Mira’s POV

I sat there, facing this cloaked weirdo, flame flickering between us, making everything look haunted and blue.

“You’ve come far, Alpha’s daughter,” it said. The voice? Impossible to place, could’ve been anyone, really. “Tell me. What is it you want?”

No point dancing around. “Power.”

It cocked its head curiously. “You already had that. Armies. Fear. Big deal.”

I rolled my eyes. “I don’t want their fear anymore.” My words snapped out, sharp as a whip. “I want control. I want to break them in ways a blade never could.”

Silence. Then this dry, scratchy laugh. “And what would you give?”

“Whatever it takes.”

The hood twitched and for a split second, I caught a glimpse of skin like swirling smoke, eyes glistening like spilled oil. Ancient isn’t even the word... this thing made time feel like a joke.

“You hate them,” it said, almost gentle. “The Alpha who shattered you. The woman who stole what you thought was yours.”

“Don’t say her name.”

“Elora,” it purred, to spite me.

My jaw locked tight. Acid in my mouth. “She thinks she’s saved him. She thinks she’s won. But love’s just a leash. I’m going to make sure it chokes her.”

It laughed again, low and chilling. “You sound like someone who’s already danced with shadows.”

I shrugged. “Maybe I have. Maybe I never left them.”

The blue fire twisted higher, like it was getting ideas. “Power like this has a price. Always does.”

“I’m not scared of prices.”

“You should be. This isn’t the strength that wins battles or terrifies wolves. This stains you. Rots anything you care about.”

I leaned in, eyes steady. “There’s nothing left to rot.”

It stared at me. Quiet. Then stretched out its hand across the flame, fingers all thin and rooty, black veins crawling up, hungry for something.

“Then take it.”

The flame flared up as I reached out. The heat from the flames hit me but I didn't pull back. When our hands met, pain exploded through my arm. I gasped, bit my lips so hard I tasted blood.

“Good,” it whispered. “Let it in.”

My body shook, but I held on. I could feel the darkness now, slithering into every inch of me, whispering sweet nothings about destruction and chaos and living forever.

When it finally let go, I almost fell back. My arm is throbbing like a second heartbeat.

“What did you do to me?” I asked, eyes wide.

It grinned... or I think it did. “Gave you what you asked for. A living curse. Yours alone. With a thought, you corrupt. With a touch, you can unmake.”

I made a fish with my palms. Shadows rippled under my skin, restless and almost like they were purring, hungry for the world outside.

“How long’s this supposed to stick around?” I muttered.

“As long as you keep hating,” it answered, voice like gravel and midnight.

That pulled a grin out of me, slow and sharp. “Guess that means forever, then.”

Its voice dropped, all ominous and close. “So, what now?”

“Oh, I’ll go back,” I said. “But not with armies, not with blood and banners. They’re waiting for a war. Let them polish their swords.”

“What’ll you bring, then?”

I stared at my hand. Black veins flickered, a lightning show under my skin. “Something nastier.”

It tipped its head, that weird, knowing tilt. “Curses mess with balance. You hit one, the pain bounces around. Bonds snap. Everything breaks.”

I shrugged, no argument there. “Sounds just right.”

“You might ruin yourself, too.”

I stared at it. “Maybe that’s the whole idea.”

It laughed ugly, hollow, and old as dirt. “Run along, Mira Vale. Let your vengeance eat you alive.”

The blue fire blinked out, and the dark rolled in, thick as tar.

Outside, the night slapped me with cold. The stars looked half-dead, the sky washed out, drained. That weird pulse still buzzed in my bones, shadows muttering secrets under my skin.

Now there were voices in my head, too. Elora’s giggle. Dante’s rumble. Dominic barking orders. All mixed together, stabbing at me from the inside.

I grinned, teeth bare, straight into the dark.

“They thought I was finished,” I breathed. “They think I’m coming back for a fight.”

The wind rustled the trees like it wanted to warn me. Whatever. I let it talk.

“If I can’t rule their world,” I said, holding my hand up to the moon, “then I’ll ruin it.”

The shadows held tighter, like they were swearing right along with me.

And maybe I imagined it, or maybe not, but way up high, I swear the moon shivered.

Elora's pov

Couldn’t shake it. Even after the war ended, after Mira just… slipped away into the fog, something inside me kept kicking, restless. Like my insides just wouldn’t let me move on.

I started with this itch, nothing big at first. You know that weird feeling under your skin, like your body knows something your brain’s too slow to catch up to?

Dante picked up on it before I even said a word. “You’ve been off,” he said one night, staring at me over steamed-up glasses. He always notices, annoyingly.

“I’m fine,” I threw back, way too fast.

He just looked at me. “You’re not. You’re not eating, you don’t sleep. You’re a ghost yourself lately.”

I couldn’t lie anymore. I dug my nails right into the wood. “Every time I shut my eyes, she’s there. Like she’s standing right behind me, breathing on my neck.”

His whole face twisted up. “You think Mira...”

“I don’t know what I think!” The words came out sharp. “She’s gone. We all saw it. But it’s like she’s still in my head, walking around in my dreams.”

He got up, walked over. Close enough to steady me, or maybe himself. “Dreams don’t bite, Elora.”

Dominic’s POV I stared at Elora. She is the real Luna of this pack. She was always so ready to do things for the pack. She has gone through a lot for this pack. My mind rolled back to when we were little and she would always say things she would do for the promise she would become Luna. I always laughed, and to him, he rages and makes a great Luna. Although I never believed it then, I just said comfort to her. But look at her now... the only thing different here is that she is married to me instead of Dante. She loves Dante much more than she loves me, that I could tell, but the bond was stronger. I love her too, but my brother and I can possibly share her because of the love and the bond between the three of us. Elora would be our Luna, She would be both our wife, and Luna. This was the only thing I would do for my brother and her. I made my brother my Co Alpha so we can both be with Elora. The full moon climbed above us, old and bright, a silver coin tossed into midnight velv

Elora’s POVThey used to say peace came quietly. But honestly, it never crashed in like a battle or scorched like heartbreak. It just slipped in, soft as dawn, slow and gentle, so easy to miss until, one morning, you noticed the birds were singing again. The Crescent Moon was finally mending. The smoke stopped rising from the broken borders. Laughter started to echo where pain and crying used to fill the air, real laughter, the kind that wraps around you and promises things will get better. And me? I wasn’t sitting on a throne or standing next to any Alpha. I was right there in the middle of it all, with my people. Most mornings, I went to do my Luna duties. I help rebuild broken homes, paint houses, and make sure the children and adults are being treated well in the healer's chambers. I took care of nursing mothers and made sure there were enough supplies to last for the day. Nobody was left unattended. The young warriors still in training often trailed after me while I inspected the

Dante’s POVHaving Elora fully back was something that lifted a happy mood in me. Although I didn't like the fact that we both had to share her, and I am not sure how, there was nothing I could do. I only wanted her to live and that was enough for me. I didn't want to be greedy. When Dominic sank his fang into her neck, I felt something in me snap. It was like him touching something that was not his in the first place. But he is my brother and there was nothing I could do. He was the Alpha and Elora was his wife. Even if she were my mate, I couldn't possibly stop her husband from trying to save her life. After we were done reconnecting, I left for my room to freshen up and catch a little sleep that I've been missing for quite some days. I was sure Elora was fully recovered now and would not slip in and out of consciousness anymore. Immediately, my head hit the bed after my cold shower, and I drifted off to sleep. Tomorrow was going to be a long day, and I needed to be clear-headed

Elora’s POV I stared at the empty space within me with the moon goddess's voice echoing around me. She seemed to be humming a song. Everywhere felt so peaceful and I wished I could stay here for a little while. Back in the real world, I didn't want to take part in a lot of evil. I felt a sudden jerk and jumped."What is that?" I asked the moon goddess."You are being called back to life. It looks like your time with me has ended," She said, her voice soft."But I don't want to go just yet. At least not until everything is settled between the two brothers," I argued."Elora. This isn't about you. Your devotion to the pack is what has kept the brothers alive. If you don't go back to them, I'm afraid of the outcome," I shook my head violently. This isn't happening"Then at least tell me who I am going to choose," I pleaded."They are both yours..."Before I could make out what she had meant, I felt my body being pulled back as I tried to resist. When I opened my eyes, the air felt of

Dominic’s POVElora’s breathing was shallow. Each breath she took gave me a scare. It felt like forever, and my heart raced so hard. Her skin was really pale, and the mark Dante left was disappearing fast.“No,” Dante choked out, shaking her. “No, no, stay with me—Elora, please!”The healer’s hands trembled over her herbs and glowing bottles. She couldn’t pick one, couldn’t commit. Her voice cracked. “Her energy’s fading… her spirit’s slipping!” Her eyes darted to me, wide and scared. “If one bond won’t hold, let it pass through both. Bite her, Alpha.”I froze.Me? Bite her?I looked down. Elora’s lips parted, her face too still. I forced myself to breathe and met Dante’s eyes. He looked as if he would snap. “Don’t touch her,” he snapped. “She’s mine.”The healer’s voice cut through everything, sharp and furious. “You fool! If she dies, she’s no one’s!”Dante’s jaw clenched. That anger washed away, replaced by fear. His eyes flicked to mine. He swallowed, then nodded, slow and stiff

Elora’s POVMy chest squeezes up tight, first that low, annoying ache, then bam, it’s like a fist yanks the air right out of my lungs. I open my mouth to say I’m fine, but nope, the words just... melt. The room spins and goes all watercolor blurry.“Elora?” Dante’s voice, all echoey and weird, comes at me from somewhere underwater. Then the universe just flips sideways. The floor's gone. I’m weightless, but someone’s arms are strong; catch me before I faceplant. My head lolls back. I hear Dominic yelling for the healer, but his voice is just noise, buried under this ringing that’s taken over my brain.“Elora, look at me!” Dante’s voice cracks, desperate. He grabs for my wrist, checking for a pulse. I catch a glimpse of his eyes, those ridiculous golden eyes that always made me feel safe, they’re wide with panic now.“I can’t... she’s not...” the healer stammers, and honestly, that’s not what you want to hear right now.Everything dissolves into chaos. Hands everywhere, pressing cold c
