Chapter three

~ALLISION~

When I slowly opened my eyes, I had no idea what day it was. I groaned lightly, feeling a terrible pain in my lower abdomen. I tilted my head a little, but didn't see anyone by my side, and I wasn't surprised because I expected this before walking into the operating room.

Only when I tried to stand on my feet did I realize I couldn't. My legs were paralyzed and the sharp pain around my abdomen only worsened the more I tried

Without any idea what was happening, I tried to reach out for the button on the cellphone, but the door opened and I was even more stunned to see my sister walk in without any help, any wheelchair, just her legs, walking perfectly fine with a smile on her face,

“S…Sandra…” I called out in a faint voice, my eyes wide open as I stared at her,

Could this be a ghost? No damn way I would be seeing a ghost in broad daylight. She walked over to where I was and halted right in front of me with her arms folded under her breasts,

“Hello, dear sister,” she muttered to me, the smile plastering her face so mischievous that I began to fidget. I knew this smile because she always used it when we were kids and she had done something extremely wrong, putting the blame on me after every act.

“Wh…what's happening to me?” I uttered as I tried standing on my feet once again, but couldn't feel my legs. The sharp pain in my abdomen made me grunt, forcing me to remain on the bed against my own will,

“What you're feeling is your organs failing you, sister. As for your legs, I made sure you never have to walk away when you wake up.” She said, and it felt like a dream as the words sank into my ears,

“What?” My shaky voice managed to say,

She laughed viciously as my fear only worsened, and then she leaned to my level, her eyes sharply bearing into mine, and I cowered like a coward because of fear.

“No one believes you even till now, not even your dear mate who's so fucking obsessed with me.” She muttered and laughed out loud,

“Sometimes I wonder how you're able to take everything I throw at you. Always acting like the victim, always craving for the spotlight you're never going to get, Allison. A nobody, that is what you are, that's what you should have remained as. You should have continued eating whatever crumbs were thrown at you because it's what suits an orphan like you.”

Tears settled at the brim of my eyes, and I fought so hard not to let them go as my fingers gripped onto the bed cover, tight enough to let my nails rip themselves as I clutched tighter.

“Why? Why are you doing all of this to me, Sandra? I never did anything to make you treat me this way.”

“That's it. Because I'm sick of you always acting like the sweet little bird that you're not, being the center of attention all the time. I won't let you take what's mine, Allison, because you…” She paused

“You deserve everything that becomes garbage to me. Everything that is beneath me.”

“You have my husband already. What else do you want from me?” I asked,

“Everything. I want both of them, and I'll have them both no matter what. Liam has always been a distraction, always been my distraction to make you suffer even more. It's of no use keeping more secrets from you anyway so I should let you know now. You're never going to take it out there anyway.” She uttered while I listened,

“Your parents, they were rogues, traitors, and unwanted by their pack.” She said, and I widened my eyes as I stared at her,

“H…how did you know?” My voice managed to crack out, and she smiled wider than before,

“Because someone has been trying to look into your roots and everything about your parents.”

My heart began thumping so hard, and when I tried to sit up again, I groaned in pain reminding myself that I couldn't.

“What are you talking about?” I asked, but she rolled her eyes at me, sick of my questions already,

“That is for you to never find out. Oh, and before I forget, thank you for the kidney I never needed. It served a useless purpose by the way.”

My lips shook in fear as I heard her, and I raised a brow, staring at her in shock,

“What did you just say?”

“You heard me right, Allison. I was never in need of a kidney. In fact, I never had any major injuries from the accident I caused. I faked it all just to get you out of the way and I hope you go join your parents in hell, if they're dead. Maybe you can wait for them if you get there first.” She uttered and immediately grabbed my neck, gripping it so tightly that I felt myself choking.

I tried to fight back, but it was impossible, not when my legs couldn't move, and my weak hands did nothing to help me because Sandra had always been the stronger she-wolf, her father being a high-ranked beta, and her mother too. She was born with strong beta blood.

Besides, her fighting skills were way better than mine, especially because she had received the same training with Lucas and Liam while growing up while I was only taught how to serve the guests better.

Finally, I stopped struggling and I allowed droplets of tears to fall from my eyes, staining the pillow on which my head was resting.

My vision began to blur but she was still standing close to me. She tucked her hand into her pocket while I tried my best not to pass out, and the next thing, I screamed in pain as she injected me with a syringe, something so strong that it made my heart begin to race faster than normal,

“At least I was kind enough to give you a painless death. Goodbye, Dear Sister.” She said and seconds later, I heard the door slam shut

I remained in bed, knowing that I wouldn't survive. In no time, I would be dead, and I wouldn't get to meet my parents. Sandra had said something about someone looking into my roots, but I had no idea who it was.

As my heart raced faster, I shut my eyes and let out a whisper,

“Please, save me, I really don't want to die.” I had no idea who I said these words to, but if anyone could hear me, I hoped they heard how much I was willing to fight just to live.
