Chapter 127

Elora's pov

I wanted to answer, but my voice wasn’t there. My head spun, everything heavy. The mark under my skin still throbbed, faint and annoying, except nothing was there. No spark. Just dead air.

Silence. The kind that crushes.

Dante grabbed my face, hands warm, desperate. “Say something,” he begged. “Did it work?”

I swallowed, throat dry as bone. Managed a whisper. “It didn’t.”

He froze up. His face just crumpled.

I could see him thinking it, the healer’s words rolling around in his head. They echoed in mine too. True love’s mark, right? That magic that’s supposed to fix everything.

Should’ve worked. Would’ve, if I’d really loved him the way the stories say.

And that’s the part that sucks most.

Because I did love him. Just… not enough. Not in the way it mattered.

My neck burned, but underneath that pain, there was another pull. Barely there, but real, like something tugging me away. Not Dante.

Dominic.

Dante’s voice broke. “Elora…”

My vision blurred.

I tried to reach for him, but my arm wouldn’t cooperate. “I’m sorry,” I whispered.

Everything tilted again, the world going all gray and fuzzy. Last thing I felt was Dante’s hand clutching mine, his voice desperate, cracking...

“Elora, don’t you dare leave me.”

Dante’s POV

Thought it worked at first. No lie.

The second my teeth hit her skin, something exploded in the bond, hot, wild, like grabbing a live wire. Her heartbeat roared in my mouth, her scent everywhere, burning. For a blink, I was sure she was mine.

And then… nothing.

The heat died.

I jerked back, gasping, staring at the mark on her neck. Red, then just… gone. Like it never happened. My stomach bottomed out.

“Elora?” I whispered, shaking her. “You hear me?”

She breathed... barely. Eyelashes fluttered, lips twitching, but no words. Just the ghost of something.

My throat closed up. This wasn’t right. The mark should’ve sealed it. Tied her to me, made her stronger. That’s the fairy tale. That’s what everyone says.

I spun on the healer, who stood frozen by the door, clutching her pouch. “Why isn’t she responding?” My voice cracked with panic. “You said true love’s mark would save her!”

She swallowed, eyes wild. “It should have.”

“Then why didn’t it?” I nearly yelled. I could feel my wolf rising, clawing at my insides.

“Calm yourself,” she tried, but her voice shook. She moved closer, hands hovering over Elora’s chest, searching for her heartbeat. Her brow furrowed. “Her heart… it beats strangely.”

“Strange?” I snapped, grabbing her wrist. “What the hell does that mean?”

She stared at me, eyes dark. “It means your love reached her,” she whispered, “but something else pulled her back.”

I froze. Panic mixed with confusion. “Something else?”

She hesitated, glancing at the mark on Elora’s neck. “She accepted your mark, yes. But her soul… It’s tied to someone else. Another bond. Not yours.”

Her words hit hard. “No,” I said, shaking my head. “You’re wrong. She’s my mate. The Moon Goddess chose us. There’s no one else.”

She didn’t flinch. “And yet, your mark didn’t take.”

I stared at Elora, heart pounding. She looked too peaceful. Like she’d just stepped out for a minute and might never come back. Pale. Lips parted, like she was stuck halfway between two dreams.

My hands shook. I brushed her cheek with my thumb. “Wake up,” I begged. “Please, Elora. You said you loved me.”

But she just lay there. Didn’t move, didn’t even twitch.

“Tell me how to fix this,” I snapped. “Just tell me what to do.”

The healer’s eyes got all glassy, like she might cry or maybe she was just tired of me. “You can’t fix what isn’t broken, Alpha Dante. Her body’s doing everything it can to hang on, but her spirit… her spirit’s split down the middle.”

I just stared at her. My brain couldn’t catch up. “Split?”

She nodded slowly. “Two bonds. Two hearts. One dragging her back toward life… the other keeping her stuck between worlds.”

My chest went tight. Breathing felt shallow. “Who?” I spat out, but honestly, I already knew. The answer was already poisoning my gut.

She kept quiet, lips pressed tight, like saying it would make it too real. But then, in this tiny voice, barely more than a breath, she finally said it.

“Because her heart isn’t yours alone.”

Those words? Might as well have been a knife.

I couldn’t move for a while. Couldn’t think. My brain just looped back on all those stupid moments... the way Elora looked at him, Dominic, when she thought nobody was watching. The way her whole body seemed to relax when he walked into a room.

I stumbled back, throat dry. “No,” I said, but it sounded pathetic, even to me.

The healer just dropped her gaze. “Love doesn’t always pick sides,” she mumbled. “Sometimes it splits. And when it does, the body’s the one that gets torn up.”

My hands shook. I wanted to break something... anything. Rip the room apart or just yell. But all I did was stare.

At her. The woman I’d built my world around.

At the mark on her skin that refused to do a damn thing.

I sank down next to her, forehead pressed to her hand. “You’re mine,” I whispered, voice splintering in the middle. “You promised.”

But even as I said it, some part of me... the part that hated me most knew it was a lie.

She might be my mate, sure. But there was a piece of her heart, some secret place I’d never reach, that belonged to Dominic.

No mark, no vow, nothing I could do would ever wipe that away.

  • Fated To One, In Love With The Alpha Twins   Chapter 139

Dominic’s POV I stared at Elora. She is the real Luna of this pack. She was always so ready to do things for the pack. She has gone through a lot for this pack. My mind rolled back to when we were little and she would always say things she would do for the promise she would become Luna. I always laughed, and to him, he rages and makes a great Luna. Although I never believed it then, I just said comfort to her. But look at her now... the only thing different here is that she is married to me instead of Dante. She loves Dante much more than she loves me, that I could tell, but the bond was stronger. I love her too, but my brother and I can possibly share her because of the love and the bond between the three of us. Elora would be our Luna, She would be both our wife, and Luna. This was the only thing I would do for my brother and her. I made my brother my Co Alpha so we can both be with Elora. The full moon climbed above us, old and bright, a silver coin tossed into midnight velv

  • Fated To One, In Love With The Alpha Twins   Chapter 138

Elora’s POVThey used to say peace came quietly. But honestly, it never crashed in like a battle or scorched like heartbreak. It just slipped in, soft as dawn, slow and gentle, so easy to miss until, one morning, you noticed the birds were singing again. The Crescent Moon was finally mending. The smoke stopped rising from the broken borders. Laughter started to echo where pain and crying used to fill the air, real laughter, the kind that wraps around you and promises things will get better. And me? I wasn’t sitting on a throne or standing next to any Alpha. I was right there in the middle of it all, with my people. Most mornings, I went to do my Luna duties. I help rebuild broken homes, paint houses, and make sure the children and adults are being treated well in the healer's chambers. I took care of nursing mothers and made sure there were enough supplies to last for the day. Nobody was left unattended. The young warriors still in training often trailed after me while I inspected the

Dante’s POVHaving Elora fully back was something that lifted a happy mood in me. Although I didn't like the fact that we both had to share her, and I am not sure how, there was nothing I could do. I only wanted her to live and that was enough for me. I didn't want to be greedy. When Dominic sank his fang into her neck, I felt something in me snap. It was like him touching something that was not his in the first place. But he is my brother and there was nothing I could do. He was the Alpha and Elora was his wife. Even if she were my mate, I couldn't possibly stop her husband from trying to save her life. After we were done reconnecting, I left for my room to freshen up and catch a little sleep that I've been missing for quite some days. I was sure Elora was fully recovered now and would not slip in and out of consciousness anymore. Immediately, my head hit the bed after my cold shower, and I drifted off to sleep. Tomorrow was going to be a long day, and I needed to be clear-headed

  • Fated To One, In Love With The Alpha Twins   Chapter 136

Elora’s POV I stared at the empty space within me with the moon goddess's voice echoing around me. She seemed to be humming a song. Everywhere felt so peaceful and I wished I could stay here for a little while. Back in the real world, I didn't want to take part in a lot of evil. I felt a sudden jerk and jumped."What is that?" I asked the moon goddess."You are being called back to life. It looks like your time with me has ended," She said, her voice soft."But I don't want to go just yet. At least not until everything is settled between the two brothers," I argued."Elora. This isn't about you. Your devotion to the pack is what has kept the brothers alive. If you don't go back to them, I'm afraid of the outcome," I shook my head violently. This isn't happening"Then at least tell me who I am going to choose," I pleaded."They are both yours..."Before I could make out what she had meant, I felt my body being pulled back as I tried to resist. When I opened my eyes, the air felt of

Dominic’s POVElora’s breathing was shallow. Each breath she took gave me a scare. It felt like forever, and my heart raced so hard. Her skin was really pale, and the mark Dante left was disappearing fast.“No,” Dante choked out, shaking her. “No, no, stay with me—Elora, please!”The healer’s hands trembled over her herbs and glowing bottles. She couldn’t pick one, couldn’t commit. Her voice cracked. “Her energy’s fading… her spirit’s slipping!” Her eyes darted to me, wide and scared. “If one bond won’t hold, let it pass through both. Bite her, Alpha.”I froze.Me? Bite her?I looked down. Elora’s lips parted, her face too still. I forced myself to breathe and met Dante’s eyes. He looked as if he would snap. “Don’t touch her,” he snapped. “She’s mine.”The healer’s voice cut through everything, sharp and furious. “You fool! If she dies, she’s no one’s!”Dante’s jaw clenched. That anger washed away, replaced by fear. His eyes flicked to mine. He swallowed, then nodded, slow and stiff

Elora’s POVMy chest squeezes up tight, first that low, annoying ache, then bam, it’s like a fist yanks the air right out of my lungs. I open my mouth to say I’m fine, but nope, the words just... melt. The room spins and goes all watercolor blurry.“Elora?” Dante’s voice, all echoey and weird, comes at me from somewhere underwater. Then the universe just flips sideways. The floor's gone. I’m weightless, but someone’s arms are strong; catch me before I faceplant. My head lolls back. I hear Dominic yelling for the healer, but his voice is just noise, buried under this ringing that’s taken over my brain.“Elora, look at me!” Dante’s voice cracks, desperate. He grabs for my wrist, checking for a pulse. I catch a glimpse of his eyes, those ridiculous golden eyes that always made me feel safe, they’re wide with panic now.“I can’t... she’s not...” the healer stammers, and honestly, that’s not what you want to hear right now.Everything dissolves into chaos. Hands everywhere, pressing cold c
