QUEEN AQUAMARINE'S POV

He did nothing.

Just stared.

As if waiting to see what I’d do next.

He stood before me, taller than any palace I've seen before in my life. Those glowing golden snake-like eyes stared straight through me, gigantic horns and purple smoke curled from his nostrils.

Is this really Alexander?

The man I had once argued with? The one who bathed me? The one who taught me to write?

"Alexander," I said hoarsely, barely able to breathe.

He tilted his monstrous head, as if hearing my voice for the first time. His eyes narrowed, but didn’t seem like he was angry. Like he hadn't fully come back yet.

He lowered his head and then opened his mouth wide to reveal his sharp gigantic fangs and what looked like a flaming purple ball growing in his throat.

I felt dizzy just looking at it as I felt my heart jump out of my mouth. I watched in horror as the purple flame escaped from his mouth but I was cool.

Then slowly, he stepped forward. Each step caused the earth to shake and bir

  • Fated To The Golden-Eyed Devil   135. A Tongue For A Tongue

LUNA AQUAMARINE’S POV Cold. That was the first thing I felt— it was like I was dipped inside a tub of freezing water with ice. I gasped and flinched awake, but the ropes still binding me stopped me from cradling myself. My knees shook from standing for hours and my feet were badly touching the floor.I was a shivering mess.Clinton was standing over me, holding a bucket, his eyes were wild, burning holes into me.“Clinton—,” my teeth clattered soo hard that I felt it would break, my throat dry and aching from Katherine’s grip last night. A shiver ran down my spine and I trembled as the memory replayed in my head. She really tried to kill me.Another splash hit me, bringing me out of my thoughts. But this time it burnt my skin.“Wait—” I gasped as he tried to do it again. My skin prickled soo much I thought it might peel. “Clint— stop! Please!” Thankfully, he did and just glared at me, gripping the handle of the bucket soo hard that I could see his knuckles turn white. He didn’t say

  • Fated To The Golden-Eyed Devil   134. A Curse

LUNA AQUAMARINE’S POV At first, I thought it was a dream. The kind that makes your skin crawl, that blurs the line between real and unreal until you don’t know where you stand. But the longer I stayed bound in that cold, damp room, the more it sank in. This wasn’t a dream.I saw him. Clinton. He wasn’t supposed to be alive. I watched him die. How did he survive the blow that Alexander landed on his head?I still remember the sound of his skull cracking and the way his jaw looked like it would hit the ground— it was literally dangling off that day.He bled to the point that he turned white. But there he was, standing crooked in the torchlight, jaw not quite right, like it had been broken and glued back together with a very prominent scar. His eyes weren’t the same either— it looked… evil.Alpha Felix was beside him. Not a wrinkle of death on his face. His presence carried that same suffocating weight, as though time had never touched him.“You, filthy omega. I'm going to kill you fo

  • Fated To The Golden-Eyed Devil   133. If Only You Were Mine

LUNA AQUAMARINE’S POVTwo days passed.Katherine kept fussing, Clifford kept hovering, and I kept lying there with my eyes half-shut like I was still weak. Truth is, the healer had said I was fine. A little rest, no stress. The baby was strong. But I let them believe I was fragile. Easier that way. They thought I slept most of the time, but I didn’t. I watched them move in and out of the room, whispering about shifts and guards, bickering about food or who should sit with me. I laughed softly once, but inside I was building something else. A plan.Leaving.Not now, not while they were watching me like hawks. But soon.So when the night came and the palace fell quiet, I slipped out from under the sheets. The air was cold against my skin, sharp, like it knew what I was about to do. My legs shook a little, but I kept steady.I had packed earlier, small things they wouldn’t notice missing. A little bag, light enough to carry without noise. Some clothes, food, water and coins. Nothing mo

  • Fated To The Golden-Eyed Devil   132. Why Am I Still—?

LUNA AQUAMARINE’S POVLight stung. The ceiling above me blurred.“Aqua?”Katherine’s voice was the first thing I recognised, breaking apart with tears. Then her face swam into focus, pale and desperate, her hands clutching mine. “Thank the goddess—you’re awake.”I tried to speak, but only a rasp came out. It felt like sand was stuck in my throat. My chest ached. Then, the sharper pain, lower in my body, twisted hard enough to make me gasp. My hands flew instinctively to my stomach.I jerked up, eyes wide, “Kath—”Katherine caught them quickly. “Shh, it’s alright. You’re alright. Baby is safe.”My heart still raced a little when I felt it—the faint, steady pulse of life still there, inside me. My body shook with relief and sweat trickled down my skin. I didn’t even realise I was crying until Katherine wiped my cheeks with trembling fingers.“You scared us,” she whispered. "I've never heard you scream soo much in your sleep before."I could only nod.The door creaked, and Clifford st

  • Fated To The Golden-Eyed Devil   131. It's A New Day

LUNA AQUAMARINE’S POV “They still call you Luna,” Katherine whispered, walking close to my side.“I hear it,” I said quietly, almost laughing, though it caught in my throat. “Strange, isn’t it? I spent years here being chained, mocked, beaten… and now I walk past them, and they bow their heads.”Her hand brushed mine, “Because they know better now. Because Clifford made them know better.”I nodded, but my chest ached. Clifford—steady, silent, Alpha now.Clifford was no longer my slave. He was a ruler now.Alexander had bestowed his pack back to him and dragged us out after the rejection. His voice carried weight the way his father’s never did. The Council was gone, replaced with men he trusted, men who fought beside him. The pack wasn’t the same anymore. They didn’t spit when I passed. They didn’t call me the devil-child cursed with white eyes. Now they call Luna Aquamarine, and it wasn’t mockery. It was… fear. Respect. Both. And yet… it didn’t matter. Because every time I closed

  • Fated To The Golden-Eyed Devil   130. Rejected By The Primus

LUNA AQUAMARINE’S POVI stood at Clifford’s door longer than I should have. My hands wouldn’t stop shaking. My chest was tight, and even though I told myself over and over that I needed to do this, I still wanted to turn back. But guilt was heavier than fear.I pushed the door open.He was awake, leaning back against the headboard, bandages strapped across his chest. His skin looked pale, his shoulders thinner, but his eyes were the same—hard, sharp, cutting into me before I could even speak.“Clifford…” I whispered, stepping inside. “I came to see you. I just—”“You just what?” His tone was flat, but the anger underneath it bled through. “Came to see how the man your mate nearly killed is doing?”I swallowed, throat dry. “I wanted to apologize.”His laugh was bitter, sharp. “Apologize? For what? For standing there while he broke my ribs? Or for letting the entire pack watch you get fucked on the balcony like some spectacle?”I flinched, my stomach twisting. “What? The entire pack?”“
