I stared at the boy in front of me. Apart from the eyes, he looked just like a young Alpha Colt. A cheeky grin on his face as he waits for me to say something else. It was only this morning that he had been trying to pull himself up.

“And you talk?”

“Uncle Linc, stop being silly.” He turns around to the Alpha. “Dad, mummy said can you take me shopping.”

“What is happening?” I mutter

“Every few hours, he is growing out of what he is wearing.”

“That isn’t what I meant.”

“I know what you meant, but I would prefer it if we didn’t discuss it right now.” He nods his head at his son.

“Dad, I know you are talking about me.” He hops up onto Alpha Colt’s lap and blows his cheeks out. He leans forward on the desk, doodling with a pen.

“Is there anything I can do?” I wasn’t entirely sure how I was supposed to help. But it was taking the heat off of Daphne for a while.

“I haven’t been to Kaitlin’s house. Could you go search it? See if this has anything to do with the early labour.”
