**********Arranged Mate**********

Chloe POV

I slowly opened my eyes, the morning light filtering through the thin curtains of my bedroom.

I stretched my arms above my head and let out a yawn, feeling the familiar ache in my muscles from another restless night.

I picked up my phone as I checked the time.

“This is 6:10am, how in the world will I wake up this early when I don’t have any place or any event to attend?” I questioned my tired self arching one of my brows.

“Dummy!!!!!!, you have classes, my wolf said to me with mockery.”

One thing I have learn to live with is that I was blessed with a mean and annoying wolf.

“I really don’t want to reply you but I have to Caroline.”

“You’re not supposed to call me a dummy when you’re clearly the dummy in here.”

“I’m having class today by 8 and I woke up around 6, does that make sense to you?”

“No matter what is happening you know me so well that I can never wake up around 6 and here am I waking around 6.

“I don’t know what is happening to me.”

“Ever since the beginning of this week it has always been my job to wake up early and end up sleeping through out the day.” I complained.

“I am supposed to be awake around 7 not 6am. I groaned as I yank the duvet off my body.

I sat up and swung my legs over the side of the bed, my feet touching the cold wood floor. I stood and made my way to the bathroom, splashing some water on her face to wake up.

As i brushed my teeth, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but the air felt charged, like a storm was brewing.

As I stood in front of the bathroom mirror,

I couldn't shake the feeling of anger that was coursing through my veins.

I couldn't believe what had happened earlier that morning. It was just so unfair.

“Why must I wake up this morning when I’m

Suppose to be sleeping!!!”

I squeezed a dollop of cleanser onto my palm and scrubbed my face with more force than necessary, feeling a sense of satisfaction as the foamy lather worked its way into my pores.

I rinsed off the cleanser and reached for my toner, dabbing it onto a cotton pad and swiping it across her face.

I followed up with my serum, my movements precise and controlled as my worked through my skin care routine.

As I finished applying my moisturizer and sunblock, I took a deep breath and tried to calm down. I had a long day ahead of me and the last thing i needed was to be angry and stressed out.

But the more I try to assure myself to stop being angry is the more angry i become.

I grabbed my uniform and put it on, taking a moment to smooth out the wrinkles before heading to my bedroom to do my hair and makeup.

I applied a final coat of mascara and slipped on her shoes,

I took a deep breath and tried to focus on the day ahead. I was determined to put my anger behind me and make the most of it, no matter what challenges came my way but that doesn’t stop the fact that I’m having a strange feeling about everything.

I shrugged it off and finished getting ready for the day, trying to push the strange feeling to the back of my mind. I had a long day ahead of me, and I couldn't afford to be distracted.

I guess maybe I should read a little before going to class.

I took my pen and book from the bed, I remembering sleeping off while reading.

I walked straight to my reading table as I opened my book.

I was few minutes into reading when I heard an annoying knocking on the door.

The sound of the knocking on the door pulled me away from my textbook.

I glanced up at the clock and frowned, wondering who could be disturbing me in the middle of my study session.

"Chloe, can I come in?" mom called out from the other side of the door.

"Sure," I replied, setting my pen down and closing my textbook.

My mom opened the door and stepped into the room, a somber expression on her face. "We need to talk," she said, closing the door behind her.

My heart began to race. I had a feeling that I knew what this will be about.

"Is it about my grades?" I asked, bracing myself for the worst.

"No, it's not about your grades," my mom said, shaking her head. "It's about your future."

"What do you mean?" I asked, my heart sinking.

"You're almost 21, Chloe," my mom said, a sad look in her eyes. "It's time for you to start thinking about getting a mate and starting a family."

"What are you talking about?" I asked with my voice shaking. "I'm not ready to get married or should I say mated? I want to finish college and have a career."

"I'm sorry, Chloe," my mom said, tears welling up in her eyes. "But I can't continue paying your college fee, it’s so expensive And it's not right for a young woman like you to be alone. You need a husband to take care of you."

I felt a wave of anger wash over her. I couldn't believe my mom was saying this.

“Mom please stop all these madness and look for another excuse.”

“You are the Luna of the pack and here you are lying to me that you can’t afford sending me to college.”

“I’m not a kid, mom and I know so well that the Luna doesn’t pay a dime as school fee for her kids so please look for another excuse or should I say lie.

"I don't want to be forced into getting married when I’m supposed to choose my mate myself.” I said, with my voice firm. "I want to finish college and have a career."

"I'm sorry, Chloe " my mom said, shaking her head. "But I can't let you throw your life away like that when you have a rich Alpha that can take care of you. ."

“I don’t understand mom!, what are you trying to say?”

“Are you trying to tell me that you’re arranging a mate for me when I’m supposed to choose it myself?” I flared up.

“I don’t have much to say Chloe, come meet me at the kitchen so we can discuss better.” She concluded as she walked out of my sight without feeling any string of remorse

I quickly walked after her, the stamping of my feet could be heard all over the place because I was so angry and frustrated at Thesame time.

I finally arrived at the kitchen with my whole body boiling up in anger.

“Take your sit dearie.” Mom urge as she pointed at a sit.

“The last time I checked mom, I wasn’t complaining that I am tired neither was I complaining that I needed a chair to sit down.

“If that’s okay by you then so be it,

“Anyways, have this.” Mom said as she pointed an envelope to my direction.

I quickly took it from her as I tore it off without wasting time.

“WHAT IN THE WORLD MOM!!!!!!!”

“YOU ARE GIVING ME OFF AS A MATE TO AN UNKNOWN ALPHA WTHOUT MY CONSENT????”
