23. Wee hours

I slept soundly and awoke in the wee hours of the morning around 1:11am, I was surprised as I thought it was already daylight, I turned only to see Jade staring at me.

"You look so beautiful when you sleep"

"You can wake me up by touching me someday, I replied smirking.

"He smiled at my silly reply and asked

What made you keep your virginity till 2 days ago?"

"I....I...It's just, I'm surprised you're suddenly asking, Is that why you're awake?".

"Kinda just watching at you and I want to protect you.."

"It wasn't easy, Most guys just wanted my body, I didn't really like guys that much then because of it. Also, I felt they weren't worth though there were handsome ones but they all wanted the same thing''

"One fateful night, during the end of the year college party, I got drunk and was almost raped but I stabbed the guy with the emergency pen knife that I always stuck in my shoes".

"And don't you think I'll be after yours"

"How different?", he asked facing me

" You are my...my..."

"Your?",....he asked inquisitively

I watched him smile sardonically and was surprised

"That guy deserves it I can't imagine him touching my girl", his face was so red with anger.

"Calm down dear, You really I should calm down, He isn't worth your anger, I really injured him that day, Luckily he didn't die"

"That's good, Anyway do you want a midnight snack? I'll go get some for you, I also have some things to deal with okayyy?"

I nodded and watched him sit on that couch, the couch where a new phase of my life begun after he handed over to me a packet of wafers from the fridge and a glass of orange juice. I looked up at him at intervals.

Now I was done eating and stared at him, he looked like a CEO in those golden rimmed glasses, he was so handsome.

Are you a CEO, I thought and shrugged it off.

"Yes, "

"You can read my thoughts?" I asked surprised I thought we... I mean wolves can only read minds or communicate

"Special wolves can", he replied giving me a reassuring smile.

I also can read my...mat..my love's thoughts.

I smiled understanding why he stammered, not wanting to disturb him any longer seeing he was so busy typing away his laptop, I decided to be quiet.

I just finished eating and lay down on the bed trying to get some sleep but I just couldn't and I felt bored, I decided to wade the stress off my body so I went to take my bath. I was done bathing and doing my facials and applying cream on my body.

I walked to the wardrobe, we now shared clothes like couples, he probably liked the idea that was why I he didn't disturb me with the clothes talk again. I took one of his pyjamas and walked to the mirror, I saw him turn him turn to me and look at me from my legs upwards, I smirked if I was in the mood, I would have seduced him but I was so tired.

I didn't want him to notice that I saw him so I quickly removed my eyes. I knew how to wear clothes towels, even if 10 guys were in that room they wouldn't see a thing. I bottomed down the shirt, pulled the towel down to my waist region and put on his pyjamas.

He looked away, he probably wanted to see something more but he saw none,humph so mischievous. I pulled the towel away from my waist and walked to the bathroom hanging it on the towel rack.

"Good night sweetheart", I muttered as I walked out knowing full well that he didn't hear me. I actually didn't want him to hear me. I walked dizzily to the bed and lay down gently tucking myself in the bed sheets.

I was almost in my fairy dreamland when I felt soft wet lips on my forehead. Jade really knew how to turn me on, my body reacted violently but my brain was so tired at the end I had to ignore the crave, I was just not in the mood for sex.

"You didn't wish me good night",

"Sorry, I felt dizzy"

"What do you mean by dizzy"

"Nothing I meant I was sleeping,I.. I felt sleepy''

I didn't actually want to Jade to get unnecessarily worried especially seeing the lines of worry on his face, he probably would call a physician this night or even use some of his power.

He switched off the lamp stand and tucked himself inside the bed sheet beside me with his laptop still on his thighs. He slowly caressed my hair. I felt so happy that he treated me like a queen and like his wife or his mate as we called in the wolf world.

I liked him in fact, I really loved his company, his passion, his love, his care and treating me like a baby as he always called me and f****** me gently though at times he was really wild. Thinking about all the things I slept off with a smile on my face.

Jade's POV

I watched as she slept off. I knew that she was really tired that was why I didn't try to make advances when she was dressing up. I was done checking the draft of the project scale, the designs and sale files of the design department.

I was so tired and shutdown my laptop, I lay beside her telling how her beautiful eyelash was touching her lower eyes. I was so lucky to have such a precious gem as my mate.

I recalled how riled up I was when she wasn't in my room, At that time, I thought that our little secret had been exposed. Just then I recalled that she told me she wanted to go to college perhaps Brianna took her there.

I ordered my guards to prepare the cars and soon got to the college. I didn't care about the attention those damn girls were trying to get.

I was just following Alice scent till I saw her, She looked so cute as she pretended not knowing me.

I turned to look at her again and remembered what she said about the guy who tried to force himself on her.

If I got to know who the guy was, I would deal with him mercilessly, If he had succeeded, I wouldn't have such a girl as my mate regarding the laws of the Pack. I didn't even what to think of how It would be like, Most importantly she was by my side. I was so lost in staring at her and soon I fell asleep.
