Chapter Sixteen

Alpha Davon's POV

"The day that I came into the Pack, you asked me why I made my way here and I only told you one of the reasons," Elsa began to explain, slightly bowing her head, probably due to fear. She did her best to avoid any form of eye contact and I didn't make it any easier for her by ensuring that I had my eyes on her all the time.

"So what is it?" I asked her, adjusting myself so I could pay keen attention to her for a better understanding of whatever she had to say.

"It started on that fateful night when you saved me from those wolves that were after my life. I remember being unable to leave your side despite your warnings. It wasn't just me. Something was fighting me from within from making my way out of that place."

I could remember what happened that night more clearly than earlier when we met. She had even offered to join me back to my Pack but there was no way I could have given consent to that request.
