Vikron's POV

We're going hunting tonight,” I announced after the pack meeting with the pack leaders, hunters, and warriors.

Skylanders pack was a home for everyone. A place where everyone was important and added value.

They knew they always went hunting, but the announcement was made because I was going to join them.

It had already been weeks since I joined my pack hunters during a hunt. Since the night after we found Camille, Skyla had dedicated her time to taking her hunting along with her team, which was my team.

I had avoided any physical meetings with Camille to prevent rumors in the pack. She acted brave and strong like a loner, but I had seen her many times just staring at me. I wasn't interested in anything emotional or physical, especially not with her.

But tonight felt different. The need to hunt was like an urgency. It felt like a pull—a drug I needed to taste again.

The pack members at the meeting were cheering as I nodded and made my way toward the study.

“I'm happy you're joining us tonight,” a voice came from behind as I shut the door to the meeting room.

But I knew who it was. All she had to do was whisper, “Thank you, Ariella.” I said, turning to face her.

We were standing an inch apart, her breath rubbing against my neck.

“You don't have to thank me. I just want to see you happy,” her hands were walking their way to my belt when I caught her. She had a cocky smile on her face.

“Don't you ever do that again.” I held her hands away from my body but stood there when the door opened. It was Camille.

If she was disgusted or disappointed, I had no idea. But she said nothing, bowing her head slightly in greeting, then walking past us toward the mansion.

I dropped Ariella's hand. “Go join the pack members and get ready for tonight's hunt.”

She wasn't one to get upset easily. She gave her biggest smile—high cheekbones with her full lips, making her seem so innocent under the fluorescent light.

“As you wish, Alpha,” she left, chuckling slightly. I had told Ariella a million times I could not give her what she wanted, but the girl seemed to be living in her head.

Striding back to the study, I caught a glimpse of Camille, but her face was forward, as if she was headed somewhere important.

I made my way to the study, shutting the door behind me.

It was past eight when I came out. The other pack teams had left for hunting. It was just my team left.

Beta Demuel walked over. “We're ready, Alpha.”

I nodded my acknowledgment to him.

“Let's head out,” I yelled, as everyone started toward the edge of the pack's territory.

About an hour later, Skyka had linked to say they had taken down a beast somewhere around the border.

I needed to check it out, but I had a nagging feeling we still had to search the area leading to the pack's river.

I had asked Demuel, Samm, and Derrick to join me, while the others continued toward the other path.

We had only been on the path for thirty minutes when we heard a scream from some of the others. Rushing toward the sound of the noise, one man was down. There were invaders.

“Send a signal to the others to let them know there are invaders around,” I commanded, turning to Demuel.

“Everyone else, stay on guard and be alert. One man down; we don't need more casualties.”

The roar came from the area in front. We stood, waiting. Then they emerged. The scent proved they were from the same pack.

Most of the pack members had shifted already, ready to attack. Whoever this pack was, they were clearly on a mission.

I wasn't going to shift yet, but I let out a deep growl, letting the others know they were to attack and kill.

By the time it was over, only a few members of the Skylanders pack were injured. Many of the invaders were dead, a few alive, some injured. Blood splattered on the forest floor and on some leaves.

Then they retreated, bowing their heads slightly as they moved backward. There was someone else. Even though I was a few distances from the pack members, I could see them.

Some strange figures appeared. They stood with the invaders. They were obviously from the same pack, but they looked different.

The first set moved aside, making room for those behind, then they pushed someone forward. I knew who it was already from the hair.

I felt the anger crawl up my skin. I wanted to rush out and chop off their heads, but I knew they came with someone—a leader or something. They had come prepared.

“We've got this,” Beta Demuel linked me.

I nodded in the darkness, as if he could see me. It was the only way I could keep my sanity without ripping out the heads of these invaders—and who knew what they had done to Skyla.

Someone else emerged from behind. Though I didn't see his face, the hatred and my heart were enough for me to know who it was.

Even in the thickest darkness, I would recognize him. The sounds of thunder broke the silence.

Then I saw who was dragged next to him—arms chained, face swollen. That was when I remembered she had been with Skyla. Shit! I swore under my breath.

“Courageous men, you are indeed,” his voice laced with hatred. “But I think you have something that belongs to me, and that's why we came.” He smirked wickedly.

“Leave the women alone. They belong to our pack. If you want something of yours you think we have, then let us know, and it'll be returned if it's truly yours.” It was Demuel's voice.

He laughed hysterically, pulling Camille closer as she fought against the men carrying her. “This is my property,” he snarled.

“Leave her alone, you fucking cunt,” Skyla cursed as she pulled herself to her feet. Demuel moved toward her, as did the other team members.

He chuckled dryly. “She's a bad one, you know,” pointing at Skyla. “Took down some of my strong warriors.”

“Tell your Alpha or whoever the fuck your leader is that I came for my mate,” he said spitefully, then turned, signaling for his men to retreat.

I didn't need to fully shift; I just needed one arm to do the job. The snapping of heads and breaking of bones was so swift, they hadn't noticed.

“Going somewhere with my slave?” I growled through gritted teeth.

Camille's eyes blinked in shock, looking from Skyla back to me. Then a scowl appeared on her face.

I ignored her.

It was the shock on Sigewuf's face as he turned to meet my gaze. Color drained from his face as he struggled to stand still, one of his men in my left hand, head pulled from the joint.

Sigewuf froze for a few minutes. Then his color returned. He moved backward, pulling Camille even closer. Two of his men nudged forward as if to attack. “Tsk tsk, that would be so unwise of you.”

They stopped, looking at the bewildered Sigewuf for further instructions, but he was too dazed. It was eleven years after all.

“I’m here for my mate,” Sigewuf's authority couldn’t mask the fear beneath his voice.

“The lady's mine now,” I growled.

“Never!” Sigewuf yelled. His fear was getting the best of him.

“After eleven years? Shouldn't you have learned something? Little brother.” I could taste the bitterness on my tongue saying the last part, but I grinned.

“Hello, little brother,” I said, moving forward toward him.

Camille's POV I was sitting at the edge of the red bed sheet on the bed. I was mortified, to say the least. Slave? The hell! Did I look like one to him? I had had the gut feeling from the onset that this was a bad decision, but I had gone ahead and signed the damn contract. Now what? I get to be called a slave? That was worse than living the life of an omega! The door to the queen-sized room opened slightly, with Skyla peering in, half-smiling. She walked in quietly, only breaking the silence when she tried to clear her throat. “Hey.” “Hey.” “Ehmm, about tonight, I think.." "Please, I do not want to hear it, Skyla. Not tonight," I snapped. "You have to listen to me, Camille" she said placing both hands on my cheeks, pulling my face to look into her eyes "I don't want to!" I said, moving away from her "Alpha Vikron didn't mean what he said in the woods. I think he has a good re…” I wasn't ready for Skyla's diplomatic sessions, not tonight. "Just stop. Stop already! Vikron's POV Sigewuf's grip on Camille's hands was beginning to wear off. “Let her go now,” I ordered, using my alpha tone. I watched as his grip loosened around her hands. He was still in shock. I knew that, and I was glad I didn't shift fully into my wolf. Camille didn't bulge or try to join the other team members. She stood there at the spot where Sigewuf had let her go. If stares could kill, I knew she wanted hers to exterminate me without wasting a second. Her stare was burning; she was hurt. Skyla got the message and pulled her from the back to join the rest of the team. She hesitated for a few minutes and later joined the others behind. Women were A L O T. “Everyone head back to the mansion. Our work here tonight is done,” I told the team, but my gaze was on Sigewuf. I waited for everyone to leave, then I stepped closer until we could both feel each other's breath. I had so much to say to him. All the rage I had felt over the years, the hurt—I felt them deflecting as I s

Every district had cities. Cities were always crowded, always busy and bustling with activities. City life was crazy. I wondered how these humans ever survived. I sighed, adjusting the watch on my wrist. City life was crazy because humans were crazy. And living loud was their absolute normal, especially if you were in Vernice. The car drove past 6 9. A club three streets away from Ady's Creme Laude. Speakers blaring with nonsense these humans called songs. Werewolves would never be able to survive here. When I said werewolves, I meant millennials and not these rotten-spoiled, human attention-seeking, new generation breeds of werewolves. They even preferred going to schools mixed with humans. Even breeding sets of half-witted things that weren't full blood werewolves. I shook my head. Some things were repulsive to even think of. Vernice was a large city in the North. In fact, the biggest city in the North. The drive to Vernice was just three hours, but those three hours felt lik

  • Fated To The Rogue Alpha:Awakening Of The Rejected Tribrid    She Is Mine!

Sigewuf's POV It was already a week since Camille escaped from the pack. None of the pack soldiers had been able to find her. I had all the guards within the mansion on duty fed wolfsbane and then placed in the dark cell. Useless lot of them. How could they have allowed her to escape? If they survived, it would be their miracle. Peering from the window of the room Coryn had kept Camille in that night, I knew she could jump from this height, but I couldn't understand why there was no scent of her anywhere. I had ordered everyone to stay away from the room just in case their scent could mix with any trace of hers. Every wolf had a scent. In fact, once a wolf changed into their form, it was easier to pick up their scent. I sat on the bed, moving my claws over the spot where she had fallen that night. There was nothing—no scent, no sign she had lain there except for the rumpled areas. Alpha Loeka had come all the way from the south to help search for her. He couldn't be st
