‘Congratulations, Dante. You did it,’ the Goddess said proudly. ‘You cleansed her of the chains of her past. Toris was the epicenter of those chains, so killing him set her free. She will always remember her past, just as we all do, but you gave peace to her soul by doing so. This is my blessing to your bond: never will there be a stronger mate-bond in existence than that which is between you, Ziyah, and Byron.’

My girl gave me the most sincere smile I had ever seen grace her face before, having heard the Goddess’ words as well.
