Bella's POV

I was waiting impatiently for Chad. Tonight was the full moon, and I was hoping he could be my second-chance mate if the Goddess granted me another one. Elise handed me tea to calm my nerves, but she was just as anxious as I was.

“Here, Bella, drink this. You’re so restless; it’s not good for the baby.” I took a sip of the tea, trying to steady myself. Just as I set my cup on the small plate on the table, a deep growl startled me.

“Mate!” What?! I turned to look for the source of the sound.

“Mate!” Elise responded, throwing herself into Dane’s embrace. They were second-chance mates! That was incredible! They kissed passionately, and I nearly fled the living room as their clothes started to come off. I didn’t stop until I collided with a solid wall in front of me.
