I had wanted to inform Cain first and foremost about this situation myself so that he wouldn’t be shocked and worried like he must be now. But with Clay coming here and spouting out his nonsense he has made it more difficult for me to even handle this situation.

“Why are you still standing near him Asa? Why aren’t you telling him to move away from you?” he said in such a languid and confused manner that it seemed like Cain had been in the wrong here and not him. Also why the heck is he trying to pin all of this on me?

“Why would she say anything? She is my mate!” Cain shouted at him pulling me away from him and motioned me to stay back as he faced his brother.
