Getting To Meet My Stranger Mate

Fated But Not Destined

Chapter 6

******Getting To Meet My Stranger Mate*****

Chloe POV

The sun shone bright through the crack in the window, hitting directly on my face.

I rubbed my eyes, feeling the warmth of the sun on my skin. I sat up in bed and stretched, taking in the peace and quiet of the room.

I remember crying myself to sleep yesterday.

I feel a little better, I let out a little smile.

As I stood up, I noticed that the door was locked from the outside.

My smile faded as i realized something was wrong.

I walked over to the door and tried to turn the handle, but it wouldn’t budge. Panic set in as i realized that I was trapped.

“Don’t tell me that mom really want to lock me in here.” I questioned myself confusingly.

“Mom!!!!, please come open the door.” I screamed at the top of my voice as I began to bang on the door, calling out for help.

I heard footsteps approaching, and my heart raced as I prepared myself for the worst.

The door creaked open, and my mother appeared in the doorway. Her expression was cold and unreadable.

"Mom, what's going on?" I asked, my voice trembling.

"You're not going anywhere," my mother replied with her voice firm. "You're staying here until you understand the consequences of your actions."

“What consequences, mom?, I didn’t remember doing anything or committing any havoc that resulted to consequences.” I said to her firmly.

“The consequences of bringing a Lycan into the pack when you know so well that the Lycans and the werewolves don’t agree.”

“I won’t want you to destroy what the werewolves spent centuries building by being a mate to a Lycan.“

“So, that is the consequences and that is the reason why you are being locked up,” she answered me without a tiny wave of guilt.

My heart sank as i realized that i had been locked up by my own mother.

I felt tears prick at the corners of my eyes as i realized that I was completely alone, trapped and helpless.

“I have a single advice for you, Chloe; don’t try to escape because you will end up regretting ever bit of it.” She warned.

“The guards will bring in your meal shortly..” She told me.

"Mom, please," i begged, but my mother only shook her head and closed the door, leaving me trapped in the room.

I sank down to the ground, feeling hopeless and afraid.

I didn't know how long I would be trapped there, or what my mother had in store for me. All I could do was wait and hope for a way out.

I do know one thing for sure, the reason why I am been trap is to get me mated to a total stranger.”

Tears flooded my eyes as i thought of the future that lay ahead of her.

A future with a man i have never met, a future where i would be forced to give up my freedom and live a life that was not my own.

I felt like i was trapped in a nightmare, like my entire world had been turned upside down.

How could my mother do this to me? How could she be so cruel and selfish?

I thought of the life I had once dreamed of, the hopes and aspirations I had cherished. Now, all of that was gone, taken from me in the cruelest of ways.

I buried my face in my hands, my body wracked with sobs as i cried for the loss of my future and the injustice of it all.

I felt like a prisoner, locked away from the world and everything i had ever known and loved.

******Few minutes Later******

I still sat in my room or should I say cell?staring blankly at the floor.

I had been locked up just one day and it felt like an eternity, i had already given up hope of ever seeing the outside world again.

Just then, i heard the sound of footsteps approaching, and i looked up to see a guard carrying a tray of food.

He unlocked the door to my room and pushed the tray inside, then locked the door again.

As the guard walked away, i picked at the food listlessly, my mind elsewhere.

I dropped the food on the floor as I had lost all my appetite. Suddenly, i remembered something - a loose brick in the wall that I had discovered on one of my rare trips to the bathroom.

I pushed away the tray of food from my front and stood up, walking over to the wall.

I pushed on the brick and felt it give slightly.

I pushed harder and it shifted further, revealing a small opening.

My heart began to race as i realized that this might be my chance to escape. I looked around for anything I could use to pry the brick out further, and my eyes landed on the metal tray.

I grabbed it and began to work at the brick, using the edge to lever it out of place.

After what felt like an eternity, the brick came free, I let out the breathe that I didn’t knew I was holding.

Without further hesitation, i started walking through the tunnel.

Just as I was starting to get a little more confident, i heard a sound behind me - the sound of footsteps. I turned around to see my mother, standing at the entrance to the tunnel.

“I know that you will try to escape through this tunnel, Chloe.” Mom sneered at me.

“Why can’t you just listen to simple instructions? You love taking decisions that is always leading you into trouble.”

"I know you've been trying to escape," my mother said, her voice stern. "But I'm warning you, don't bother. You won't be able to get out."

My heart sank as i realized that my mother was probably telling the truth. I was trapped, and there was no escape.

"Why are you doing this to me?" I asked, with my voice trembling with anger. "I haven't done anything wrong." I questioned her but I didn’t get any reply from her.

I felt a tear roll down my cheek as i realized that my mother was not going to let me go.

I was trapped, and there was no escape. I sank back down as I fell straight to the ground with all my hopes lost.

“You need to clean those fake tears of yours, Chloe; I didn’t catch you escaping just to see your fake tears.”

“I am here to inform you that you will be meeting your mate today and you will also be having your mating ceremony.“ mom said to me without any remorse.

“What!!!!!.“
