Dominic’s POV

“Alpha Luca’s declared war on NightShade pack.”

I just sat there, staring at the poor councilman, fingers digging into the table.

War.

The one thing I swore I’d never drag my pack into. My body was still wrecked from that ritual...hands trembling every time I tried to stand.

Elora slipped in quietly.

“You heard,” she said, voice soft but sure.

I just nodded, slowly. “Alpha Luca is coming for us.”

She didn’t flinch. “Then we fight.”

The way she said it made her sound like an Alpha...like more of an Alpha than I did. Maybe that’s what stung the most.

She had become what I couldn’t anymore.

I turned away, trying to steady my breathing. “You shouldn’t be the one to lead. This is my mess, my responsibility.”

She got up in my face, voice low but sharp as claws. “And your life’s worth more than your pride. You can barely stand, Dominic. Let me handle this.”

The way she said my name made me look up, and for a split second, I forgot about the chaos outside.

“You trust Dante?” I asked.

She almost smiled. “With my life.”

That stung.

Not jealousy, just… something else, like the ground swallowing me. They were rising while I was falling apart. But I couldn’t argue with the truth. “Then go,” I said. “You and Dante take the front.”

She lingered, searching my face like she was waiting for me to get angry. “What about you?”

“I’ll recover,” I lied straight through my teeth. “And when I can, I’ll end what Luca started.”

She nodded, but those eyes... she didn’t believe a word. Before she left, she brushed her fingers against mine. Just for a second. Just enough. Then she wakes out, leaving me in the cold room.

The door shut. I slumped back, every breath suddenly heavy. Being Alpha, it’s like wearing chains sometimes.

I couldn’t help thinking of Mira. How easy it had been for her love to turn to knives and poison. She hid it well, at first. Part of me still wanted to believe there was something left of the woman I loved under all that venom, but nah. She was gone. This war wasn’t revenge for her. It was her madness.

I should have seen it coming.

I should’ve stopped it.

Out the window, I caught the flicker of torches, warriors getting ready.

I hated being like this.

Every muscle screamed to move, to lead, to be the Alpha they needed. But the second I tried to stand, pain shot through me, sharp and unforgiving. My knees buckled. I barely caught myself, breathing ragged.

Not yet.

I couldn’t fight, not now. But I could plan. I could still protect my own.

Elora’s face wouldn’t leave my mind. Dante would have her back. That had to be enough.

For now.

But if I’m honest, this wasn’t Alpha Luca’s war anymore. It was Mira’s. And she wouldn’t stop until she burned everything I cared about to ash.

“Then burn me first.”

........

Mira's pov.

I stood at the edge of the courtyard, wind whipping the clang of steel and the barks of soldiers around me. My father’s army...no, our army was gathering.

I watched it all as shivers ran through my spine and I smiled.

Dominic thought he could toss me aside like trash. Every sword, every banner, was all for me. My revenge.

My father, Alpha Luca, stood at the front, big as a mountain, thunder in his eyes. Even now, age hadn’t dulled the fear he could whip up. But I saw it...the flicker of doubt, the old, tired memory of peace he used to chase.

I stepped up, voice like honey poured over a blade. “Father...”

He wouldn’t even look at me. Typical. “This isn’t a war I asked for, Mira. Dominic might be reckless, but don’t mistake that for weakness. NightShade isn’t gonna crumble overnight.”

I just gave him a tiny smile, circling him slowly. “You’re underestimating him. He’s softer than you think. He cut me off...severed our bond.”

That actually got him. He turned around, eyes wide, and for a second, I swear he almost pitied me.

“He broke me,” I whispered, voice all shaky, just the right amount of wounded. “He tore out my heart and handed my place to her. Elora. She’s the one clinging to him now, playing at being his equal.”

Dad’s jaw clenched, the vein in his temple twitching. I slid in closer, laid my hand on his arm. “He stole everything, Father. My place. My honor. Even your name. Are you going to let him get away with that?”

And there it was, the change I’d been waiting for. Rage lit up his eyes. He turned to his generals, “Ready the legions. We march at dawn.”

I couldn’t help it, a crooked, satisfied grin crept onto my face. Just like that, he was in. This wasn’t about politics anymore. He’d go to war for me.

I was just getting started.

When it was nighttime, I slipped away. Tossed a cloak over my head, and walked into the woods. Nobody saw me...at least. I crept along a half-forgotten path, all the way to the border. Neutral ground.

He was there.

Alpha Draven, Blood Fang’s Alpha, leaning on a busted pillar, red eyes glinting in the dark. Taller than I remembered, and that smile, sharp enough to bleed if you looked at it wrong.

“Mira Luca,” he purred, pushing off the stone. “Back from the dead, huh? You’ve made one hell of a mess.”

I just stared at him. “I’m not here to swap stories, Draven.”

“Oh? So why shouldn’t I just snap your neck right here?”

I didn’t flinch. “Because I’m the key to taking Dominic Bellamy down.”

Now I had his attention.

So I spilled. Everything.

Draven listened. Didn’t say much. But when I finished, he just asked, “And what are you after?”

“Dominic’s head,” I said, dead serious. “And NigthShade, burn it all.”

He laughed, low and dangerous, like gravel under boots. “You’re colder than I remember, Mira.”

“Pain will do that to a person,” I shot back.

We stood sizing each other up, then he stuck out his hand. “Alliance, then? Blood Fang and Dark Storm?”

I took it.

“Alliance,” I said, and I couldn’t keep the smile off my face.

Dominic’s POV I stared at Elora. She is the real Luna of this pack. She was always so ready to do things for the pack. She has gone through a lot for this pack. My mind rolled back to when we were little and she would always say things she would do for the promise she would become Luna. I always laughed, and to him, he rages and makes a great Luna. Although I never believed it then, I just said comfort to her. But look at her now... the only thing different here is that she is married to me instead of Dante. She loves Dante much more than she loves me, that I could tell, but the bond was stronger. I love her too, but my brother and I can possibly share her because of the love and the bond between the three of us. Elora would be our Luna, She would be both our wife, and Luna. This was the only thing I would do for my brother and her. I made my brother my Co Alpha so we can both be with Elora. The full moon climbed above us, old and bright, a silver coin tossed into midnight velv

Elora’s POVThey used to say peace came quietly. But honestly, it never crashed in like a battle or scorched like heartbreak. It just slipped in, soft as dawn, slow and gentle, so easy to miss until, one morning, you noticed the birds were singing again. The Crescent Moon was finally mending. The smoke stopped rising from the broken borders. Laughter started to echo where pain and crying used to fill the air, real laughter, the kind that wraps around you and promises things will get better. And me? I wasn’t sitting on a throne or standing next to any Alpha. I was right there in the middle of it all, with my people. Most mornings, I went to do my Luna duties. I help rebuild broken homes, paint houses, and make sure the children and adults are being treated well in the healer's chambers. I took care of nursing mothers and made sure there were enough supplies to last for the day. Nobody was left unattended. The young warriors still in training often trailed after me while I inspected the

Dante’s POVHaving Elora fully back was something that lifted a happy mood in me. Although I didn't like the fact that we both had to share her, and I am not sure how, there was nothing I could do. I only wanted her to live and that was enough for me. I didn't want to be greedy. When Dominic sank his fang into her neck, I felt something in me snap. It was like him touching something that was not his in the first place. But he is my brother and there was nothing I could do. He was the Alpha and Elora was his wife. Even if she were my mate, I couldn't possibly stop her husband from trying to save her life. After we were done reconnecting, I left for my room to freshen up and catch a little sleep that I've been missing for quite some days. I was sure Elora was fully recovered now and would not slip in and out of consciousness anymore. Immediately, my head hit the bed after my cold shower, and I drifted off to sleep. Tomorrow was going to be a long day, and I needed to be clear-headed

Elora’s POV I stared at the empty space within me with the moon goddess's voice echoing around me. She seemed to be humming a song. Everywhere felt so peaceful and I wished I could stay here for a little while. Back in the real world, I didn't want to take part in a lot of evil. I felt a sudden jerk and jumped."What is that?" I asked the moon goddess."You are being called back to life. It looks like your time with me has ended," She said, her voice soft."But I don't want to go just yet. At least not until everything is settled between the two brothers," I argued."Elora. This isn't about you. Your devotion to the pack is what has kept the brothers alive. If you don't go back to them, I'm afraid of the outcome," I shook my head violently. This isn't happening"Then at least tell me who I am going to choose," I pleaded."They are both yours..."Before I could make out what she had meant, I felt my body being pulled back as I tried to resist. When I opened my eyes, the air felt of

Dominic’s POVElora’s breathing was shallow. Each breath she took gave me a scare. It felt like forever, and my heart raced so hard. Her skin was really pale, and the mark Dante left was disappearing fast.“No,” Dante choked out, shaking her. “No, no, stay with me—Elora, please!”The healer’s hands trembled over her herbs and glowing bottles. She couldn’t pick one, couldn’t commit. Her voice cracked. “Her energy’s fading… her spirit’s slipping!” Her eyes darted to me, wide and scared. “If one bond won’t hold, let it pass through both. Bite her, Alpha.”I froze.Me? Bite her?I looked down. Elora’s lips parted, her face too still. I forced myself to breathe and met Dante’s eyes. He looked as if he would snap. “Don’t touch her,” he snapped. “She’s mine.”The healer’s voice cut through everything, sharp and furious. “You fool! If she dies, she’s no one’s!”Dante’s jaw clenched. That anger washed away, replaced by fear. His eyes flicked to mine. He swallowed, then nodded, slow and stiff

Elora’s POVMy chest squeezes up tight, first that low, annoying ache, then bam, it’s like a fist yanks the air right out of my lungs. I open my mouth to say I’m fine, but nope, the words just... melt. The room spins and goes all watercolor blurry.“Elora?” Dante’s voice, all echoey and weird, comes at me from somewhere underwater. Then the universe just flips sideways. The floor's gone. I’m weightless, but someone’s arms are strong; catch me before I faceplant. My head lolls back. I hear Dominic yelling for the healer, but his voice is just noise, buried under this ringing that’s taken over my brain.“Elora, look at me!” Dante’s voice cracks, desperate. He grabs for my wrist, checking for a pulse. I catch a glimpse of his eyes, those ridiculous golden eyes that always made me feel safe, they’re wide with panic now.“I can’t... she’s not...” the healer stammers, and honestly, that’s not what you want to hear right now.Everything dissolves into chaos. Hands everywhere, pressing cold c
