Alpha Ethan (POV)"Are we ever going to get there?" I whined from the passenger seat like a child. Amber and Jonathan decided that since I wasn't in the best emotional state, Jonathan should drive. Renee's POV I awoke on the floor of the cell. It was now dark outside as there was no light coming through the small, barred windows of the basement. "Ugh" I groaned my whole body hurt, and my face felt smushed from laying on it. My hand went to the back of my head I could feel the dried blood in my hair but at least it felt like my head wound had closed. I peeled my face of the floor where it had been stuck in congealed blood. Then I pushed my body off the floor until I was in a sitting position. The lights were still on in the basement, and I could see a total of five cells, but all the other ones were empty. The change of position caused my head to start spinning. I brought my hands to either side of my head holding it up hoping to stop the dizzy spell. Renee’s (POV)I decided to try to drive it home that we were NEVER going to happen. "You know I really don't think I'm going to develop Stockholm syndrome, so I don't know why you are smiling like that." I said through gritted teeth. "Do you have any idea what all I have done for you!" He yells back"No! Because I don't really count kidnapping and imprisoning me as doing something for me!" I yell back. "You have no idea! I have been talking with council members long before you even left to figure out how to get rid of the mate mark. Alpha Ethan (POV)Having Renee's shirt did help calm me down. I held it close to my face and eventually drifted off into a restless sleep. I didn't last long before I was awake tossing and turning again, but then I would eventually drift off again for a little bit. Finally, I woke up and saw the first few streams of daylight, I quickly got out of the car and surveyed the area around me. Amber was at the hood of the car with a map laid out examining it. Renee's POV Joey gave me a small smile as he walked over. He was still very cautious bringing his hands forward to hand me the rags. I slowly walked over and raised my hands to take the rags. I made sure to graze his hand as I did. I looked into his eyes while still touching his hand and gave him a sweet smile. It had the effect I was looking for; I could see desire burning in his eyes. I brought a rag to my face and started wiping off the dried blood the best I could. He was watching me intently. I went and placed the other rags on my cot, before turning back towards Joey.
