“What do you think they are talking about?” I ask Callie as I stare out of the window.

“Who?”

“Alpha Knox and Alpha Colt.” I continue to watch as the men awkwardly shake hands before heading in seperate directions.

“Hopefully he is calling Alpha Knox a twat.”

“I doubt it. Alpha Colt is probably trying to keep him close. He told me before that it was always best to keep them close so that he could keep an eye on them.” After all, that was why he had brought me back to the pack.

“Let’s hope for everyone's sake that you are right. Let's also hope that Alpha Knox is just a creep.” She sighs “And nothing more. Lilah could do with a break from all these arseholes. We all could.”

“Is it always like this? I’ve only been here a little while and it always seems that something is going on.”

She shakes out her blonde curls. “No, until Lilah, we led a relatively chilled life.”
