Chapter 70

Emma's POV

It had been almost a week since Jordy had slept for most of the first forty-eight hours, and then, astonishingly, he began to look better.

His skin regained its color, and the blue shadows around his beautiful eyes disappeared. His wounds healed, and he started eating, walking, and doing sports.

I knew he was feeling better when he insisted that I try things I would have never eaten before. Some foods like spicy creole curries and seafood whose names I didn't recognize.

And today is the day we go home.

Austin went to Dad's office to discuss our wedding, Lydia and Mom had some private matters to attend to, and they flew home two days ago. Dad and my brothers needed to deal with business.

So, I drive Jordy to our home.

When we arrive at the castle, Jordy says, "Can you do me a favor?"

"Yeah."

Jordy rubs his chin with puppy eyes. "I haven't shaved my beard for many days."

I sigh. "But I don't have a razor here..."
