Chapter Hundred And SixMurray's POV"Hold," I screamed at my men as we got very close to the borders of the Stronghold Pack. I had sent three of our men to head over to the borders to find out what was going on and they were yet to return. So, I felt the need to hold on until they did, instead of rushing in blindly. I paused to look at the army that I had with me. I had managed to convince two other Rogue Kings to join us with their warriors in our quest to take Davon out. It wasn't that easy as they didn't trust me at first. Just like Alpha Grim, they thought that I had come to lead them to their demise and if Alpha Grim didn't intervene, they'd never have joined us. They weren't that large but with more than 15 carriages full of our combined warriors, I had no doubts that we were going to overwhelm them with ease. I also believed that the Rogues and I were the perfect match. I had trained the Rogues in my Pack for several months and I knew they were ready. But more than that, t
Chapter Hundred and SevenElsa's POV"Where's my baby? Let me have my baby," I said to the Pack nurse as she stood over me. "You'll have her soon, my Queen," she calmly replied. "He's being cleaned up by the maids."I stared at the ceiling feeling so exhausted. The pain that I felt and the energy I had to muster during my baby's childbirth had begun to take a huge toll on me. "Did you just say, 'He?'" I asked, as it suddenly struck me that she was referring to my child as a boy."Yes, my Queen. It's a baby boy and he looks so handsome," she gushed."Oh. Here he is," she said as one of the maids walked to my bed with my child in her hands.I managed to sit up with my back pressed against the wall for support and the maid handed my baby over to me. He was beautiful; so beautiful that I felt a few tears drop from my eyes as I stared at him. He had blue eyes, just like his father and he took my hair. My boy was a blondie. I bent and kissed him on the forehead, very happy to have him.
Chapter Hundred and EightElsa's POVI ran to where they were and stabbed him in the back with my dagger, causing him to yell. "Get on with the fight, Dad," I urged him, seeing that he got distracted by my decision to fight Murray. "I can handle this.""What is this?" Murray asked, looking surprised. "Why won't you let me fulfil my destiny? You know that you can't beat me, right?""You think so?" I raised my right brow."I didn't think that you'd be here, Elsa. I felt you'd be inside with your child in your belly or your arms," he explained. "I have not stopped loving you and I'd hate to kill you. Step away or you'll leave me no choice but to take your life.""You can try," I chuckled, gripping my knife very strongly. "I taught you everything you know, Elsa. Without me, you'd have been nothing," he reminded me. "Now, I didn't teach you everything I know. Just the ones I felt you should. I'll teach you now. I'll make you learn by experience. Some things are better learned that way."H
Chapter OneElsa's POV"Pick it up, Elsa."I bowed my head, struggling to get myself to do what I was asked to. I was fed up with the way that I was treated in the Pack, and desperately craved a change.Being an Omega in the Pack was everyone's nightmare. It meant that I had to be a servant all the days of my life. Alina and her wicked mother, Mel, didn't make it any easier for me. I wished so badly that I could be rid of them for good."I said, pick that up, Elsa!" Alina yelled at me, pointing to a plate that she threw on the floor. I grudgingly walked to the plate and stooped to pick it up but I was met with a blow that landed flush on my right cheek, throwing me to the ground."Serves you right, moron," Alina mocked, sharing a rather scornful laugh with her mother. "Next time, you'd think twice about defying my orders."As I placed my hands on the floor in a bid to get up, I felt a hard kick on my stomach, drawing all of the air out of it. "Mmph!" I groaned, rolling on the floor
Chapter TwoElsa's POVI sat up on the bed after a long sleep and everywhere was already dark. Judging from the sounds of the crickets, I could tell it was already midnight; the perfect time for me to make my move.I looked across to the other areas in the room and I noticed that all the maids were fast asleep, including Maggie.I tiptoed to her bed and tapped her but she wouldn't respond. She was already far gone in her sleep and it was going to take more than a gentle tap to get her to wake up."Maggie," I whispered, trying not to make the others wake up as it was going to ruin my plans. The Alpha had left the Pack earlier that day to visit a neighbouring Pack with some of the guards, leaving the Royal Castle with fewer guards than usual. There was probably no better time for me to escape.I left Maggie's side and walked straight to the place where I kept my bag which I already packed earlier before I slept off. I thought about taking off the blue nightgown that I had on and wearing
Chapter ThreeAlpha Davon's POVI walked into the throne room very early in the morning, summoned by the elders who just wouldn't let me have a good night's rest after a very busy night. "Greetings, Alpha," said the elders, who were already seated waiting for my arrival.Waving at them, I smiled and nodded in acknowledgement. Then, I walked to my throne and sat, placing my hands on the sides of the chair, as I always loved to."Hello, brother."I smiled at my brother as he greeted me, seated on the chair right next to mine. That place was normally reserved for the Beta, who was the second in command, but I was more comfortable having my brother there. When my father died, the Pack was torn between both of us, who was to be the Alpha of the Pack. My father didn't have the chance to declare any of us as his heir due to the unexpected nature of his death and no Pack had ever had two Alphas. The elders decided that we were going to battle it out in a combat that could only be won if one
Chapter FourElsa's POV"Are you done cleaning up the kitchen area?" Maggie asked hurriedly as we stepped out of the room and headed down the hallway."Yes. Sure. I did that earlier this morning," I answered, pausing to scratch my unkempt hair. "I did think I was going to prepare the meal for the guests though. Everyone knows that I'm the best cook here but it seems Melissa didn't want that.""It's Luna Melissa, Elsa. How many times do I have to warn you to address her properly?" Maggie asked, squeezing her face. "You can't tell when she'd suddenly step out and hear you call her that and if we're together, I'll go in for that."I just nodded. I hated to call her anything that wasn't her name. I hated her so much; Alina too. They were undeserving of their respective titles in my opinion."I guess they don't want the Alpha to taste my food and fall in love with me," I suggested. "Perhaps, they have eyes on…"I was cut short by the voices that I heard. We had gotten just outside Alina's
Chapter FiveElsa's POV"You're really going to do it, Elsa? Are you sure you want to risk it all?" Wolf asked excitedly. It was almost as if she was more keen on seeing me take on such a daring adventure than I was. For him, it was more than a quest to be united with my mate; it was also fun to her. She loved that kind of stuff. It was as if she was born for it."Shut up," I spat, wondering how on Earth I managed to have a wolf that was quite the opposite of who I was. If I wasn't strong enough to hold her back, she'd have had control all the time. She was that aggressive."Is it Wolf again?" Maggie asked, with a smile on her face. I nodded and she just shook her head, this time laughing aloud. "You still haven't told me what exactly you have planned to do, Elsa. I'm sure you didn't look so enthusiastic for nothing."I gazed at her for a while, wondering if I could disclose my plans to her. For sure, she was my best friend but I had learned from my mother's life not to trust anyone.
