Chapter 10: Sins of the past

All my life, I've loved only four women and I was willing to die for them, the first woman I ever knew… my mother, two others are my sisters and the last was America.

I had protected my mother and sisters all my life and I would do it over and over again but I had never gotten the chance to protect America, instead, I hurt her, I caused her unforgettable pain that also scared my heart but I believed I could change that and I needed to prove it to her and myself.

Before he finished his words, I dashed across the room with a strength boosted by the surge of confidence in me.

Taking possession of his weapon, I attempted to snap his arm to the back but he was fast enough to dodge my attack. I threw the gun at America, "run!" I commanded and she instantly did.

It was dark and rainy so she allowed her wolf take the lead.
