the Malgorn’s compound, Adira was in the courtyard with a small group of pups. T

  • Fangs And Desires   Chapter 32

The great hall of the Elders smelled faintly of cedarwood and the warm, smoky burn of old torches. Shadows clung to the carved pillars, stretching high to the arched ceiling. Outside, the late afternoon sun bled in through narrow windows, staining the stone floor in streaks of gold and red.Every council member was present.Every seat taken. The only sounds were the faint crackle of the fire and the measured breaths of wolves who had ruled this kingdom for decades. Then a voice cut through the air.“Lord Alpha,” Elder Malgorn said as he rose from his chair. His grey robes shifted around him like restless fog. His eyes were sharp, carrying the same weight they always had when he spoke in council words chosen carefully, like arrows aimed at the heart. “I would like to bring to the council’s notice that the Young Lord is of age now. As the next ruler of this kingdom, it is best he takes a wife… one who is worthy of ruling beside him.”He paused, letting the words settle in the room like
